Dr Fear saw Mugsy for a UTI and to check for a yeast infection in his ears. He was so kind, loved Mugsy and suggested specific tests to figure out what was going on with him and to establish a baseline for him. What a great Vet!

I used to work at Buckeyestown Animal Hospital (Winnie), and it was a fantastic experience! The doctors and technicians there are simply remarkable. If you want to work in a family-friendly workplace, this is the place to go. If you want to find a veterinarian who genuinely cares about your pet's health, this is the place to go! They'll treat your pet as if it were their own. I've never worked with such a wonderful set of people in my life. Leaving was one of the most difficult choices I had to make.
Sarah, their new practice manager, is one of the nicest things to happen in Buckeyestown. She is making fantastic improvements and listening to what the hospital needs.
Thank you guys for everything you do!

Buckeystown Vet is wonderful. We took our dog in who had eaten something and was not feeling good for several days. He hadn't eaten and was vomiting non-stop. Dr. Book examined him and explained what she was looking for and what her findings were. Unfortunately, after an x-ray, she determined he needed surgery. She moved her schedule around to take care of his surgery and stayed late into the night to watch over him as he recovered. She also took the time to send us text updates on how he was doing. We will continue to take our dog to Buckeystown, they go above and beyond for their customers. Not to mention, their pricing is very reasonable.

I love the care that Dr. Fear and all the associates give to Cosmo. They take time to listen and address all my concerns. Would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a good vet.

This is a great place. Everyone was welcoming and my fur babies would make a fuss when i to the other one. They were so kind and understanding of that. The staff made my vicious tiger into a small kitten again. All of a sudden he was letting the staff handle him. The Vet was amazing, gave me tips and let me go on on how I want the best for them. Thank you

Dr. Fear was incredibly empathetic, kind, patient, thorough and compassionate when I brought my baby goat, Neil, in after a dog attack. First, he was the first vet to call me back after several hours of searching in an emergency. The staff upon arrival was kind and definitely appreciated the urgency of my situation. The vet tech was so professional and caring. Dr. Fear took his time assessing the situation, showed extreme compassion during what was a very traumatic situation, and I believe truly cared for my baby Neil. What stuck me the most is their understanding of how much Neil meant to me. They didn’t brush him off as “just a goat.”
Ultimately, my goat had to be euthanized, and Dr. Fear exhibited such patience and gave me all the time needed to process the decision and say my goodbyes. He certainly made the process slightly easier by showing such care. I was highly impressed overall by the service. No pushy sales tactics, no pressure, just kindness. Thank you.

Brought my pet pig here for tusk trim. On the phone to set up the appointment, the receptionists were so sweet and helpful. Was very impressed with the facility - size, cleanliness, ease of parking and tons of thoughtful details. Restroom, very large waiting area with plenty of bench seating and a separate section for cats, separate entrance and exit doors, hardware at the front desk to attach a leash while you need your hands for papers or whatever else, a candle that when lit indicates someone is saying goodbye to their animal so people can be quieter and respectful… etc: so many little wonderful details. The vet tech (Hannah, I think?) was so kind and patient and clearly enjoyed her job. The vet (Dr. Cenera) was also so patient with my pig and took time to put him at ease. It was clear she had pig experience. She and her tech spent a lot of time making sure he was okay and doing other things like cleaning his ears, checking and cleaning his eye, and answering questions. The bill was extremely reasonable given the time spent and work done. I’m so happy to find a vet clinic that will work on my pig and I’d happily recommend them to anyone else looking for their pig.

Everybody here is so friendly and nice. We adopted Tiger our cat at Frederick County Animal Shelter and one of Vet that listed to have a free wellness check for your fur babies is the Buckeystown Vet Hospital, although they weren't participating anymore, they still honor the voucher and made us feel welcome. I think Tiger found his regular Veterinarian. Thank you for the wonderful service and care.

All departments are perfect. Technician staff and reception staff are amazing. They will do anything and everything to make your appointment go as smooth as possible. Nick and Courtney will ensure your surgery goes smoothly, Ashley, Brittany, Chris and Michelle will always have a smile on their face when you walk inside to be greeted. Dr. McKissick, Dr. Lexi, Dr. Doody, Dr. Emery, Dr. Conlon and Dr. Skopets are amazing. Kaitlyn is amazing too!
The only negative I can say is whoever is in charge of changing prices is wrong. Exam fees changing 3 times within 8 months is ridiculous. Don’t try calling to ask for the practice manager, if it’s not a life or death emergency you’re not getting a phone call back. I would fully trust those doctors listed to medically treat my pets at this facility.

Dr. Fear was super! Very friendly, thorough, and non-judgemental. We've had some significant family matters to attend to and grooming has not been a priority for us, unfortunately. She finally has an appointment to be groomed but Dr. Fear made me feel less bad about it and I appreciated that very much. He also noticed an issue with her nails and her nether regions and suggested tests that could help determine a cause. Thank you Dr. Fear for being so thorough with our 14-year old kitty.

We take both our English springer spaniels to Buckeystown and have been very satisfied with the care and concern they have shown for our pets. Dr Miller was their vet at the hospital. Since she retired we were concerned about who would care for them. Dr Ian made us feel reassured that our girls would continue to be in the best of hands. His calm, confident and thorough exam eased our anxiety and gave us peace of mind that our dogs would be well looked after. The girls gave him 2 paws up🐾 The next day Dr Fear followed up with a phone call about blood work results and it was all good. He got 2 paws up also!🐾 Happy to have them looking after our girls.

Benson had the plates and screws removed from his formerly broken leg (surgically repaired prior to when we adopted him) today. He’s resting comfortably and is spending the night in Buckeystown Vet Hospital. Prognosis is excellent and after a round of antibiotics and a few weeks of “light duty” he’ll be ready to resume his quest to be the best Frisbee catching Lab on the east coast.
Love this beast soooo much! 😘❤✌🏻
Shoutout to Dr. George his surgeon...

Buster, my rescue, had never stayed overnight anywhere and I was very concerned. I toured Buckeystown in advance and the staff was caring and welcoming. The kennel area was as clean as any hospital that I’ve seen and Buster had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend.
