Tommy's Restaurant

I wanted to hit a down home, mom and pop , small local restaurant while traveling through the south. Having rented a cabin 20 minutes north, this place seemed a good fit.
The food was good with generous portions. My waiter made me feel more than welcome. With more than a dozen other places within 20 minutes of where I was staying, I'm glad I picked this one.

Great ! The first time I took my grandson there, I knew what to expect he didn't. We got almost the same(flounder) except for different sides. The server was extremely nice & patient, as he decided his sides. He was hungry, expecting his food within seconds, I explained that good food takes a few min, and just a few min there it was. WOW, all that, nana !
Yeah, I could have taken him to McDonald's just a couple min away for just a little cheaper. Let me put that again, just a little cheaper, but this is so better for ya ! Good home cooked food ! The real stuff.
He got full and was happy, and so was nana,
I recommend this place to everyone !

My bf and I love this place! It was our first time there. We went there for the seafood platter, it’s totally worth it!! Only $20 for a ton of seafood and three sides. Definitely going again

Tonight wed. 1/31/24 we decided to go for a late dinner at Tommy's. We arrived at about 8:30. They close at 9 yet they happily seated us. The food was wonderful. However this is more about the server! We have eaten here for years. Tonight our server was a young guy. ( We didn't catch his name)He was the best server we have ever had there. This guy was absolutely wonderful, a true necessity to Tommy's. I hope he stays there . His personality was above and beyond 5 stars! The job he did as our waiter was also a above and beyond wonderful! So a perfect dinner for the evening! Thanks Tommy's!

Everything was perfect as usual , except the fried okra. It had alot of hard stick like places in it. Couldn't chew it or swallow it. It was like eating tree bark shavings. But like I said everything else was 5 stars as usual. One of our favorite places to eat.

Loved it! Biggest burger ever. Two meals worth, couldn’t eat it all. Prices reasonable and staff fantastic. Burger $12.95 and drink $2.10. I had to go back and I got the seafood platter for $19.95 and it was spectacular. If I am ever in this area again, I will definitely return to this gem.

Nice place for a good breakfast, we stopped with a party of 14 and tried several dishes. The pancakes are supper fluffy and huge, we also tried several omelets but the winner is the farmers omelet. You just try this if you eat meat.
Eggs where surprisingly huge as well.

If you are in the area don't think twice in coming to Tommy's for a good breakfast 🥣

I went on a Friday after work with my son. It was packed!!! I got the tilapia, hush puppies, cole slaw and french fries, I had so much leftovers to take home. My son ordered fried pickles( delicious and a huge plate), we took that home too. You will not go home hungry! Please tip the waitress good, they only get two something an hour and say thank you❤❤❤❤❤

Great find in a small town...located on the north side of town, the varied menu offers some for everyone. Daily specials are a winner... great food, service and price.

Try the flounder. It's delicious!

Tommy's Family Restaurant is a down home, family atmosphere, laid back, but busy place. Everyone was so friendly, service was awesome and quick considering it was a jam packed joint that evening! We ordered a couple of big plates and basically had another full meal later! Can't believe we've not been here before. We'll be back since there's so many other items we want to try out. If you're looking for something fancy, it's not here, but if you're looking for simple with great food, friendly folks, tons of food then Tommy's is the place to go!

A treasure of a restaurant where the food is outstanding. A truly unique opportunity to be able to have sea food, country cooking, or true Italian. Driving about an hour is worth the time for such a friendly atmosphere and such incredible food. Food was served hot and with an appealing display on the plate. Price was about the going cost for what is being offered. A real diamond 💎 of a find.

The amount of food is well worth the price. Anytime I go out, I can finish all the food on my plate, Tommy's load me down with their sea food plater. Great service, and I've had people comment on my Facebook post that when they come down this way they want to go try this restaurant, I replied, come on down.

Seafood platter was amazing! Great deal. Our waitress wasn't just efficient but nice and fun. Drove an hour to eat here and will do it again!

The best place we ate while we were on vacation! Apps were huge and so were entrees. Food was out fast as well! A little disappointed in myself that we didn't leave room for dessert, but definitely will be back!

We ordered the lasagna and it was a huge dish and very good. The service could not have been any better, very attentive and accommodating. The prices are affordable. They make their own cheesecake and you must try it! We will be going back soon.

It's a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent and huge portions of really good food. We will definitely be back.
