Cellar Door Restaurant

I lived in Frederick for two years and enjoyed going to Cellar Door. I recently moved out of state, so stopped in with a friend for the last time to get my favorite dish. Unfortunately, they had changed the menu a couple of months prior so I was super disappointed and thought I was out to luck.

Our waitress Tabby was amazing though! She asked the kitchen if they could make the dish for me since I was moving away and they came through in a big way. Even though they didn’t have all the ingredients, the sandwich was just as delicious as it always had been and I savored every bite. I want to thank Cellar Door and Tabby from the bottom of my heart on making my last time there memorable. I appreciate it!! ☺

I have been coming here at night for the club like atmosphere for years. Never woukd u have imagined that this place would have such great food!!! Absolutely fantastic. They have always had great service even when busy on a Saturday night. They are well staffed and know how to keep the bar flowing.. Food here is excellent and they have real ingredients.. Do not miss out on the French onion soup. I believe it is the best in Frederick!!!! Come try it and let me know what you think!!!

Eight of us for Sunday brunch. We had very good service and everyone thought their food was delicious. Rockfish and grits was really good.

The Cellar Door is an EXCELLENT choice for any party or event you may be planning! We had our son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner here and it was OUTSTANDING!! Amber went above and beyond for our party of 32!! Decorations were all on point!! Staff, drinks and food 10/10!!!

We got there when they opened on Sunday morning. Didn't matter the food was really good and drinks awesome. There is something about a nice simple Bloody Mary without all the extras. We have been here a few times and always very happy with everything.
Update 7/17- went back again today and everything is the same! Great food, drinks, and service. Really you have to stop and eat, you won't be disappointed. Wife had the rockfish and grits, I got the Bayside fries. OMG, the amount of fries and crab dip was crazy, I couldn't finish mine, it was so good and hot. I asked my wife how hers was and she looked at me then at her empty plate, was thinking wow I didn't even get a bite to try. She really liked her brunch.

We had a great time at this restaurant! There unfortunately was a big fire downtown when we went here but nonetheless they made sure we still got our food mid blackout and we’re still going ok! We loved the bartender she was so fun and nice! Will be back for sure!

This was our second visit to Cellar Door, and it's always a great menu and well-prepared food. I like going down the cellar steps into the restaurant. Always feels like a special, intimate place to be.

Attended a birthday party for 30 here last night, and it was great! The wait staff were friendly and attentive to all the guests, the setup was very nice, and the food was fantastic. Amber was especially helpful and professional. Would highly recommend the Cellar Door for your next dinner or party!

I had a private birthday party here and I worked with Amber who was fabulous. She took the stress out of planning and kept me up to date the whole time! I would 100% keep Cellar Door in mind for any future events and would recommend this restaurant and Amber to anyone!

This picture is one seafood empanada and the loaded bayside fries. Food was great. We also ordered wings and a salad not pictured which were good. We went for the Sunday evening comedy special and will be returning. If you are a Frederick native this is definitely a place you should be adding to frequently visited list.

Spent the day in Frederick along the canal. Frederick does a wonderful job with activites along the canal when ever we visit. Home Run of the day was drinks and dinner at the Cellar Door Restaurant! Stopped by after reading a review on Google, and they didn't dissapoint us. Drinks were tasty, and dinner was outstanding. My wife had the salmon and I had absolutely the BEST smash burger I've every had! Told several of our friends who visit Frederick frequently to make sure they stop at the Cellar Door if they are looking for a great meal, friendly service and an amazing atmosphere!

Everything was good but the new DJ they have on Saturday Night is the worst he really did play to much to dance to it was a lot of remixed music but the service and staff were great

Good food and great service. Crab cake sandwich was good as was the fish tacos. Cool atmosphere, a bit musty but I suppose they took on water during the several heavy down pours we have had this year. Will return and recommend to all.

Great Comedy Sunday night Headliner Comedian Maria Sanchez was hilarious! The Lion's Mane pasta was off the chain. They coated the mushrooms with a garlic parmesan lemony sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked with little to no drippy sauce. The poignant fresh herbs coated each noodle with flavor. This place is 61 miles from my house I will drive every day to eat this meal. Kiss the Chef!

Came on comedy open mic night, for the first time and it was awesome 👌. Great staff, beautiful inside, a very cozy friendly atmosphere. I will be back again!!!

Food and Funny

The Sunday Comedy Show at The Cellar Door always delivers. It’s national and local acts for a very balanced show weekly. $10 gets you a night of laughs and libations. Libations extra of course.

The food here is fantastic as well. Always over delivers.

Really cool spot in downtown Frederick. Nice drink selection, but not many beers on tap. The staff provided quality, timely service. We very much enjoyed the stop there for pre-dinner drinks, and would definitely go back. Not a bad place to catch a football game.
