Lady Bird Johnson Park

The trails here are beautiful. One of the trails has a boardwalk that reaches to a nice uphill trail where you can watch the airplanes coming and going from the SATX airport and then continue to McAllister Park. It is about a 2 mi trail going and back but worth it. Bike, stroller, family friendly. The weather was great when we visited so it made the day even better. The main entrance to the park has an enclosed area for dogs, really nice.

We experienced some kid friendly teenagers that were encouraging when my 7 year old was trying to ride his skateboard down the big bowl. They also love the park and we check out the softball games once in a while too.

Always enjoy visiting this park. Plentiful of parking and never too busy.

Great place to hang out with the family, friends or to exercise. This place has a new playground, picnic tables, open area, community center, swimming pool, skate park, walking trails/ bicycle trails, huge parking lot, ball diamonds, soccer fields, pavilion to sit and eat or have a party and a dog park. Also this place has lots of natural areas and you will get to see different wild life on the trails. This place is relatively safe. There are always park police patrolling the park.

I went for the FIT RUN and was so much fun. It's a very beautiful park with an amazing walking/running trail, just be careful with the bikers; some are a bit rude and don't like to share the path. Perfect place to bring the kiddos.

Lonely park in the morning. I would say this park is more for BMX. This park gets easily crowded by noob skaters. Not a bad thing if you like to teach.

Easy to get to, clean, great place to walk and ride your bike. Connects to McAllister park and can walk to a Cafe area. Have playground.

This place is magical. The Salado Creek goes on for miles. This trail head is at the end of a great park. The trail has a lot of tree cover. There is this great tree that you know it has a portal to another dimension.

They've got numerous sporting fields and surfaces for baseball, football, soccer, etc. Even seen them set up an MMA event out there once. Huge basketball court and full sized pool, too. Highly recommend it!

It's a great place if you love walking,bike riding and running.there are some beautiful views and lot of red cardinal.Or if you just want to get out and clear your mind.

This is a very nice park it has trails a dog park picnic areas with grills and pavelons for group gatherings

My family enjoys the back trails here. I used to go running on the main trails, they're pretty decent, but not much shade. There are also a LOT of cyclists, so not that great if you are just leisurely strolling down the sidewalk.
When you park you car near the dog park, if you go left, before you hit the main trails, there is a dirt path that runs alongside the creek (sometimes more like a river if we've had recent storms). You won't cross it, you're on the side closest to the lot. There is a trail back there that's nice and quiet, has lots of wildlife to check out, and some pretty decent rock climbing. We scaled the sides of the "cliffs" in some easy to find footholds area. I've seen others out there with actual equipment in the more difficult areas. Obviously if you have children, watch them closely, there are some steep drop offs. This trail is for the more adventurous sort.
It leads you to a large clearing with two ponds and low lying trees that makes a good picnic spot.
There's adequate birding, but photography is difficult in that area due to the position of the trees and lighting. If you go on the right night, you may get a fairytale like show of thousands of fireflies lighting up the sky.
One of our favorite spots to spend an afternoon/ evening.

Great walking, bike riding, and running paths. Very peaceful being in nature like that.

We went to have a birthday party for my nephew this past Sunday. Wasn't crowded at all, the tables were near the playground making it easy to keep an eye on the kids. This was a really clean park which helped add to the good time had.

This place is dope. My niece and I went to the pool and I explored the place. They have a public pool, a skate park, a basket ball court, a play ground and fields for soccer and baseball. There is free parking and quite a bit of shady areas. Trash cans are around so the park is kept clean.

I go to a dance class here for free! The room is nice and the instructor is excellent.
