2 stars is being nice I’m trying to get a hold of someone I can’t get on the website to my account I’ve tried a number of times. No one seems to care about me or my health. I just want help. Can someone please help me. I’ve been in circles for months I’m done. I feel like I want to break down. I feel something simple is like pulling elephants teeth out. And even the hospital don’t care. Just help please

I made the mistake of choosing a Molina plan from the healthcare market place. The first year was ok. The only issue I had was some confusion regarding billing for an urgent care visit that was fixed fairly quickly. After I allowed the policy to auto renew however I was met with a near doubling of my premium! There was no warning that this would happen and in fact they only alerted me, by email (no letter text or call), of the change 2 days after the open enrollment period ended.

When I called to ask for help they were dismissive. I spoke to 4 of their representatives today. The first lied about what happened and told me the market place had decreased my tax credit amount and that was the cause of the increase then transferred my call to a market place representative who explained what actually happened (Molina increased the cost of their plan by 25% my tax credit amount had only decreased by $4 a month). The second representative I spoke to apologized said he couldn’t help and transferred me to another department where they answered and promptly hung up on me. The third representative I spoke to refused to transfer me to a supervisor instead offering to do a 3 way call with a market place representative. While the market place representative was explaining that they could make changes because the open enrollment period had ended the Molina representative hung up the call on her end. It was over a minute and a half before we realized she was no longer on the line. I unfortunately got that same representative on the line again when I called back and she hung up immediately. It is also worth mentioning that their phone line are super busy (probably many people calling in for the same reason) so I’m having to spend 20-30 minutes on hold for each call before I am able to speak to someone. The only options that have been offered to me are pay the increase of be without insurance until November. Do not risk taking a policy with this company!!!!!

I speak on behalf of my mother who is a Spanish speaker. My mom has had this company for about 3 months and all it has been is one failure after another. Firstly, it was the lack of communication, they told my mom her paper insurance card would come in one week, that turned into 3. Molina told my mom a provider close to her home was in-network. She went to this provider only to find that they were not in-network. My mother experienced an emergency and I needed to search up in-network hospitals. Guess what? There weren’t ANY within a 60 miles radius. I searched on their website and on their app. Nada. She just went to get her medicines from CVS, and her number ID wasn’t registering with their system, so she had to pay out-of-pocket. $80 worth. Then it turns out that her number ID was wrong, and they had to give her a new one. Iv attempted to call their number, and get more information on her insurance ID #, and was told ‘we are sorry, this individual is not insured with us’. This company works to assist low income people, but Molina ends up financially costing MORE due to their lack of organization and communication. $80 is a lot for someone who lives near the poverty line. Just from what my mother says, doctors are turning patients away who have this insurance because they do not want to deal with the hassle. My mom ran out of high blood pressure medicine because she was unable to get to a provider on time. I can’t imagine what life threatening illnesses other people might have, who require medication, and are unable to get it due to this company’s ineptitude. I feel so bad for all the people who chose this company only to be unable to navigate the system, and be unable to speak for themselves. Well, all 59 of these comments paint a picture. If you can find low-cost medical insurance that’s NOT Molina, take it. Any company would be better than this one.

Same issue, same problems with Molina. I cannot get my prescriptions because Molina does not update CVS! Spending hours on the phone with Molina is a complete waste of time. I will be submitting complaints id not resolved in 48hrs. Stay away from this insurance company and save your sanity.

Molina Insurance is beyond a joke to deal with. Their website and payment site don't communicate. I was cancelled for non payment when all payments were made and verified with customer service. They switched my plan which made me pay for all medications and appointments. My daughter was removed for no reason as well. The marketplace/exchange is paying them for nothing. Its taken over 2 months to correct as its still not correct. THE WORST healthcare coverage and should not be in business. I am seeking legal advise for putting my life in danger being insured by this joke of a company.

They don't deserve even 1 star.
I understand that Molina Healthcare Marketplace is new to San Antonio and the surrounding area. It is always good to have several healthcare insurance choices. However, Molina is a business just like any other business.
Molina should have their processes in order before taking peoples money. It is very unprofessional for a health insurance company to not have an accurate provider network. Not to mention being understaffed to handle the phone calls resulting from the inaccurate provider information. It's unfortunate that Molina is not contracted with the Baptist Health hospital system even though many of the listed in network providers are.

I have health issues and need to have a primary care physician (PCP) before I can see my specialist. The PCP that I was assigned was a nurse who works in the field of psychology. I went online twice and changed the PCP. Like everyone else the phone numbers to the PCP that I chose were wrong. Molina also re-assigned the psychology nurse to me twice. I called Molina and was on hold for an hour and a half.
What's the point of having insurance if you can't get a doctor. I decided to file a compliant with the Texas Dept. of Insurance. Hopefully, doing so will encourage Molina to get their act together.

I have read many of the reviews on this page about Molina Healthcare and I agree with almost all of them. The customer service is horrible. It's probably the worst I have ever experienced. My wife called customer service to get the PCP that was assigned changed and she was on hold for over one hour. When she finally talked to someone, the representative put her on hold again and never came back. I personally have tried to take care of business on the website and it is nearly useless. I signed up for autopay and after 1 payment, it was canceled. I had to go back and sign up for autopay again and I was charged another premium. Consequently, I have paid for 3 months of coverage and it is still February. That seems like a refund or credit is due me.
Another problem besides the horrible customer service and slow, non-functional website is the incorrect provider lists for San Antonio. This problem was mentioned in another review that I read before I wrote mine.
I plan on filing a complaint with the Texas Insurance Board.
If you're looking for insurance, think twice before you choose this company. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. There's no doubt Molina will reply to this review with the same empty rhetoric that they have used on the other negative reviews. Or maybe they won't.

Hands down the worst insurance I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. First, they are nearly impossible to get a hold of, as their call center loves to place you on hold and then hang up. This is after waiting for nearly 30 minutes just to talk to someone, then when you are finally connected the operators are either very rude and condescending, or in a call center where they barely speak English.
The purpose of getting Molina was to have my children seen, only to be assigned a PCP that does not see children even though they were a family clinic. It was then nearly impossible to find another hospital that would even accept Molina. If you have Molina, are thinking about getting Molina, or if you know someone who is considering Molina or already has signed up with them, tell them to cancel immediately.

Mistake signing up with the company. Their Dr. directory is outdated and no one accepts this insurance on the list of specialist I contacted. Even my primary Dr. recommended that I cancel immediately and not use this company. I canceled only 1 month of being with them. It showed they approved medicines only to be denied with prescribed. Terrible customer service as well. Even emailing from their response resulting in no help.

I have Molina health plan and for months have had no luck with finding a pcp. It seems no Doctor on their list accepts this plan. They don't update the physician directory. I have called almost every Doctor on the list.Customer service was calling for me they had the same out come, NO luck in finding a pcp that works with Molina health care. No response to my emails, they send me the link to the physician directory. Don't not waste your time with this plan.
I encourage everyone to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Just bought one of their plans for 2021. No doctor on their list of doctors take their insurance. Haven't sent.me an I'd card yet, it's been 6 weeks. Can't talk to anyone at Molina, on hold on phone for 1 hour and system hangs up on me. Won't be buying their plan for 2022. A worthless company

Will be doing my best to help a loved one find better insurance than this. Almost no one takes Molina and my loved one already got her medications denied at the pharmacy because they don’t work with Molina. Jesus, you guys can’t even cover basic medication. A complete and pathetic joke of an insurance company.

Took us a while but we got out of this “health insurance” and found something better. My loved ones has way better healthcare now. Please do no be on Molina. My original review still stands.

The reviews are correct. After a month of searching, I can't find a Primary Care Provider that accepts Molina Insurance. No Provider wants to deal with them. The list they provide via the Molina portal is out of date, with PCP's on the list that I have rung stating that they have asked Molina numerous times to be removed. Basically, your paying monthly premiums for an insurance that is useless. Don't waste your money!

Your customer service CSR are all rude and very unhelpful! Your company doesn't provide good benefits as well! You deserved a negative 0

I honestly wouldn’t even give this insurance a star. Absolutely so freaking frustrating, I’m trying to get my dad some diabetic shoes so I call, of course they hanged up on me so I called again. Finally after 20 minutes they give me numbers to find myself that are “apparently for diabetic shoes and accept Molina”. I call… literally all of them say “we don’t do diabetic shoes or accept Molina”. This insurance is just a waste of time. Definitely getting out and definitely recommend not getting it.

Closer to a scam than it is to a company. When you call customer services it's hard to even be able to navigate to a menu where you can talk to someone and once you get there expect to be put on hold for up to 2 hours (happened once) or to be hung up on. I was owed money for overpaying and after being told a confirmation number for the refund it has been over a month and I still haven't received it. After spamming their email for several days they finally responded saying my refund was just approved on 6/21/21 even though I got a confirmation number on 5/17/21. And how could I forget the bogus list of doctors they have on their website that are supposedly in network when they really aren't. If you like throwing away money and being frustrated and not actually being covered by any doctors, then Molina is the choice for you.

you can see with all the 1 star reviews that Molina isn’t the company you want to be with. They have rude people who talk to you horribly (Victoria Lopez). The company is for sure on the decline. It’s better to go to Superior. I’ve never had so many doctors turn down a company. You need surgery? Don’t make this your company cause you will get turned down.
