A-1 Locksmith - Plano

These guys are phenomenal! I had contacted at least 5-7 places trying to get additional mailbox keys made. Also, I tried visiting various key-making machines. It was like pulling teeth for something so simple, until I called here.

I came in near the end of there work day and these guys were so nice and helpful they made me feel so much better. They let me relax inside the store as they got the keys I needed done in about a minute, and refused to charge me for the trouble I had gone through, and their payment machine was off by then.

I'll be supporting this business constantly especially for the impeccable customer service and authenticity of the workers.

We purchased a used safe from A-1, they happened to have the perfect size for what I was wanting and absolutely met the need. I dealt with Cameron and James, outstanding customer service and their delivery guys were phenomenal! Since the safe had some pre-configured setup that wasn't going to work for me, I rebuilt the interior and staged my shelves exactly how I wanted them.

I HIGHLY recommend these guys, they know what they're doing and won't let you down!

This place is great, called on a Saturday talked to liver person. They were super helpful gave me some prices for making keys for my vehicles over the phone. Decided to use them, they scheduled a time. Showed up on time as well as called before hand, technicians name was Don. He was super professional and helpful went out of his way to make sure all my issues were addressed. Now I have 2 working keys for 2 vehicles and 2 working key fobs. Could not have been happier with the experience all around!

In a nutshell: Called head quarter to make appointment when estimation is in a 'normal' price range. Same day the technician called me back to understand my request. He provided estimation ($) same day via email - was detailed to understand the costs. Agreed on the work same day and technician called me back within 48 hours. Technician was on time and performed work efficiently. He was polite the entire time. No complains hence 5 stars.

I started going to A1 Locksmith, Plano Location, about a year ago. Started off with a key fob through Triple A, which led me to this location and I will not go anywhere else! I’ve NOT had a bad experience! As a matter of fact, their customer service is consistent! Very helpful, informative, engaging and A1 service is what you get! My last visit was about a week ago, and Dane and Josh were awesome!! Far exceeded my expectations! Thank you for a great customer service experience, EVERY TIME!

The long version:
I looked around all of DFW including online sites for a new safe. My key points I was looking for:

- Inventory & Availability
- Brand Selection
- Delivery Options
- Customer Service
- Cost

Not knowing a thing about A1 prior, I stumbled on to them via a simple google search. They appeared to have several locations in DFW so I called one closest to me and started some dialog.

My sales Rep was Dane W. out of the Plano/Parker location. A brief 10 min conversation and we were video conferencing within a few minutes (without having to drive in). He quickly lined up the inventory that suited my needs and gave me a buffet of information about each to consider. The process of deciding which safe I wanted to buy took me a good 2-3 weeks. At NO time during any of this was there ever any sales pressure or hustle. Simple customer service and and a company that knows how to consult with clients.

Notice, I say consult. Dane wasn't selling me anything. He was literally serving as my personal VIP Safe Consultant and lined everything up for me so that I could make an easy decision. This type of service was not something I expected in this industry.

I made the decision to pickup my safe from the warehouse after purchasing it on the showroom floor (which took no time at all for it to be ready). The guys at the warehouse were all top notch. I spent a good 30 minutes chatting it up with them as well. I found out A1 is a family owned business. That made my day even more as I love supporting smaller companies with a customer focus. They all came out and helped me load and tie everything down. The experience was A+ end to end.

The best compliment I could give them, was that I was so impressed with the service, I didn't even bother to price shop. Whether it was a low or a high price, I'll never know...nor do I care. The VIP service start to finish was the reason I went with the company and the reason I will be back!

They are awesome no wonder they've been in business as long as they have! Jamie was able to pick the lock on my small safe in 5 minutes. I misplaced my keys and was worried I wasn't gonna be able to access my important documents. I can't say enough how much I appreciate them and the great job they did!

Very happy with my service experience - Andrew came by and was able to rekey three doors quickly and efficiently. He also called 30 minutes prior to arriving, and came promptly within the scheduled window. Prices were reasonable for the services offered. I would recommend A-1!

Just purchased an used 2019 Nissan Versa, came with only 1 key at dealer, dealer offered $350 to get the second key (I really think dealer had both keys, it is just a tactic to get more $). Anyway, I know I can get better price at local locksmith. Purchased 2 key fobs online for $20, delivered in 3 days. Taken this blank key, went to A-1 locksmith in Plano to get the key cut. Literally the key was done in 2 minutes, less than $10. Verified these two keys are working opening the door. The store manager was professional, did not push for sales. He explains the car does not need a smart chip to turn on the engine, you can get by with manually open the door, and turn on the engine. The cost of program the key (transmitter only) will be $75, then your key can operate alarm, remote lock, remote open and trunk open operations. I decided to proceed, he took the programming box to the car, 5 minutes later, it was all programmed. Very easy, very reasonable price, and professional service.

Greatest customer experience you will find. James and posse rock! James heard me say my key wouldn't even manually work and he went outside and sprayed the hole. He didn't have to. I came for a battery key fob replacement. He replaced it then treated me like I was family and took care of me. What all businesses should be.

I have carelessly locked myself out of my vehicle more than once. Josiah arrived within 15 minutes of calling. He was extremely professional and the service was fairly priced (much less than what I expected to pay). This was easily my best experience with a locksmith. Thank you so much!

Got my ignition key problem fixed. The ignition key had been on and off, not starting the engine up until various tries.

A-1 has helped me with cutting copies of keys before, and now they helped with this larger issue and rebuilt the mechanism in very professional manner.

I appreciated the way they got me an appointment time (I waited a few days for them to be freed up), then promptly got it done, calling me back when it was done! No unnecessary waiting!

They checked that the key worked, and the car purred on the first time I turned the ignition key on! Good to go!
