Thurmont Community Park

This place is lovely. Large enough to take a jog or stroll. 1 of the playgrounds is fenced in so little ones are safe and parents are given benches to sit and watch. The kids loved the Lion head water fountain. Clean bathrooms, basketball courts, tons of pavilions. Very nice place to bring the whole family. They even have a free library box with somthing for all ages!

A nice quiet peaceful place to be.
The falls doesn't have much water in the summer. That's about normal around here.

A wonderful park with well groomed landscape and new trees planted for future generations. We enjoy picnics and reunions in the pavillons.

Great park. Kids loved playing on the fire engine they have here.

This was a featured location stop as part of Jeep Creep Convoy. Very cool playground had merry-go-round and teeter totters that one rarely gets to see in modern playgrounds anymore!

This is a very clean and huge park. It has a parking pad and next to the pad is the picnic table a barbecue and a trash can. Huge playgrounds, basketball courts, something for everyone to do

Beautiful park with walking trail, exercise equipment and squirrels to entertain you. Well updated.

A great park for walking, picnics (including nice, shady areas with tables and grills)and playgrounds. Also have a great basketball and tennis courts. Equipped with doggie bags and disposal receptacles, which is great for the 4 legged visitors. Really nice walking path and exercise stations lining the path. Several parking areas, and a couple pavilions and restrooms. All in all, a great park for all ages!

Beautiful park nestled in the heart of Thurmont. If you can, come support the farmer's market on Saturday mornings. During the Summer months, the small market offers good selection from the local area farmers.

I specifically went for colorfest drove about an hour to get there but I knew that there was a park there and that gave me Comfort we walked the festival and ended up at the park which was lovely for the children they enjoyed it and there's lots for them to do there

We stopped by the park on our way home to South Mountain. Needed to walk our dog and just wanted to see what they have to offer. Nice paved walking paths, sweet little creek running through, picnic areas and exercise stations throughout. They thankfully offer doggie poop disposal bags. Nice little park that we will return to. Check it out! 😊

Very nice place few people great for one on one family time

Beautiful day to spend with family and friends at the craft show. The park and vendors were more than I had expected. See you next year!

Color Fest was going on today. Lots of food, games, vendors, animals. Families everywhere enjoying the wonderful weather and awesome event.

Every year it is my sister and my tradition to attend the Thurmond Colorfest. We always have a great time. It takes place at the Thurmont park which is a gorgeous park in the fall when the leaves change color. Well worth the trip. Kids play grounds and pet friendly.

Lovely park, always nice and clean. Me and my dad like to come feed the squirrels and bluejays. Some of the squirrels will walk right up to you if they see you with a bag of peanuts.

Very nice people, even though they were a little busy, one young lady came from behind the counter to assist and offer suggestions, which I appreciate.

Full disclosure: only visited the park during Colorfest weekends. However, the park is very big with alot of amenities. There is convenient parking and is handicap accessible. The location is within the town so you can quickly walk or drive to shops and businesses near the area.

My sister and I attended Colorfest in Thurmont. The main streets are closed to traffic, and their are vendors galore!
The Thurmont officials were at every street corner, keeping drivers and pedestrians safe. And they all had a smile. Even though it was a damp day, it did not deter all the visitors to this annual event. I enjoyed a pit turkey sandwich that was so thick with meat I only ate half. One of our favorite finds each year are the homemade apple dumplings made by the local church ladies. Mmmm good! Everyone was having fun, lots of friendly furkids, and some old favorites...grape Nehi softdrinks, kettle corn on every corner, local artistry, and kids in strollers and wagons. We will definitely return again next year!
