The Inn On Third

This little Inn is so quaint and so welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good and the atmosphere almost begs you to talk with other travelers. The location is close to Central Avenue, downtown and the places you would like to visit are nearby. I would recommend this Inn especially if you are not looking for a big corporate feel. Rates are reasonable in my opinion and Brian, one of the owners, could not be more accommodating and just plain friendly

This Inn is like going back in time. It had a beautifully decorated entry with a very accommodating front desk. The owners are very sweet and friendly and full of local knowledge. Our room was quaint and warm (it was cool outside) with antique furniture, warm CLEAN bedding and bath and had all that we needed, including a closet with hangers (unlike the European hotels that have a metal stand for a closet.)
They offer a continental breakfast and a happy hour (5-7 pm) and there is onsite parking and it is quite close to all you might need as far as restaurants and cultural spots to visit. Would definitely go here again and recommend it to anyone who likes the personal touch.

Don't miss this gem if you are in St. Pete. Stayed here for one night to go to a show at Jannus Live (walking distance- priceless!). Ideal location by many restaurants and things to do, parking included, not to mention an awesome little evening reception and light breakfast. The room itself was quaint, cozy, and perfect for our needs. Super friendly host, excellent service, great value for the price in St. Pete. Would definitely not mind another staycation here!

This hotel was great. The place is old but charming and clean. Comfortable bed. Super nice staff. The location is perfect walking distance to great restaurants, the pier and the Dali museum. The breakfast was so much better than a continental breakfast. And happy hour was a nice plus.

I spent a night at this Inn at the last minute when a reservation elsewhere fell through. I was delighted with the staff at the front desk and the welcoming feeling of the lobby. My room was clean, quiet, cozy and had everything I needed. There was a happy hour gathering for wine/beer and the breakfast was light and healthy. I met three different staff members (I wasn't sure which ones were the owners) and they were each lovely. The room and Inn felt safe and secure.

What a cozy and charming little inn! We came here for a long weekend and had nothing but positive experiences with each and every staff member. The lobby is decorated for Halloween and adds to the charm. The rooms were great, had a modern shower and key/lock. There is a friendly atmosphere among the guests and staff. Really, you can't force the kind of friendliness and joy that filled the air at the Inn on Third. You should come feel it for yourself!

This is our go-to spot when we travel to St. Petersburg overnight for Tampa Bay Rays games at Tropicana Field, just a five-minute drive away. It’s also convenient to downtown, The Pier and museums near the waterfront. The Inn on Third is an older building, constructed in 1937 and transformed into a retro gem that features clean, comfortable rooms adorned with eclectic choices in furniture, There’s parking next door, and security is basically built into your room card key (because you need it to enter the building). The owners/innkeepers are warm and welcoming, providing an evening glass of wine or beer, as well as a simple continental breakfast in the lobby. Best of all, it’s an incredible bargain – just check out the prices on their website. This is a true hidden gem that we’re very happy to have discovered.

It just occurred to me that I meant to leave a review for the Inn on Third and life got so busy that I forgot. But, 5 months later, I still think they’re worth writing about. Our stay was that great!

My wife and I stayed for about 2 weeks in August 2022 when we had to travel for her to have surgery. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the owners (and their staff) are. They were incredibly helpful with things like finding extra pillows for my wife to elevate her hands and recommending places to eat and things to do. The inn itself is well-kept and has a comfy, homey feel to it.

They exceeded our expectations in terms of our stay. But more than that, Brian and Stephanie are just kind, good-hearted people. Every time I walked downstairs, I was asked how my wife was feeling and my never-ending complaining about being in Florida was always met with good humor. The first time we stayed in St. Pete, we stayed at a different hotel and it was fine. But if you want more than fine, stay at The Inn on Third. There’s a personal touch to this place that I won’t soon forget. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

It was adorable and everything was great.
Innkeepers Brian and Stephanie were very nice and welcoming. It felt like we were in their home. Yes, it’s an older building, but there was nothing we were lacking. They were also very knowledgeable regarding the area, which was helpful. They also lent us towels for the beach. Loved coming in late one night to see a foursome playing cards like it was their living room. ❤

Almost a magical kind of place. Everything that should be clean and modern, i.e. air conditioning, grout, a refrigerator, etc., was included, and all the best of the original building, the basketweave tilework in the bathroom, the wood trim, the furnishings, was beautifully restored. Add to that the good cheer of the innkeepers, the generous 'continental breakfast', and the lobby you really did feel like lounging in and reading the paper, The Inn on the Third is the place I'll recommend to all my out of towners. Three blocks from Beach Drive!

Brian and his staff were amazing.. staying in the heart of St. Pete didn’t break the budget, but we got the VIP treatment - didn’t expect that. We felt special, Brian was so sincere - wanted to know about us, helpful and energetic so much that it was contagious, we met other guests, we enjoyed a free drink during social hour. He gave us great recommendations. Opened the door for us every time, even when we came from outside. The place was charming and had a antique feel to it. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. We would love to comeback again. We were visiting to watch Rays vs Cardinals baseball.

Quaint, cozy, and comfortable inn. The Proprietors, Brian & Stephanie, are always there for you and give themselves freely to their business and it’s guests. I like that.

The location is perfectly nestled in downtown St. Petes within walking distance to everything you need. If not a short car ride takes care of the rest. Or the free Trolly that picks you up near the Inn every 15-20 minutes!

The price is rather fair for its location in such a gorgeous place. The minor trade-offs will be an older building, with smaller spaces than newer construction. For the light traveler or the austere visitor this matters little! A place to lay your head, relax, and have a very nice breakfast and happy hour which are on the Inn. I would certainly stay there again! Great small business!! Best to you.

It's your quaint getaway spot. Mere minutes from everything, the Inn on Third provides an experience the big, chain hotels cannot. You'll feel like you're staying at your Nana's house, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. It's our go-to whenever we need an overnight in St. Pete.

It was a great location close to many restaurants with very kind hosts/inn keepers. I didn’t wake up in time to try the breakfast or partake in the social hour with wine but I think it’s nice that they include it anyways. The rooms are more vintage and out-dated but I personally think that’s a part of the charm. While I really enjoyed my short stay here, I would note that the beds are not too comfortable as the mattresses feel spring-y. However, I’m not too picky and slept well enough.

What a value! And if you like antiques, this is the place for you! DH said it was like a stay at Grandma's. The service was excellent! Breakfast was included as was overnight parking. We just missed the inn's happy hour. We booked directly through the inn for the best rate. The rooms may show a few dings in the paint, but it's all a part of period charm. The linens were spotless!

We stayed here a couple of nights during the St Pete boat show. It was a great location, we could take the free trolley down to the water which wasn't very far. Brian and crew were absolutely amazing everybody is family to them. Anytime I come to St Pete that's the only place we are going to stay!

The Innis charming. It was lovely to step away from the outside world and to enjoy the comfort and ambience of the Inn.

My wife and I had an amazing first time staying here. Owner Brian and ALL staff was fantastic. All so kind, helpful and professional. Interacted with us. The inn was so cozy. Loved the place. Price was very affordable. Within walking distance to alot. Can't wait to come back !!
