Dog Haus

I have eaten here numerous times since finding this gem! The food is amazing. Amongst the best, if not the best, fries, burger, and hot dogs in San Antonio! Prices are also great.
The chili is excellent, so I highly recommend the chili cheese dog and fries. The burgers use a sweet Hawaiian bun that easily cuts into half/fourths. The batter on the fries is AMAZING. And do not get me started on the sweet potato fries!! (Spoiler: order some chipotle aioli with them and thank me later!).
I tried the Cowboy dog also, and it is different and good! The chicken tenders are good as well! See the picture of chicken tenders, fries, and chili cheese tots!!!

My wife and I are new to San Antonio and have been trying out new places recently. This is one that we will be coming back to many times! The only bad part is not being able to try all the menu items all in one sitting. So many options and all sound delicious! I can't wait to make return trips.

It was our first time visiting this establishment. They also had a "Trivia Night".

First of all, the food was excellent! The drinks were also top notch. We were with a bunch of friends & the drinks ranged from Beer, Cider, the Soooo Cal and Gin & Juice. I def recommend the side item "The Love Boat" (french fries w chili & slaw).

Back to Trivia; the trivia host was great. He explained the rules and made everyone feel comfortable w participating, even the late arrivals. We'll definitely be returning!

Stopped in to satisfy a random craving. The Downtown dog was DELICIOUS! Oh man, whatever they do to those onions… whew! The service was fantastic. The bartender let me taste a few of the MANY beers they have on tap before picking one to commit to. Chill atmosphere, great service, excellent food! I’ll definitely be back!

This place is so delicious! I can't wait for them to open back up. Posting a pic of the door from 3/22/24 to keep track of when they might reopen. There's no date on the paper and it says "next week", but this sign has been here for some time.

How about a fancy hotdog!? This place has it! There is nothing better than a dang good hot dog paired with a nice cold beer! If you’re not sure, JUST TRY IT!

And make sure you get the love boat fries! We love it here! I suggest looking online to help pick the hot dog your want. The menu is a little wordy and it can be easy to overlook these delicious hot dogs.

Order first, have a seat. They’ll bring your beer and your hot dog to you in a quick amount of time! Need anything else, just ask. The service to so great here!

Wow, this place was more than I expected and hoped for and more.
I had the bratwurst with the chi cheese fries, the bread o. The bratwurst was super soft and tasty, almost like a brioche toast.
The saurkraut was tasty and not overpowering. It had a German Mustard and it too was not overpowering.
The homemade "haus" chili was good, the fries were good, but in hindsight, i shouldve gotten the tots with chili.
I had some.water and a sweet tea, and the tea was the right sweetness.
I will return when I'm not rushed.
Overall good meal and the pricing matched the good sized portions and was not too expensive.
My server AM C made good reccomendations and was most helpful.
I WILL BE RETURNING WITH MY FAMILY UNIT.
And I'm trying the corn dog next!!

I was a first timer today and they will be too!!

Took the family to Dog Haus for the first time on a Monday evening. Signs on the front door warned of short staff, and we saw one person on the front register, one working the bar, and presumably one or two cooking, but definitely a skeleton crew considering the busyness we saw. At least 8 at the bar our whole time there, and multiple families and couples in and out during our hour long stay. The food came out surprisingly fast, all things considered. The building is absolutely a nice spot for a beer and a dog.

As for the food, the kids meals filled my kids up for sure. We got a corn dog/hot dog meal, hot dog/cheeseburger meal, and the chicken tenders meal for kids. All excellent.

For adults, we tried the cowboy (no onions), the chili cheese dog (no onions), a hot Italian sausage sliced with cheese, and the Nashville hot tenders. All the food was great, but the Cowboy was way better than the chili dog. The Nashville hot tenders lived up to their name with the right amount of heat. The spicy Italian sausage was good, with a punch of black pepper.

Overall, worth it on a slow night for sure.

What a treat!!!! A beautiful day with wonderful food an amazing service! I felt like a child ordering their corn dog which had a root beer batter. Sooo awesome. Onion rings were hot and flavorful. Hubby had the Old Town hot dog which was amazing looking. Of course we had beer too! The rootstock cider works peach cider. *chefs kiss* and the trail ale shiner was the best American nut brown I have ever had! I think we found our weekend place to go when we want a relaxing experience!

Amazing!!! Everything was huge and they were very fast. You order as soon as u come in and then you seat yourself, so all food for the 5 of us came out in no more than 10-15 minutes. All meat is cooked to perfection and the tots/fries were seasoned so well. Everyone was raving about their own meal and a lot of sharing went down. Pictures don't do it justice. Will definitely be returning soon. Customer service was really great too.

Loved it! I’d been want to try Dog Haus and lucked out when they opened this one super close to my house. It’s hard to find a place with legit vegetarian options, it was awesome to have several menu items to choose from. AND they have a bar!!! Everything came out great, the Sooo Veggie dog was even better than I expected. We also tried the Hot Chick with the beyond tenders, also so tasty. Fries and tater tots were hot and crispy, I think the fries have a special seasoning on them. We also tried some of the cocktails, the Blind Mellon and Irish Hello were the group favorites. Honestly can’t wait to go back again and get a nice cold beer, sit outside and enjoy a veggie dog!

Fast friendly service. Tons of beers on tap but these dogs STOLE the show!!! So freaking good! My husband and I went on my lunch break so I was absolutely pleased the food was fast. The flavors of these dogs are craftfuly created! We will be back! 10/10 recommend! 🌭✨

I get pub food at a low key sports bar vibe. All the brats, burgers, and hotdogs are served on Hawaiian rolls. The tots are amazing. There are a ton of beer options on tap and they make cocktails that look delicious. Order at the bar and you'll be given a number that you can set on whichever table you pick out. There is both inside and outside seating. There are at least fifteen TVs so if you're down to watch a game this is probably a good place to do that.

Hmmm, fancy hotdogs and brats? Check. Also, they have fancy sliders, too. The chili cheese tots were also good. Overall, this is a good lunch spot if you're wanting a relaxed spot for a quick drink and food.

Huge variety of options and all the ones we tried were delicious. Place was clean and well lit. Service very good. For the sports fans plenty of TVs to watch sports. Food here was really good.

I was looking forward to trying this place and it didn't disappoint. It has options for meat-eaters and vegetarians which is great! When it comes to vegetarian options there is quite a bit of choice, especially for a burger spot. The traditional beef burger was juicy and flavorful and the French fries and tots were crispy. The impossible nuggets surprised me with how similar they taste to chicken nuggets. Everything turned out great and will definitely order from here again.

This place is actually really cool! The atmosphere is comfortable and doesn't feel like just a bar type place at all, yet they do have a ton of drink options. We tried a couple hotdogs and burgers, which honestly, they are EXTREMELY good!! The bread is Hawaiian rolls!! So just that alone tells you how good these are. Highly recommend.

Never had a Hawaiian roll as a hot dog bun but came out really good.the staff were kind and helpful,The restaurants was nice and clean great atmosphere.

Lots of options for quality burgers and fancy hot dogs, including Impossible Meat and veggie options. The bun was incredible, I could have eaten it by itself. Impressive amount of beer on tap as well. Patio was great, TV’s were on with no sound, just a little dance music to enjoy….but we could still hear each other. That’s perfect for an old person like me.

Fun atmosphere. We sat outside and it was perfect. It was very busy (6:30 on a Saturday) but it was delicious and is a new family favorite. I had the vegetarian sausage and it was delicious. My toddler loved the mix and match sliders.
