Kona Grill - San Antonio at North Star

Myrissa was friendly and gave phenomenal service! Since it was our first time to a Kona Grill, she explained everything and gave great suggestions! The food came out quickly and was super tasty! We ordered the Steak Dinner Special, Australian Waygu, and sushi along with the calamari for the table! Drinks were cold and everyone had a great time! Hopefully we can get her again if and when we come back!

Great place to enjoy the last day of Culinaria Week! Ribeye Meatballs, Prime Rib with Mashed Potatos and a Cheesecake for a $35 dinner! We had a reservation at 5 but there was a staffing shortage and we were told a 45 min wait yet the manager tonight in an elegant suit sat us right away! Marissa was our server and she did awesome! We were added into her section and she was on the floor the most to take care of us! Great dining at Kona and bravo to the staff!

Atmosphere is modern, Kona has an energetic vibe and I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Frequent the La Cantera location (10/10) but because we play sports at Olmos we started coming to this location on Wednesdays and Andrea is an absolute pleasure. Best service we’ve ever received at a Kona and trust me we go a lot. Food is perfect as always, sake bombers are perfect as always, and service has been spectacular.

First time here from California, I would have to say amazing service and great sushi and pad Thai too. Marissa was the best server was the best experience. When I’m back in San Antonio again I’ll visit north mall kona again.

Came to eat here with my family of 10 and the service by Viktoria was amazing! She memorized our orders, brought out drinks and appetizers quickly, served food in a timely manner, and ensured we were well taken care of. Not only was the service itself great, but her attitude and work ethic showed with her kindness, respectfulness, and humor! Would definitely come back again she was such a delight!

We had an amazing experience at Kona Grill, thanks largely to our server, Ramon. From the moment we walked in, we were seated promptly and with a warm welcome. Ramon truly went above and beyond in meeting our needs throughout the meal. His service wasn't just efficient; it was exceptionally thoughtful, making our dining experience truly memorable. He anticipated our needs and made sure everything was perfect. A well-deserved 5 stars for Ramon! Highly recommend asking for him when you visit.

Came here for drinks after a long shift. Always a great place for happy hour and good appetizers! Bri is always so personable, and devotes herself to great service !

Liz was phenomenal!!! She was the most attentive server we’ve had in a long time. Her energy was exactly what we needed to top off a day of shopping! And the sushi rolls and calamari were delicious!!

Came in because a friend recommended me the best experience with a server named Ramon and let me say, he did not disappoint!! Steak Night was 10/10. Ramon knew a lot about the menu and kindly took care of us. We will be returning soon, great job!!

We went for happy hour and tried the kona sliders, half bbq chicken flatbread, ribeye meatballs, crab crunch roll and the spicy shrimp tempura. We also had a strawberry and a blue curaçao margarita that were great! The service was good, the portions were good considering the happy hour prices. The shrimp tempura’s sauce was a bit too citrusy/sour for my liking, but otherwise we enjoyed everything, the flatbread being our favorite! We paid $55 (before tip) for everything. Would definitely visit again!

I loved this place! I was visiting San Antonio and decided to stop by after it was highly recommended. During my visit, Viktoria assisted me, and she was the absolute best! Every time she came to the table, we were greeted by a warm smile, and she knew how to make our day. I will highly recommend this place to my friends and will come back hoping to see Viktoria. She deserves a raise!

We were at the mall, and we wanted to have a late lunch, our choices were the food court, the Cheesecake Factory, and Kona Grill. We decided on Kona Grill because the place looked great from the outside. We decided to get the 45 minute power lunch for $19.95 per person. You have a 3 course meal with a choice of appetizer, main course, and to-go brownie (awesome taste and texture given to you in a small paper bag). We chose tomato bisque and salad for appetizers (there were two of us). For main course, we chose two different rolls. Warning: the spicy tuna roll was really spicy... it could be in a good way if you like spicy. Overall we enjoyed itm service was quick. Our server was friendly and very pleasant. We will be back.

Update: Came back for dinner A+++ for the calamari, shrimp tacos, and poke bowl.

Nice clean upscale bar and grill. Waiter was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Appetizer and dishes were excellent. Decor and environment was nice. I very much enjoyed eating here and will be back. Parking can be an issue depending on the day of the week and time of day because it is located in the mall.

Food and atmosphere was amazing but what really stood out to me was the quality of service from my server Eva. She was extremely kind and respectful and constantly checked up on our table. Definitely took our experience at the restaurant to a whole different level. I can safely say I’ll be back very soon!

I had the best experience at Kona Grill, tonight. Initially I didn't even want to go eat, I had enough after THIS day. Our server, Marisol, changed all of that. She was exceptionally attentive. Never was my glass empty, we didn't have to ask for anything. Marisol, thank you for turning my night around. I'll definitely be back and request your section. ❤

Myrissa gave our party of 5 ladies a very enjoyable experience and service. She helped us to order many appetizers and drinks during happy hour which kept us in a happy mood. She was friendly, attentive and efficient. We ended our happy hour by sharing 3 of the best desserts we have had in a long time. We look forward to our next visit.

Our time at Kana Grill was legit awesome, and it's all thanks to Kayla, our rockstar server! She was seriously the coolest – super friendly vibes right from the start. Kept the drinks flowing and hooked us up with all the deets about the menu. Her food suggestions were on point, like she totally gets our taste. Plus, she was crazy efficient, making the whole meal a blast. If you're hitting up Kana Grill, you gotta ask for Kayla to make your meal epic! 🙌🔥

Dean was super attentive, and very informing about the menu! He answered any questions we had. He made our experience so wonderful, by being super sweet and taking great care of us. Visit Kona and ask for dean! We will be back just for him! Thanks dean :)

I was so excited to reunite with an old friend and wanted it to be special . I called ahead and made reservations. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. Britney the manager was fabulous and very thorough. Marrisa our waitress was so polite and professional and made my experience most memorable with her hospitality and eagerness to please .
