Rock Quarry Park

I've attended a couple of events held in Rock Quarry Park, so I have only seen the field in the park and its surrounding areas.
It's a lovely park with plenty of green space - perfect for a picnic or a Frisbee game.
It's located adjacent to Duke Regional Hospital and the Army National Guard facilities.
Rock Quarry Park is also right next to the bike path, so it can be a lovely Durham biking destination.

Love this Park, always so quite here, a great place to come and mediate and reflect on decisions in your life and just go through some deep thoughts. A great place to take long walks with a friend or even have a quite picnic. This is a rare gem in Durham county. Really love this place!!!

2 big dog parks where dogs have plenty of space to exercise, run, and play. Nice K9 memorial in there also.

Saw KRS-One and other acts live at the Bimbé Cultural Arts Festival.

My dog, Lumi, loves sniffing along the trails and playing in the wooded bark park.

This park has been recently renovated with new parking spaces and a direct connection to the trail. The separate bathrooms have been removed, but the ones by the tennis courts are still around and should be open soon after their plumbing is finished. For now a handicap accessible porta-potty is there for nature's call. It will be quite nice when some of the planned finishing touches are applied.

Now, even more easily, this park connects through to the trails that leads to The County Stadium, Duke Regional, the swimming pool, and the Life & Science museum. Also this allows you to pick up the trail that follows Ellerbee Creek and eventually can be taken under 85 and further into Durham. Quite a nice gem for the neighborhoods nearby.

Always enjoy playing tennis here and usually can manage to get a court though it doesn't fill up

A lot of tennis courts that you can use for free. Usually occupied so you will need to wait in line

Small hiking loop through the forest. An outdoor gym and new bicycling infrastructure that connects to the North South Greenway.

I went early in the day, it was quiet and serene here.
