Gurley's Medical Supply

I utilized Gurley's to facilitate donation of an electric hospital bed to a patient in need. They disassembled the bed in the donor's home, transported it across town, and reassembled it at the recipient's home, all for reasonable fee. All parties were well pleased with the service.

Super helpful! The team stayed over few minutes late so I could pick up my nebulizer after work since I couldn’t get there until a couple minutes before closing. The associate I worked with was friendly and helpful. I needed it tonight and I really appreciate them making that happen!

I needed a wheelchair for two days so my husband could attend Duke graduation ceremonies. I called at the last minute and they had a wheelchair but, when we got to the store, it was too small. Nevertheless the young lady at Gurley's made arrangements for a larger chair and went all out to make this work for us. Everyone there could not have been nicer. Gurley’s has been my go to store for years. A lot of medical supply stores are closed over the weekend but not Gurley’s. Their Sat hours have saved me several times when I needed supplies for my mom. A few months ago, I found myself needing a knee scooter. I didn’t want to buy one because I didn’t need it for long but wasn’t sure if anyone rented them. I called Gurley’s and spoke to Candace and viola they rented knee scooters. When I arrived at the store Candace met me with the scooter and showed me everything I needed to know. From adjusting the height of the seat and handle bars to breaking it down so it would fit in my car. She was so professional and her attention to detail was impeccable.
Another reason I really like Gurley’s is they are a family owned business. I’d much give my business to a locally ran establishment then a chain who doesn’t care about their employees!
If you need anything check them out, there isn’t much they don’t carry!

I was at Gurley's today to shop for a walker. A most pleasant and helpful young lady assisted me. She was knowledgeable, adjusted the walker height for me and helped me get it to the car. I really appreciated her positive attitude! I would certainly recommend Gurley's.

We purchased a power lift chair from Gurley's for my father. We didn't know much about this product, so we went to the showroom and spoke with Cathy. She was very friendly and helpful. From the time we spent in the showroom, through the purchase and delivery, we couldn't be happier with the service and professionalism of Gurley's staff. Actually, once the chair was delivered, we noticed it had a small but definite defect, which affected the comfort. One call to Cathy at Gurley's, they quickly someone to inspect, and a new replacement chair was ordered and delivered within just a few days -- and my dad's now very happy with the chair. This is a family-run company, and they truly provide excellent service. Should we need future medical supply products, Gurley's will be the first (and likely only) place we'll call.

This is an absolutely great medical supply store. My mom was hospitalized due to open heart surgery and it was a long and uncertain process in getting her back home. And Gurley's was always ready to help. They secured a hospital bed for me and all the needed supplies, yet I had to cancel the order at the last minute as my mom was transferred to a rehab facility instead of coming home, and with full honor, kindness, and understanding they cancelled the order and refunded me fully. Then 3 weeks later I went into the store on the eve of my mom's actual return home and they had the exact items I needed to ensure my mom would be safe in the bathroom etc. They remembered that I was the guy who had cancelled the bed weeks earlier and ensured my refund was done and got me the needed supplies at the best rate in town. Their entire staff, and especially Mr Gurley, was phenomenal. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

I was shopping with my father (89 year old) for a lift chair. I was amazed at the selection they offered as well as the excellent customer service provided. We selected a Pride 0 gravity chair on Thursday and it was delivered on Friday. The price was excellent as well as the warranty.

I went back today to purchase a waterproof pad for my mom's chair and found clothes protectors (adult bibs) for less than half the price that I had been paying at another Medical Supply place here in Durham.

Their inventory is quite extensive and prices are remarkably low.....Give them a try - you will not be sorry!!!!!

We have used Gurley’s to rent wheelchairs and other medical equipment several times. Of course, when you are getting this sort of equipment you are always in difficult times. The staff has always been a ray of sunshine in such cloudy times. Their consideration and compassion are great.

Had a great experience shopping for a lift chair for my mom. Kathy was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me work through their options. They carried a quality brand at a fair price and helped me choose just the right one! Having shopped first at other area stores, it was a pleasure to shop in a clean, pleasant smelling, modern store with good natural light. Other customers were getting one on one help and the staff was fully engaged in helping optimize everyone's experience.

First off the staff is so friendly! I have been renting a wheelchair for two weeks now and let me just say they have wonderful prices. I have a health condition and it's been really hard for me to go in certain stores with my kids because they don't have wheelchairs or electric chairs. The past two weeks I been living my best life since I been renting this wheelchair and my kids been loving it too. I get to go in the stores with my kids and not just limited to Walmart and Target. Thank you so much for this!

I went to Gurley’s twice. All their staff are great. Today was my second visit to make a purchase. I was met by Henrietta who was simply amazing. She has a great smile and worked extremely patiently with my old parents.

We needed a wheelchair rental for a day, and the rate we were quoted by other businesses was needlessly exorbitant. Fortunately, we were referred to Gurley and were able to rent a wheelchair and enjoy the city of Durham! Additionally, the staff was very helpful and kind.

Good service and a knowledgable staff. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful when I explained I was looking for something to help my sister pick items off the floor as she was not allowed to bend over for a week following surgery. He explained The Picksy was made in Chapel Hill NC and proceeded to demonstrate how easily it picked items up, had a telescoping handle and stayed sticky after rinsing with water. It was cute and did not look like an elderly device. It works beautifully
