Ninth Street Dental

6 months ago I was a new patient. It was a thorough consultation and cleaning and I felt they did a really great job. I went back today and again felt like I had a really thorough cleaning and that there was space for any concerns I had. They focus on prevention rather than waiting until it’s bad. For example, I have an old filling from a previous place that has space for bacteria to get in. Rather than wait for a cavity to grow they want to get me in to fix it. I am really relieved to finally find a dentist that takes the time to discuss my health with me.

Both were super nice, super professional, but most of all had a great energy about them as they did their work.

Not only that, but they were able to fit me in quick. Every step of the process of me getting there was awesome, and I’m really glad that I chose this spot as my new dental office!

Great personnel. I was in at 7, no wait, and out by 8. They did a good job, and I felt like I could trust them to put my dental health first.

Absolutely LOVE this practice! Every employee is excellent, and we love their commitment to patient care and safety. Dr. M is exceptional. Patient care and comfort are paramount. She is extremely thorough in her exams and recommendations. We could not be more pleased with this entire practice!

What an outstanding, professional, warm, caring dental practice and team! The front desk staff were helpful, proactive, kind, and warm and my hygienist was superb and efficient! Usually I hate going to the dentist but ninth street dental showed me that it isn’t so bad at all. They were also super helpful with insurance matters. Highly recommend!

Dr. Mashhoon and her staff are kind, gentle, and thorough. They take time to explain what's going on and answer questions, but are efficient with their time. We've never felt pressure to have procedures done, and she often recommends a wait and see approach for non-emergent issues. The COVID procedures are great and we are very happy with our experiences here!

This is the best dentist I've ever had. The team is very kind and communicative at each step. When I first came in, my exam revealed some issues that needed to be addressed. The doctor and her team were very understanding as I first had to get my finances in order. They even offered suggestions (without judgement) for how to improve my dental care at home that, in my case, ultimately helped me to avoid one of the more expensive procedures. Now my teeth and gums are healthy and feel amazing. I'd recommend this dental clinic to anyone.

I love my dentist and her crew!! Best dentist a person could ask for. I came in with no appointment and needed help desperately and that is what they did, helped me. Thanks Dr. Shirin so much for helping me feel better and just making sure I was set and taken care of before leaving.

Had my semi-annual cleaning and checkup today and it went as comfortable and competent as always. Dr. Mashoon is very thorough, lets you know every move. Never pushes for more business. Her staff is outstanding to the person. I look forward to going to seeing them. It's just a nice ambience with nice people.
Five stars again.

Dr. Mashhoon is the best dentist I've every had! I have had cleanings and cavities removed at her office. She's thorough, detailed oriented and meticulous. She does a good job explaining each step in the process and making you feel comfortable throughout. She and her staff was very friendly and professional. I'd recommend coming here to anybody.

I have had cleanings, x-rays, a filling, and a crown at Ninth Street Dental. Excellent dental care was provided on each visit by a caring staff and Dr Mashhoon. Every aspect of the procedure was explained - what was being done and why. I highly recommend Ninth Street Dental.

This was my first time visiting. The team is doing a great job with COVID-19 precautions. From the front desk, to the technicians, to Dr. Mashoon everyone is friendly.
Sometimes the dentist can be intimidating but my technician and Dr. Mashoon took the time to answer my questions. They were extremely thorough. I didn’t feel like just another patient but like a real person.
Their wellness plan is a great option if you don’t have dental insurance. I never thought I would say it but I’m looking forward to going back to the dentist.

Everyone in this office is so friendly, competent, and helpful! They seem up to date on technology and dental best practices. They explain clearly what they're doing and why, and they don't push extra procedures. They encourage questions and don't shame me about flossing. 😅 Their COVID safety practices are solid too; they're still taking temperatures and requiring masks even after local guidelines don't require it. I've come in for two appointments so far and plan to stick with them.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years and was afraid of having to sit through a lecture- I wish I had come here earlier! Lovely, kind people from the desk to the chair, who made the whole experience pleasant. They were incredibly kind to my two young children who were tagging along, as well. I had a very gentle yet very thorough cleaning. So grateful I found this practice.

Just finished my appointment. An absolutely wonderful staff at Ninth Street Dental. A warm welcome from David and friendly conversation throughout with Dr. Mashhoon and Valeria. Everything they did was well-explained with detail. They took their time and took great care of me. I'll be back in six months!

I moved from VA to Durham, and I struggled a long time wondering if I would ever find a Dentist I felt comfortable enough to get the proper treatment and care I deserve. I’m grateful I took a chance with Shirin Mashhoon and her staff. They are wonder!!!

I have been a patient at 9th St Dental for years and have received thorough and respectful dental care. I was extremely worried about having a regular dental appointment during the COVID pandemic, but became less so as I witnessed the precautions taken to keep their patients and staff safe. They call you into the building when they are ready to see you, avoiding waiting in the waiting room, there were extra air filtration systems in the examining rooms, there were plastic partitions added for the receptionists, the dentist and hygienists wore face masks and shields. They also got me in an out of the building, which included working with the receptionists, cleaning, X-rays and consultations within a thirty minute time span. By the end I felt it was less risky to get my teeth cleaned than it would be to run to the grocery store. Bravo 9th Street Dental!
