Loys Station Park

Beautiful and well maintained county park. Short and paved walking trail. Restrooms available. One pavilion. Beaches are available on trail. Play ground equipment available. The park is on a road with a covered bridges. One Civil War Trails marker. Highly recommended.

Very nice well maintained park. Nice little walking area. Playground has the rubber ground chips, and not the wooden chips. Bathrooms are also available in the park.

Beautiful park with great climbing options, a bathroom, a creek to play in and the fun nature scavenger hunt that my toddlers love. This park is especially lovely in the fall and is a great place to take family photos or have a picnic.

One of the best Parks I have seen in Maryland The parkwas clean and welcoming as it shoUld be. Even though it is small it still has a sense of Beauty that is often not found in some of the parks. The only bad thing I can say is its a little out of the way. However, this is partof its charm.

Small but nice park beside Loy's Station Covered Bridge. Playground, paved walking path, bridge to small island, and restrooms. Access to Owen's Creek from both sides of stream. Parking in lot on south side and beside creek on north side.

This quiet little Frederick County Park is an absolute natural gem tucked away up around Thurmont. It has a small playground with brand new, state of the art playground equipment and the rubbery "mulch" ground, a walking path that loops around, foot bridges over the creek that winds through, a close view of the bridge with a history land marker explaining the history, places where you can easily walk down into the shallow creek, picnic tables under a pavilion with lights/electricity and a grill for barbecuing, bathrooms ("indoor" port-a-pottys), benches, swings,

The park is beautiful and I loved the historic covered bridge. It is so peaceful there. It's a great place to hike, bike or to simply rest and relax.

Beautiful park. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Picnic tables, playground and clean restrooms. Nice place to visit and relax with the kids.

Beautiful serene area with a picnic table right near the water. Loys also has a playground nearby . There was no one there when I went, so I had the covered bridge area all to myself

I was just driving around and found this awesome park right by the Loys Station covered bridge. The playground looked very new and there is a nice picnic pavilion and walking trails near a creek. Definitely a nice park to go to if you want to get out of the city.

Great place to visit because of history and scenery.

We are always on the lookout for scenic covered bridges, found one in Thurmont MD.

I love this little park. It's mostly quite and peaceful (there can be a lot of traffic through the covered bridge, but it's not unbearable). The walking trail is approximately 1/4 mile around, so it takes 4 trips to make a mile. There are bathrooms, a covered pavilion, charcoal grill and a nice playground. The creek runs right past it and in the leafless season you can see the mountains. Great place to hang out in nature and renew yourself.
