A Red Rose

Sylvia and her husband created a dream on our wedding day! The flowers were flawless, it was everything we asked for and more, she was very reasonable with her pricing, and a complete delight to work with. I would refer ANYONE in need of a florist to "a red rose" !!!

Thank you to Sylvia for preparing our flowers and centerpieces a day early so that our wedding could take place despite a hurricane. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the flowers were and the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful. Thank you again for helping to make our wedding happen.

If I could give zero I would. Beware of this company. We settled a contract almost a year before the wedding took place and 6 months out we went to see Sylvia and changed the date from November 4th to November 5th 2017. at 2pm on the day of the wedding we got a call from the planner saying the florist hasn’t showed up for our 4pm wedding. We called Sylvia at that point and she said she thought our wedding was November 10th and had none of our flowers. At that point we had to call another florist and they were able to throw together a bridal bouquet and flower girl baskets which they charged us 750 dollars for which is outraged but we were in a pinch and almost had nothing for the ceremony. We contacted Sylvia after our honeymoon to request a refund she wouldn’t even answer the phone and instead choose to act like a child and handle it over text. She is still trying to make a profit on the deal and wasn’t even willing to refund enough money for us to pay the florist we had to hire 2 hours before the wedding so at this point we are out 2250 dollars and received nothing from Sylvia but nasty text messages. Please SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!! My wife cried out her makeup 3 times 1 hour before our wedding because of this heartless woman

First I would like to start that this vendor is VERY expensive for the quality of work that she delivers. Not only does she not listen to what you, the customer wants, she is very unorganized and rude. My wife booked this florist over a year ago after meeting her a bridal show. She is explained everything she wanted and was given a price. She wrote a check for the full amount and was happy with her purchase, until she received a copy of her contract in the mail and one of the things she ordered was crossed off (because this old vendor writes her whole contract in very sloppy handwriting) the orchids she wanted in the center of the vases was crossed off the contract, I personally tried several times to get in contact with Sylvia to correct the issue and for over a month I could not get ahold of her, which was very worry some. When I finally did get ahold of her, she claimed she had been having phone issues... yeah okay for a month? I don't think so! Then closer to our wedding my wife met with her again, our numbers went down so we needed less centerpieces ect. We didn't ask for a refund, but asked Sylvia to use the flowers elsewhere, like making my wife's bouquet bigger (because is a plus size girl) and Sylvia adjusted the contract and we thought everything was fine until a week before the wedding the cake vendor called and said the florist wouldn't return her calls for flowers on the cake! This was a whole ordeal we had to deal with a few days before our wedding! The day of the ceremony, A Red Rose was LATE, my bride's bouquet was TINY and wasn't even composed of the flowers she had requested and she didn't even have her bouquet for her bridal portraits, I didn't have my boutonnière for my first look, and when I did finally receive my boutonniere is was crushed, brown tinged and dead looking as were my fathers, the bride's father, the grandfathers ect. The roses for the centerpieces were the wrong color, dark pink and dark yellow instead of coral and butter yellow. Sylvia and her team showed up to the venue looking like street people, no professional attire AT ALL, which would have been fine if the weren't staying an hour after the ceremony setting up flowers where my guests could see how unprofessional they looked. And to top it all off after my bride gave her a 3 star rating on the wedding wire, stating "flowers were beautiful just not what I had ordered" Sylvia commented back very rude nasty things including telling my new wife how overweight she is. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FLORIST FOR ANYTHING! SAVE YOUR MONEY, READ THE BAD REVIEW ON THE KNOT THAT WE MISSED AND LOOK ELSEWHERE! SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND FRUSTRATION! THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH ON A DAY YOU WILL REMEMBER FOREVER!

She may seem like a nice old lady but her memory is going and she almost ruined my wedding day. She was contracted to do my wedding and failed to provide all of the items and came up with a lie stating that she had the wrong date. On top of that she was nasty and rude and took no accountability for her actions. Do not trust this woman!
Please stay away. I beg you!!!!
