Matt's Burgers

First time at Matt’s Burgers and man the chili is good! When paired with their sausage burger “The Bomb” OMG and the fries we got a half basket and the toppings were good fried onions with fried jalapeño. Wife ordered the Matt’s Special and it was great not greasy just a good American burger.

I'm a burger afficionado. So when I heard about Matt's burgers I had to try them.
The restaurant is small and cozy. A nice atmosphere.
The staff were very friendly and courteous. The service was excellent.
I judge a burger by the cost. Long story short the jumbo cheeseburger was very good. What really stood out as fantastic is their Chilli. The best chilled I have ever eaten.
Overall we had a great time. Great service and food.

I ordered the 5oz. chili cheeseburger steak. My wife got the BLT. Neither of us were disappointed and our whole order came to just over $20.

I enjoyed how mine was kind of like a deconstructed Carolina-style chili cheeseburger (meaning that it comes with coleslaw) on Texas toast. You could rearrange your bites to get a little bit of this or that. I tried a bite of my wife's BLT as well and it was also great. Served on that same great Texas toast.

Waitress was incredibly friendly and my wife loved that they had stacks of books in the windows that you could look through and take. Fun, homey, great food for a great price. Nothing not to like.

The food here is delicious and has a lot of flavor! The fries are served hot and fresh and you can tell that all of the food is homemade. Serving sizes are plentiful and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. I will definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends!! If you're a visitor and new to Summerville this is a must place to visit!!

This is such a great little spot. It's not very roomy, so it's not very good for big groups. They only have two tables that can fit five people, so plan accordingly. But the food is amazing. Everything is heavily seasoned, and cooked perfectly. We had quite a few different things from the menu and they were all great. Definitely check out the Spanish okra!

Hands down, the BEST burgers & chili anywhere! Their hot dogs are also great! The cheese fries, Frito pie, & hamburger steak are incredible! Servers are all very friendly & polite: Jen & Delaney are our favorites -- very attentive. And Jen makes terrific good ol' Southern Sweet Tea! Yummy! We've been coming here for many years and will continue to do so.

This was my first time here. I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie burger. The fried okra was some of the best I have eaten. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. It's a small place inside but it makes you feel more welcome.

Small home town feel burger spot. It was our first time here and service was very friendly. I thought it was cool how some of the servers greeted customers because they knew them personally.
I got the sausage burger and it was so good! Loved the sweet potato tots we will definitely be back

I classify Matt's as a hole in the wall that needs us to fill it, and by us I mean customers. I walked in the door as a first time customer and felt a nostalgia from my childhood in the 1980's. The aroma of the food, the 4 or 5 small tables, the decor, everything in their screams home. It felt like the small mom and pop shops my mother would take me to when I was a child. The food was excellent, (and they have a food challenge for you overachievers), the regular size portions were outstanding, and the waitresses were not only friendly to the customers, but the banter heard from behind the counter spoke of a familial relationship. 10 Stars would be given if allowed, I will be back again and again.

Matt’s Burgers is a small building but has great seating. This service was awesome and workers were amazing. I would recommend to get the cheese fries and burgers because they are really good and all the food is a great prices. You should come visit if you are down in Summerville.

Cosy little Burger place. Staff are super friendly, prompt and efficient in service. Love the young lady who pays so much attention to everyone's needs. The burgers, sandwich, pasta are delish. Highly recommend the chilli burger, mushroom melts, sweet potatoes tots, chocolate milkshake and pink lemonade. These are our favourite. If you like free flow, get the sweet tea. They are good too.

The burgers can't be beat. I took my family +1 (5 people) to Five Guys Burgers and spent $100, and we left hungry. I wish I had known/thought about Matt's Burgers. For the sit-down experience, size and taste of the burger, and atmosphere, the cost of the food is spot on. You pay for what you get. I am a big guy, and I could not finish my burger. I am going back this week with the family.

Run, do not walk to this hometown favorite! Matt's Burgers never disappoints, but today was just over the top amazing! You won't find better servers- shout out some of my personal favorites Kelsea F. and Kaylee. :-) The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is family friendly. When walking in, you truly feel like you're walking into your friends house! Today we came in for dinner with 4 pups in tow and sat outside on their patio. Not only did we have our waitress but Kelsea and a young man came out to help bring food and love on our pups- and from the moment we arrived, until we left, we could not stop talking about the incredible service. I highly recommend this restaurant AND if at all possible, try your best to get Kelsea as your waitress, she will more than take care of you. But who am I kidding? Anybody there will! 😊

Was visiting the area and was looking for a place to stop in for a burger. It has a small dining area but the burger was fantastic.

I ordered the chili cheeseburger and it didn't disappoint. Never had one before where they pour the chili over the bun and all but I loved it.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It's worth trying out and would return again.

This is definitely one of those tiny gems that I have passed by several times and never thought to try. We got food to-go, but there are a few tables inside. They aren’t fast-food burgers, so they don’t have fast-food prices. But, they are worth it!

Locals love it for a reason. You can not get this anywhere else. And if you can we don't care. The chili will have you wondering where it has been your whole life. The service is top notch. Best burger joint in SC.

We have lived in this area for a few years now and was our first time visiting this small business. It is a great place to go to get a hometown feel with delicious food. Their burgers and fries were freshly made and tasted wonderful. Why did it take so long to go here...We will be back real soon!
