Dutch's Daughter

The prices keep going up but, this is still the best seafood in Maryland, so I keep coming back. Some places are known for one thing that they do well. Dutch’s Daughter does everything very well!
The service is excellent. The food is excellent.
Special note: the crab dip was disappointing. It was bland and not nearly as good as I remembered.
The fired oysters appetizer is wonderful. In fact, the fired oysters, shrimp and scallops are lightly breaded. Just enough to give a good texture yet leave the shellfish and its flavor as the star of the dish.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

I paid $125.08 for two people and tipped 45$, worth every penny. The atmosphere is fancy and welcoming, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is phenomenal. Our server Josh was fantastic, and gave us a dessert on the house. I will absolutely be coming here for date night more often.

This is probably one of the most wonderful places to eat in the state of Maryland. The ambiance is inviting and intimate yet welcoming and social. The service is impeccable. The food is beyond delicious. Let’s start with the crab baked bread 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 the complimentary bread with THE HONEY BUTTER!!!!!????? Lawd have mercy. Drinks are top notch. The entrees are so amazing and a great portions. Some I can eat in one sitting and others I have to take home. We live an hour plus away and it’s our annual Valentines Day trip for the past 4 years. And if we leave the DMV best believe we flying back for this.

Great atmosphere in the Dungeon. Food was outstanding. We had stuffed mushrooms caps with lump crab and the hot & spicy shrimp. I had the Seafood Saute and my friend had the Lump Crab cakes. Everything was Delicious!

I don't think anyone walking out of this establishment would disagree with me. The food was prepared to perfection, seasoned to a T. Every dish was. There wasn't one thing a wrong with anything.
The decor was the best, from the decorated trees and the hanging ornaments from the ceiling. This place is PERFECTION!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Amazing Staff handled everything to perfection on my arrival, seating and the wonderful Server Amber , she never had me waiting for anything - attentive to making my experience exceptional as she is a great asset to Dutch’s success. Everyone I was in contact with was a complete reflection of the manager Alley and how she treats her associates. I was grateful to see customer service and great food are still their focus and I highly recommend you experience perfection . Great Job done and my ultimate thanks , GH

Excellent - large portions of perfectly cooked seafood. Try the blackened salmon salad and fried green tomatoes. Orange crush are made with fresh orange juice. Very friendly atmosphere. I’ve always noted how most tables were enjoying their food and company whenever I eat here which is often. The manager is very helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend the lemon chiffon pie as it’s the best I’ve ever had. Our server Grace was informative, attentive and just a wonderful person who went out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant dining experience. One of my favorite restaurants.

Dutch’s Daughter offers an elegant, and mouth watering fine dining experience.

From the ambiance and food to the service with a smile, this restaurant is a must go to! We hosted our holiday lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. Our server was always smiling and with a party of our size, that alone was noteworthy. Everything was served to perfection and they didn’t mind our dollar store Xmas tree on the table or our fun game of white elephant at the table either!

Order the beef. Medallions which came out perfect for me, nice pink inside,tender and moist. The salad served had a delicious sauce. The chocolate mousse pie was good but nothing special.
We visited the dungeon which is pretty interesting. Wouldn't mind going there for a drink or dinner.

The dungeon is charming, warm and inviting. The food is amazing and the service wonderful... a perfect place to treat yourself!

This is the best place for crab dip, amazing crab cakes, and everything seafood. Love eating in the dungeon around back for a more casual setting. A must stop when visiting home for me!

Interesting place. Huge restaurant and very popular, the parking lot seems to get full right as the restaurant opens. It has a very strange feel like I've been teleported back to the 90s.

The crab cake sandwich, i was told was the most popular item so I tried it. It's pretty good, but the bread was a little too heavy with the fish cake imo. The chips are also very good. The crab cake itself is probably the best crab cake I've had in MD yet, lots of crab and very seasoned.

The cream of crab soup was very good and it's perfect for the cold weather.

They do their crab very well, definitely try it out if you're the area.

This place is absolutely fantastic!! Their Cream of Crab Soup and Crab Dip are an absolute must try!! They do not skimp on their crab meat!! If you order the house salad, always get the honey lemon dressing.. it's delicious!!
Service is always great as well!! Also a great place for special occasions, and they even have a dungeon downstairs that's a little more casual.

My husband and I booked an event room upstairs for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. From the beginning , Jeff made the process super easy. The event room is cozy and intimate. The servers are very attentive and friendly. The food is phenomenal. The cocktails were awesome. All positive comments from our family and friends.

Finally visited Dutch’s Daughter after hearing about it most of my life - It lived up to the hype. Delicious cream of crab soup, possibly the best I ever had. Shrimp tacos were perfectly breaded, too. Even the bread before the meal was a hit with our family!
Have to give a shout out to our server, too. Tristan worked incredibly hard, anticipated any need we might need, kept up with drink refills, helped box up our meal.

We recently visited Dutch’s Daughter, along with a party of fifteen, to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The food and the service were outstanding, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, and our server, Monica, was really great. Thanks, Dutch’s Daughter!

Josh took good care of us and made our 50th Anniversary celebration special! We look forward to returning with our Family in Frederick MD. We enjoyed the crab salad with blue cheese dressing and chocolate cake with chocolate covered strawberries. A simple, memorable meal, an anniversary gift (certificate) from friends.

Visiting family for a birthday celebration and was introduced to Dutch's Daughter. Everything about this restaurant is excellent! Top notch food, service and atmosphere. I couldn't believe how huge this place was and how packed it was. Definitely a nice option for a private event. Pricy but so worth it for a special occasion!

I couldn’t wait to come home to share with everyone about my time spent at Dutch’s Daughter. We had a 70th birthday party for my wife, and everything was perfect. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing, and the presentation was beyond my expectations. I especially want to speak very highly of the staff. They were very professional, accommodating, and genuinely nice. We had so many positive complements from our guests about them. Thank you Dutch’s Daughter for making this day so special.

Took my dad out for his 84th birthday. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The best cream of crab soup I have ever had. The soup was chock full of big pieces of lump blue crab meat. The crab cake was really good too. Our waitress was really nice and took great care of us. They brought out chocolate covered strawberries for my dad's birthday. Great memories, will be back.
