This is one of the best access points on the Monocacy River for wade fishing. This area of the river has a healthy Smallmouth Bass population due to excellent structure, and gradient flow. The park is county maintained with paved parking, restrooms, picnic areas, and a concrete boat launch with steps providing easy access to and from the river.

Its a nice family park with tot lot for kids. Potomac river is the main attraction and the water level is low most of the times and it’s good place for getting into water.
I feel relaxed whenever I visit this place and highly recommend this if you live around Frederick!

Water is below knee level, nice and warm. Kids enjoy here playing in water. Not much current.

Been here multiple times over the years to paddle the Monocacy. Really like the improvements they've made over the years particularly the new boat ramp! It's steep and the stairs are narrow but the ramp to haul up your boat was nice. Definitely beats walking over the broken concrete and avoiding the poison ivy of the past! They were replacing the 6x6s around the lot while we were they so we parked along the ample shoulders of the road.

Great place to get in the Monocacy and just float, kayak or fish all day. Nice ramp to launch kayaks and canoes.

Very easy place to park and drop in your kayak or canoe. Shallow place to walk with kids in the river and the playground is perfect for toddlers

There is plenty of space for swimming. It's child safe but still needs surveillance from the parents. The park has playgrounds and shelters.

Park was nice and clean, kid's had a wonderful time. My wife didn't want to leave, she wanted to go get charcoal and fire up a grill.

Even though I was there late evening, it was nice to walk around and meet some dog owners as they were exiting the dog park.
