What an Awesome Place! We chose Hollars Backstreet Grill as our Family Outing food destination today after seeing all the glowing reviews online and they DID NOT LET US DOWN! To start off as we walked in we were greeted and chatted up by a local Legend Mr Benfield of Benfield Insurance in Taylorsville and he made us feel right at home. We all ordered our lunch and I went with the Double Bacon Cheeseburger my Wife had the Grilled Chicken My Daughter had the Chopped BBQ plate and we took our seat and enjoyed our conversation with Mr Benfield. A few mins passed and our food was out... HOT FRESH & FAST ! I knew instantly when I seen this MONSTER of a Burger I had bitten off more than I could chew quiet litterally. The first bite and I got the sear of the patty... the fresh tomato.. snap of the onions and that crispy bacon smothered in cheese! Without a doubt one of the BEST BURGERS I have ever had hands down. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and very juicy and flavorful and the BBQ was just as good as the rest of the meal. We are so glad we made the right call on our choice to eat this evening and would like to thank Everyone we met and everyone working for an Amazing Lunch! (And Supper when I can finish my other half of my Burger) If you ever find yourself in Taylorsville and looking for a bite to eat and people that treat you like family... look no further than Hollars Backstreet Grill! We cant wait til we are back that way again!

After getting serious recommendations from both a co-worker and my neighbor I finally drove down to try this gem in downtown Taylorsville! It can be described as a perfect red-blooded hometown grill with dedication put into their food as well as from the staff! I had a pleasure of meeting the owner and he was a superbly genuine person. Definitely a military/police/fire/rescue friendly place.
If their food doesn't just make an impression, then their hard working staff will.

There food is so so good. The customer service is excellent the owners are very nice and down to earth. I would recommend this 10/10. Only downside is if there super busy it's hard for them to answer the phone for call in orders. But if there open and you go by they will happily take your order inside or in the drive thru. Small owned businesses are great and should be supported.

Great food cooked FRESH when you order. Big tasty homestyle burgers and hot crispy fries. Clean and simple small town atmosphere. Friendly staff who aim to please.

One piece of advice, call before you go over as their hours can be a bit inconsistent. Definitely worth the visit though!

First time eating here. The food was wonderful. I ordered a double cheeseburger without the bun and it came out beautifully. One of the best places to eat in Alexander County. I will definitely be back.

Food was great. It's not fast food though, ya gotta wait on it to cook... but worth it. So much better than a fast food burger place and priced about the same.

Eddie’s Hollar Backstreet Grill has the best hamburger around! The staff is great and Eddie is a great guy. I love getting a burger all the way. It’s so good!

The food was amazing and fresh. Burger is bought fresh daily. They even had a low-carb option! Homemade desserts too. Definitely going back.

This place definitely has the best burgers in town. They are quite large and are served fresh off the grill. I ordered a double hamburger, which was probably too much meat for me, but totally worth it. The slaw and chili on the burger taste great with it as well. The service is always kind and friendly as well. Would definitely go back again.

Great little place in Taylorsville. Classic diner style burgers/dogs/sandwiches. Get your own drinks as you please. Lots of daily specials. I can say the mudd dog was delicious, wasn't expecting to see a polish sausage with kraut on the menu. I'll be back.

Great place to eat. Not a fancy place, just a good home like place. Very friendly people working there. Like walking into your own kitchen! Highly recommend.

Absolutely an amazing experience. The burger was delicious and full of flavor. I stuck with the double as it was already 1 lb of beef but they have a triple if you're bolder than me! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is close enough to drive in!

Probably the best burger I have had in the County in a long time. Pruces are good. Meat fresh and good service.

We were in town for a dance competition and went there for lunch. Best cheeseburger I’ve eaten in years!! The service was great and everyone was so friendly. Looking forward to going back.

My family enjoys eating lunch or dinner from Hollars. We have done dine in and it was amazing. Take out orders had everything we ordered and was delicious.
