Great service with a wonderful italian atmosphere. Pastas and lasagna are fantastic, very good appetizers. Only item that needs improvement is the pizza which tends to have an undercooked crust, appears that they aren't using a wood fire oven.

Always delicious Italian cuisine here! Lasagna is the bomb. Caesar salad is fresh. Meatball slider, awesome! Cream of crab 🦀, so good!

My mom hosted my bridal shower in the back porch at Cucina Massi last weekend and it was truly amazing. Leanne was so great to work with throughout the planning process. All of our guests absolutely loved the food. It was also nice having the back porch (enclosed and heated) to ourselves since we had our own bar and space to spread out. Highly recommend to anyone with upcoming events!

I can’t say enough positive things about the staff and management at Cucina Massi! I recently hosted my bridal shower there for about 30 guest. Lianne, the manager, was extremely attentive and helpful. Made sure we had everything we needed. Very responsive from the time we booked until the end of the shower! Irvin was bartending for us. He not only made sure everyone had a drink, but also made sure to walk around to make sure I always had what I needed and my family members did as well! I think he made about 30 espresso martinis in an hour! Oh, and the food is DELICIOUS as always! They even made sure my vegan guest was taken care of! Our out of town guest loved everything! We had such a positive experience that we decided to host our rehearsal dinner there in July! Huge THANK YOU to everyone at Cucina!!

We decided to give Cucina Massi a try for our anniversary. We went last Thursday and opted for an early dinner. We were the first to arrive at 4:00 so we were able to get a pleasant table outside. Although we were the first it did not take long for other guests to arrive. All of the staff were very nice. We were not rushed to order and meal timing was perfect. We have never had grilled calamari so we decided to give that a try. It is a great alternative to fried and had good flavor from the grill and the texture was perfect. The mussels come in red or white sauce. We both enjoyed our main dish. They were well portioned. I tried my husbands shrimp and his dish definitely had some spice to it. We agreed we will go back to try more of the menu.

We ordered for appetizers the baby lamb chops, the Massi Pasta with veil and the lasagna. Everything had great flavor. The lamb was medium rare for me was perfection. The Massi Pasta with veil was excellent. The veil had great flavor and cook perfectly. The lasagna sauce and beef had an amazing flavor, seasoned well. Overall great food.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely perfect! Lianne was so helpful and great to work with to plan the event. The food and drinks were delicious, and we had the entire upstairs area for the dinner. They allowed us to use the room longer for "Welcome Drinks" for out of town wedding guests once dinner was over and it was the perfect space. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

It's surprisingly large with the backyard area. But to the important part. We both had the ravioli with lump crab meat, which was delicious as well as providing lunch the next day. I highly recommend the next time you're in Frederick.

This Italian restaurant is the best in Frederick area hands down!! Being from NJ where Italian food is a big staple and having lived in Italy before, I can say this place is a must! My husband and I attended a wedding rehearsal event there last month and we also just went back again for a double date because it was that amazing!! Their staff are top notch, very knowledgable and attentive! It's such a great romantic date night spot and their food will leave you wanting more even if you're full. For starters their fried calamari was to die for (seriously the perfect crisp and favor), along with their caprese salad, arancini, beef carpaccio. If you love a good caesar salad, just wait until you try theirs!! Their Marinara sauce is on point which is a must with Italian food if you know. Their veal parmigiana literally has me wanting more just thinking about it lol. Also their saltimbocca, shrimp scampi and veal marsala. They get their veal local so its super fresh! For dessert of course we had to get their cannoli's again.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Frederick. The food was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff was helpful and kind. The dining room is cozy and welcoming. I will definitely eat here again.

Delicious Beef Carpaccio, Ahi Tuna, and Pear Salad. I also enjoyed the Veal Marsala. Thank you for a delicious and lovely evening.

So my wife and I had walked Cucina Massi multiple times and timing was never right for us to give it a try.

But this past Saturday, we decided to put our name in for a 40 minute wait and it was well worth the wait. We were seated in the front room and were waited on by Eli.

My wife had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I had a Woodford Reaerve Old Fashioned. Order a meatball appetizer shared a Caesar salad and for dinner my wife had Eggplant Parmesan and I had the Veal Parmesan.

Eli was attentive without being overbearing and found out that he made me the best Old Fashioned I have ever had (and I make a great Old Fashioned).

The food was ridiculously delicious, the food was appropriately paced and the service was outstanding.

Wow we will be back and we will always ask for Eli.

I recently dined at Cucina Massi in downtown Frederick, MD, and it was truly a 5-star experience! From start to finish, everything about this Italian restaurant was outstanding.

First and foremost, the food was exceptional. Each dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavors, and I couldn’t get enough of their pasta dishes, especially the lasagna. The quality and taste of the ingredients were top-notch, and it’s evident that the chefs here are passionate about their craft. Best tomato sauce we have ever had!

But it wasn’t just the food that impressed me; the service was equally remarkable. Our attendant, Ervin, was simply awesome. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. His recommendations were spot-on, and he truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The atmosphere at Cucina Massi is another highlight. The restaurant exudes a cozy and inviting ambiance, perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. It’s a place where you can relax and savor your meal without feeling rushed. Seat in the back if weather is good.

Cucina Massi is a gem in downtown Frederick, offering the best Italian food, impeccable service by people like Ervin, and a delightful atmosphere. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Best Italian restaurant I've been to in years. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside, but the interior is extremely homey and inviting.
The eggplant rollatini appetizer was absolutely phenomenal with incredible flavors and delicious red sauce. Not to mention the freshly baked and warm bread.
The main courses were unbelievably tasty with more than generous portion sizes. The locally sourced veal marsala was divine, and the panchetta carbonara was the richest and silkiest pasta sauce I've tasted in years.
The tiramisu was the only thing I managed to get a picture of, but was the perfect cap to a fantastic meal. The chocolate sauce and the perfectly balanced flavors of coffee and cream were singlehandedly the best tiramisu I've ever eaten.

Food and service were outstanding. Being a member of one of the preeminent restaurant families in the area, Massimo absolutely knows what he is doing both in the back and front of the house. We had to wait about an hour but it was not a problem as there is much to do in the area while waiting. We found a very cool little cocktail joint called the 10th Ward and hung out there until they called us for our table. Check out the size of the chicken parm with eggplant. It could have fed our table of 4 alone. Looking forward to our next visit!

Cucina Massi is the best italian restaraunt in downtown frederick. The food, drinks, service are always the absolute best. We go there everytime we are in the area. Highly recommend!

My cocktail was delicious - Uncle Mel. The place was cozy, warm, intimate for a birthday dinner. The mussels appetizer and the salmon entree were just right.

while visiting Frederick, i stumbled upon this place for lunch and i had a great time. the staff is absolutely wonderful. the food was great, too! ☺

The food here is incredible. We enjoyed it. Sitting inside was just a bit loud but outside was not available that night. Wait staff were great.
