Went here for St. Patrick's day had a great time, and the food was delicious

Delicious food and good price. Our waitress was Antonia and she was amazing.

Stopped in last week for the first time to grab lunch. Sergio at the bar is obviously proud of the restaurant and the food. I quickly gave up on what I came in for and was blown away by his recommendation! The flavors are fresh and the beef was well seasoned and fall apart tender. Prices were very reasonable, unless you forget to feed the meter out front. Ahem.

We had a late lunch here before a play at MET. We each had a Mexican dish that was perfectly prepared and presented. For a white table cloth restaurant with a cozy atmosphere the offerings were generous and very reasonably priced. The dining rooms are broken into smaller sections with gas fireplaces, a welcome addition of a chilly day.I also ordered the red wine sangria. Delicious . Highly recommended.

My wife and I went here for dinner tonight. If you're thinking about eating here just step inside and sniff. You'll be immediately greeted with the smell of steak, shrimp, and lime..... it's divine. My only complaint is that or steak and ground beef entries were slightly overcooked, but the flavors were amazing. The sides were fresh, and the chips and house made salsa were tasty. The staff, though busy, were friendly and helpful. The drinks were well made and my double came with the extra shot on the side (a nice touch). If you're in Frederick and craving Mexican or Spanish food give thus place a shot!

We had a great time and enjoyed our experience throughout. Some dishes, like the Lomo Saltado were exquisite. The ceviche and the mussels were also excellent dishes. The guacamole was well seasoned and refreshing. Unfortunately, the paellas were just about average. The rice was overcooked, borderline mushy. The flavor could have been a little bit more pronounced as well. Drink wise, we really enjoyed the selection the restaurant had to offer. I found the margaritas to be one of the better ones served out there.

The Owner is always there to make sure you happy. He let us add some Scallops to a dish and the food was great. The service is friendly and efficient. We will keep coming back!

We met the owner, José, who was kind and personable. Our server was amazing and set the tone for our visit. We had the Millionaire margaritas and the Gold Margaritas. They were delicious. The asparagus soup was unique and flavorful. My wife had the tortilla soup... she loved it. We shared the combination Salgado, which was an intricate dish full of flavors. The seafood and meat were cooked to perfection. The sauce was light and added another layer of flavors. Overall, this place has a lot to offer, from the atmosphere to the service, the drinks and the food. Amazing. You have to give it a shot!

The salsa is homemade and delish! The staff was phenomenal and I suggest Monday early evening if you actually want to have time to enjoy the full ambiance. The food is spectacular and they apologize for the wait which wasn't even longer than necessary to cook my food fresh.💚🤸🏾‍♀🎉 Great place! Ask for David he is tops!

I don’t know who the chef is but whoever is working in the kitchen today 11/08/2023 is amazing and talented. I ordered carne criolla and my wife the enchiladas, extremely delicious!! I will be back good thing we picked this place while walking in downtown Frederick.

Ladies weekend getaway brought us to this fantastic Mexican/Spanish restaurant. The food was delicious. I lived in Spain for two years and my sister-in-law who was with me is from Spain herself. We know our paella and Cacique did a great job with their seafood paella. I could actually taste the saffron, and it was not greasy or dry at all. We tried the tamales, platanos, calamari, guacamole and Margaritas. A+ Also the staff and our waiter were very attentive, fun and professional. We celebrated my sister-in-laws Birthday and the staff sang and danced with a yummy tres leches. Gracias. We will be back!

The food was excellent. The waiter was excellent. They have a great selection of both Spanish and Mexican cuisine. I had a trio of scallops, shrimp and filled mignon tenderloins with vegetables and rice. The complimentary chips and salsa was also excellent. I highly recommend.

I accompanied my sister for dinner, but strictly ordered from the dessert menu. My daughter and I shared the sopapillas and fried ice cream. Both dishes were delicious and some of the best I have ever had from a Spanish restaurant. My sister ordered the shrimp fajitas and although I didn't try any she swore that they were to die for! Great service and the food came out quickly. I definitely recommend checking this place out!!!

Surprisingly excellent resturant. Spanish/Latin American fusion. Portions were generous and seasoning was excellent. Beautiful presentations, nice decor; But no "stuffy" atmosphere. My family and I were impressed. We have all traveled extensively in Latin America and to Spain. This was excellent food in a relaxed environment conducive to conversation.

Came to Cacique for a Friday night date night. Got to sit outside on the patio, which had prime people watching. We made it in time for happy hour and the drinks were STRONG. My wife wouldn't stop bragging about how good her steak quesodilla was. My Chile rellenos was excellent. We had amazing service from the minute we sat down. The food is definitely AUTHENTIC! We take our food seriously and we definitely recommend :)

There are a lot of Mexican places in Frederick, and, over the years, this has been the one that I go to when I want to feel a little more like Mexican fine dining. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and the location is perfect. We've had everything - queso, fajitas. chile relleno, roasted chicken, Paella Velanciana, margaritas, Sangria, fried ice cream, chocolate mousse, and the churro bowl, just to name a few things of the top of my head, and they've all been delicious.

Always great food quality and smiling faces - one of my favorites is cacique salad with fajita steak on top. Tons of tomato, cucumber, and avocado and the protein portion is always generous.

My boyfriend took me here for my 23rd birthday, and the experience was amazing! I don't remember our waiter's name, but he and everyone else were so nice. I ordered the seafood saltado, which was amazing, and the queso dip as an app, and it was heavenly. Margaritas were strong (at least ours were that day). The host sneakily asked my bf if it was my birthday, and the waiters came out and sang happy birthday to me (I've never had that done to me before). 10/10 great place to go!

The food and sangria were delicious. Our waiter was great, friendly, and professional. Very quaint with real tablecloths, perfect mix of both European and Mexican atmospheres. Mediterranean Salmon pictured.

Delicious! I got the paella de marisco, and it was incredible! It was so much food! It was way too much food for just me. It could’ve been split between 2, or even 3 after all the delicious guacamole I ate. But it made for amazing leftovers! Almost better the next day!
