Found Mr. Smith to be very engaging, sharp and very personable - Very efficient and explained each step of our closing and paperwork in detail. I enjoyed his broader topics of discussion through the process ( architecture and such ) and his focus to detail on the closing of our home. I enjoyed that he wasn't your typical business-only dry lawyer going through the steps. I would recommend his services with 5 Stars.

Mr. Smith is very thorough and handles clients needs with compassion and timeliness. He is always working to best serve his clients and to keep all parties abreast of the transaction as it proceeds to closing.

I have used Young on several occasions personally. He is the most thorough real estate attorney that I have ever dealt with. He is interesting and engaging. In response to the negative comments, I suspect Mr. Smith was telling them what they NEEDED to hear, not what they wanted to hear.

Our closing was smooth sailing and Mr Smith was very thorough in explaining everything to us carefully. Nice personality. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Highly recommend him!

We used Young Smith as our closing attorney numerous times when we were building houses. The process always went smooth and we were very satisfied. Recommend him highly.

Helpful during closing process

Be Careful - Beware !!!!!!!! Ok well I wasn't going to provide detail however there have been so many wonderful reviewers that have saved me from bad experiences in the past. Friday August 6th Closing at 11AM I mailed in our docs they received them by 10:30AM Buyers signed and the deed was recorded and stamped by Caldwell County at approximately 2:01 PM My agent texts me at 3:37 and tells me the wire may not hit until monday and the buyers have the keys and we don't have our money and basically there is nothing we can do. Well I guess Mr Smith wanted to float our $500,000 until monday. Mr Smith hung up on me and told me to have a NC attorney call him. He would not disclose the bank name so I could follow up on the wire because he didn't even initiate it until 4:22 PM from the confirmation receipt I have. Not sure what is considered unethical in NC but in my book this is very unethical. I have a Florida Real Estate Brokers license and I would never allow my customers to be treated this way. I even had to ask for closing documents on saturday morning because no one emailed them to me....... Its not your money why would you hold it over the weekend when you had an 11 AM closing that went very smoothly ????? Very very sad that he is entrusted with others money. Do the right thing out there people...

This old guy needs to retire. He has no clue of the newer real estate laws and does most of his work for the banks so you cannot trust him to represent you as his client. A lawyer needs to be tough and stand up for his client sometimes and Young Smith is surely not that guy.

Provided incompetent services. Not interested in helping... only making excuses. I would not recommend this firm.
