I have purchased several outfits from African Land over the past five years. The prices are reasonable and customer service is superb. I feel like I am in a museum when I shop there. As a matter of fact, I plan to shop there tomorrow.

This store is amazing. From the time you walk in the store, you feel like you are in African Land! From the art , to the fabric, to the jewelry, to the books- you can literally feel the love resonated within the store. It is truly a pleasure to see all that the store has to offer. Each time I come here, it is a wonderful experience. In December, I purchased my first Kinara, as well as other items at African Land. The owner was kind, thoughtful and considerate. He always has wise and encouraging words and phrases. I love how he talks highly of his family and encourages my daughter to stay active in the community. He is really big on relationships and reiterates the purpose we have to each other as a people. The materials at the store are wonderful, but the people at the store make it feel like home.

This store is one of Durham's best kept secrets! I have shopped there for many years and always been impressed with the quantity and quality of African and African American products. The owner and staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable. I have never had an unpleasant experience. I always receive compliments on my purchases and questions about where they can buy similar items. The prices are very reasonable. I love this store!

The first time I went there I dropped my debit card outside the door and the owner found it and kept it until I came back. He was so nice and in addition visiting this store is much like a museum experience. You just want to aww and stare at all the wonderful art. He has some really great things in this store. What an A+ experience!!!

I’ve been shopping at African Land for over a decade. The store is absolutely beautiful!...There is so much to choose from whether you’re adorning your body or your home...buying health supplements or purchasing reading material. It’s the place to be.

I visited African Land for the first time yesterday and made two purchases. During my visit, I was captivated by the items that are sold in the store. As a result, I returned today and made another purchase. The store contains everything that is related to the African culture: books, clothing, jewelry, natural oils and soaps, artifacts and many more! Compared to other stores in North Carolina, the items in the store are affordable! As a result, I will visit African Land frequently. Finally, the store has a pleasant aura, which I have attributed to its owner. I found him to be very pleasant, kind, wise and welcoming.

I've been shopping at African Land over 10yrs. Customer service is always great. They definitely have the best oils in Durham! Their black soap is awesome.. I will continue to shop here and will recommend my friends and family.

My family and I walked in this store 15 min before closing and the gentleman in there immediately looked at his watch. I said I know I know you’re closing at 7. The man realizes that we knew what we wanted and couldn’t find it so he graciously looked in a box and gave us the size we were looking for. He was very nice and patient with us. We got in and out within 5-6 minutes!! He still had about 5 min before he was about to close!! 😊 This store is amazing and has very nice African attire for all occasions! We will be returning!!

This is such an amazing store to get anything African; ranging from clothes, handmade jewelry, perfumes artwork name it. And the guy takes time to help and explain things for you. I loved my visit and will always make a stop. There's always something to like and not very pricy for their uniqueness.

I love this store! I stop by every week just to see what's new, lol! The owner is very nice and friendly. If you are looking for a particular item he will go out of his way to help you find it. He has a variety of things in the store ranging from African art, jewelry, and clothing to oils and body butters. Ladies, check out the clothing!! Very pretty African dresses and skirts. I have been shopping with African Land for almost 20 years! I always enjoy the experience and receive the best service. Mr. Udo (what I call him) is always helpful and knowledgeable about his merchandise. I love the oils and earrings! If he doesn't have it, he will do his best to get it for you. I can stay in there for an hour or more just looking at stuff. One of Durham's first and oldest establishments selling authentic African merchandise.

I love going to African Land, every time i visit i am treated with respect and leave feeling satisfied and knowing my business is appreciated. We enjoy the oils greatly, the quality can't be beat...receiving oils uncut and direct from the Motherland is hard to come by now. He has good customer service with high grade uncut oils and never out of stock of all other natural products very organized business. I highy recommend his oils over anyone else in town for there quality.I am a 13 year customer 14 years as we speak..

African Land is a great store. Customer service is great, and I love the body oils. The oils are the best that I have ever had. The jewelry is also great and authentic. The clothes are great too. I visit the store at least twice a month.

I have enjoy going to this shop for years now. The owner Utibe is always nice and filled with kind words of encouragement. The place has some of everything so plan on spending a good bit of time looking around. Statues, oils, authentic African clothing, jewelry and much more can be found at this treasure shop.

I come to African Land for my health and beauty products, which mainly consist of raw African Black Soap and Shea Butter. You don't truly know the quality of these products and greatness they can do for your skin until your try them. African Land has been providing these products for years. When I want to smell good, I make sure I come to African Land to get some of their many different body oils. Nobody that I can think of has body oils that even come close to these oils and of course, you know they last all day when you put them on... now that is high quality.
