Beautiful & Vast Selection! Family owed.Everyone is made to feel like VIPS. I can't wait for their XMas trees to come out ! Also their employees brag about how great the family by is to work for! Just look at all the great Halloween Decorations! I just can't wait for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Offerings! ( in addition to to the great Christmas Tree lot I mentioned earlier .Also the employees are always so very nice .Always glad to see you .Even if it's your first or fifty first visit.

Bought my first house plant here. They took time to educate me on sunlight and soil types and what are good "starter" plants. Since then I've been back almost every week! Love the service and always a healthy selection of plant life.

Such wonderful selection. Staff was very helpful and willing to assist in love adding the plants. Wonderful place for gardeners and landscapers in South St. Louis.

I will never buy a plant, pot, or rock from a box store again. I always thought I just didn't have a knack for growing things, but it turns out there is a tremendous difference in the quality of the plants, flowers, even succulents you receive at a nursery like this and the way they are nurtured before you purchase. And shockingly their prices are better than the other big stores. My yard looks better than it ever has.

A gem of a garden/plant store packed full of goodies. One of the employees was extremely helpful and patient as he helped me find some cat-friendly non-toxic plants for my home. They have a decent selection of seeds and bulbs, too! Definitely worth a visit, if anything, just for the atmosphere.

We've been coming here for years to buy plants and flowers for our home. Its early September and Mums and other fall flowers are on display. Nice place to walk through and to bring home some fall colors in your life.

So many beautiful plant babies and the only shop I've seen carrying monstera adansonii (& it's a reasonable price!)

I just moved to north Hampton 2 months ago. I walked to Bayers with my family and we had a great time looking at all of their lovely house and outside plants. Just yesterday I wanted to add to my plant collection and knew I'd feel comfortable and proud to purchase from a local place neat me. Turns out they close :/ a lot of sadness.

Healthy plants at a fantastic price. I will certainly be back in the future. The man who rung me up was also super amiable.
Edit: 7 mo later, my plants are still very healthy! I highly recommend for both pricing and for general knowledge when I asked questions concerning my plants, even ones that I did not buy from here.

I was at Bayer's with a friend, just for fun, because I no longer have a garden. It was a precious experience that brought back lots of happy memories. When my friend told me Bayer's was closing at the end of the month, I felt crushed ...couldn't imagine St. Louis without Bayer's...such a loss. It was crowded, and some of the people I greeted were sad, too. Such a wonderful, simple-yet-extraordinary resource for those of us who enjoy the beauty of a garden and of house plants. And everything they sold was of the highest quality, so we could trust that it would thrive and shower us with beauty. I am so grateful to have had this last opportunity to bask in such divine goodness, and I wish every blessing to those who made it possible for so long.

I had a great experience at Bayer's. The young lady that helped me. I am sorry I did not get her name. I came in to get a bag of mulch to add to a bed where we just planted a pygmy butterfly bush. She brought 1 bag but it was pretty gross (her words) she was wiping it down. I said "I don't know about that one". She said "I'll move a few things around and get a better one". I yelled bring me 2. I will run in to pay for the second one while you're doing that. She was great she brought me 2 really nice clean bags. Great service. Thanks Bayer's. Going the extra mile.

Great garden shop. Has about everything you can think of. They are very good about helping you and answering questions. They take thier time with you as well. Certain plants are guaranteed for 90 days. If the plant dies bring the dead plant back and the receipt and they will place it for you. I have used Bayer's for years and have been very happy with their help and quality of the plants.

I love this store. Don't let the small location fool you - they have absolutely everything! On my last visit I picked up a nice range of vegetable and herb seedlings, clover seed for the lawn, and chicken feed. The staff was knowledgeable, quick to help, and even assisted with getting everything to my car. Visitors have to park on the side street (no parking lot) so that last bit was particularly helpful.

I had a great experience looking for indoor plants here. I took home two new little plant babies, thank you! One of the plants I saw was also at Home Depot, however HD had it for $2 more and with gnats swarming it. The plants here were happy and bug free :)

They were extremely helpful in solving the problem of my garden where my tomato plants die from the bottom up. They gave
me a soil test kit and discovered what I needed to put in the garden. They are extremely gracious and kind. I always have a great experience there

Great shop! Came here in February and they had a wide assortment of indoor plants of all sizes. Bought a huge beautiful Monstera. Really great prices and friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Bedding plants 10 times better than big stores. Not exaggerating! Worth the extra dough in terms of size and health. All together great nursery. I'm 3rd generation, tried the others and am done. Their knowledge and selection are worth the price of admission, their quality leaves the big stores in the dirt. (See what I did there?)

Love Bayer's. They continue to restock with healthy, fresh starts. Good selection and reasonable prices. Very happy today to find a few herbs, including various basil varieties and mojito mint for my summer cocktail. Friendly, helpful staff is icing on a green cake!

I LOVE this place! It's cheap, local, and they have a wide variety of beautiful plants. Plus a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Never buy plants from home depot/lowes/walmart when you could go to Bayer's!
