We love to come to Fort Hamby Park and campground. It is a beautiful, well-maintained campground. The staff are very friendly and helpful, as well as the park ranger. We had a little trouble with our camper and he came to check on us. We will continue to camp here as long as possible.

Lovely park. Campsites are nice. Quiet peaceful and beautiful. Sites are nice size. Sites on different levels along loop makes sires more private. Lake is nice. Little beach swim area. Playground. Disc golf. Fishing. Kayaking. Boating. Volleyball court. Will return.

This is a nice campground with a playground and restrooms. The Point is a beautiful campground on the isthmus that provides some stellar sunrises and sunsets. The fish jump early in the morning within feet of the steep shore. There is plenty of room for several tents and there are several picnic tables.

Quiet campground, but some sites are steep. Make sure you check the specs of campsites before booking. Our site was perfect.

We stayed at the campground and it was very quiet and peaceful! The bath house was clean. The sites are wooded and you're not too close to your neighbors. There are a few pull thru spots. The amenities, like the swimming area and playground, are in the other section of the park, so not within walking distance.

We spent our first time there, what a great campground. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Large spacious sites that are very clean, but you'll need to pay attention pulling in as the roads are very narrow with a few tight curves.

Nice quiet campground, sites spaced out and not on top of other campers. Easy lake access, hot showers, friendly staff. Close to kayak put ins on Yadkin River.

The only negative is trails were a little brushy but honestly, this area been bombarded by bad weather after bad weather so it's understandable. Still easily navigable while wearing a 6 month old and carrying a 2 year old.

The beach was clean, big enough to accommodate everyone there and shallow enough entry that we were able to accommodate 4 kids 2 and under.

Easy access (a few minutes off of 421), plenty of parking. Of course, I went during the week so on the weekend that may be different.

Great place to spend the day or the weekend.

The disc golf course is fun but challenging. The park itself is amazing, and patrolled by very fine rangers. The swim beach is clean and friendly, and the pavilions have electric and is very cozy.

We were very please with this park and campground! The folks taking reservations and at entrance were very friendly and helpful; sites decent; bathrooms/showers clean; it’s dog-friendly; and we loved being able to have our boat with us and take it down to the ramp to fish each day. Be aware: This Park is densely wooded and there is sparse lighting throughout (makes for good camping). If you have pets, plan to walk to the restrooms, etc., be sure to carry a quality, bright flashlight or head-lamp with you! You’re going to need it. No sewer hookups, so invest in a portable tank!

Perfect for a laid-back camping trip with friends or family. I went with five friends and we had a blast. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. There was plenty of space for all of us and our things. Restrooms were easily accessible and clean. Highly recommend!

This is the 1st time that I had ever been there. We moved our church service there, the after preaching we had lunch (had a cook out) then after that we had a baptism. Everybody enjoyed it including the kids. We hope to be able to come back here to have another service and cook out and hopefully more baptisms!! This place is great, really nice, it was nice not going out of town to go yo a nice place like Fort Hamby!!

Great park but again they cater to RV’s more than tent campers.

This is the first time here, we have camped over in bandit roost, and warriors cheek. We like it here, nice hosts and everyone is very friendly. The camp spots are very good size, and they are not on top of each other

This is a great campground! Spacious sites with lots of trees all around. Some spots have a view of the lake but are farther from the bath house, which is very clean. Like almost everything in this area, it’s on the side of a hill!

Beautiful park - on the quiet end of the reservoir. Beach is easily accessible, lots of space, lots of picnic areas (places for kids to explore). Bushwacker Trail is a quiet easy hike with a easy to access waterfall at the end. Trail is well maintained. Deer all over the place. Friendly staff!
