A wonderful landmark, lovingly restored. My kids like visiting very much.

I was visiting this city/town in Feb 2024 to see family and towards the end of the visit, my wife wanted to experience some of the historical parts of this city. We searched online for a train museum and this one popped up, along with a few other places (the Train Depot result was an actual store so it confused me). Some of the other results were located in different parts of the country to include the B&O Railroad Museum located in the heart of Baltimore. There's even a Mt Airy Train Station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which obviously, I didn't go there.

When we arrived, I was a bit underwhelmed with this "museum." I thought the area would be a lot more robust but considering the size of the city/town, I figured this was adequate. As I mentioned above, there's a Train Depot store located across the street from this site, which I thought was a part of this "Caboose Visitor Center." Although I didn't get to experience the store, I'm sure it's a great place to visit if you're interested in locomotive products/memorabilia.

Overall, we liked visiting this part of the city/town. If you're new to this area and stumble across this Caboose Visitor Center online, just understand that this isn't a sizable museum - I just want to help manage expectations for everyone, since I clearly made a bad presumption on my end. Still worth visiting this Center, to include all the other stores along the same street.
