The staff were so helpful! The young woman at the front desk went above and beyond for us when there was an issue with the room and we were so thankful. We don't see that kind of customer care often!

I probably would have only given 4 stars, but the friendliness and helpfulness of Carol at the front desk made us overlook some things. Nothing major... Parking was rough after all the contractors got in, tub was not in great shape, and the breakfast was only good 1 out of 4 mornings. Carol is definitely management material!

Clean and updated room. The best water pressure for the shower at all the Hamptons I’ve stay in!

Best place to stay, good breakfast they have waffles(easy to make), great pool with warm water, fitness was great. 5 min away from the Mall, also next to IHOP. The service was great, the people was very nice.
I will stay there again!!

The best part of our stay was the excellent customer service at the front desk and our server Dottie was a bright spot in our chaotic morning at breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable.

Cleanest and most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in a while. There were no strange odors or dampness in the room that is all too common in most hotels. Staff was very friendly and professional. If I ever come back to San Angelo, I would 100% stay here.

It is an older building and the rooms are clean and in good conditions. I was reluctant when we walked in because the AC was not working in the entrance... it took 3 tomes to get the key to work. The air conditioning was extremely load and had to turn it off. More importantly, the breakfast experience was a grand slam.. a wonderful lady greeting and serving every guess a plate of breakfast. Not sure IF it was due to proactively prevent the risk of COVID-19 and or hiegine. Personally, it was a fantastic idea despite th3 other set backs.

Wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the woman who runs the breakfast area. The morning breakfast is fabulous! The rooms were clean, the beds were great. It is a little high priced but was well worth it. We read reviews for many other Hotels in the area and decided it was worth the extra dollars; I am glad we made the decision we did.

When we arrived we noticed our room was unbearably hot and the thermostat was set at 60. I let the guy at the front know about it and that we would be back in a few hours. He calls me and says the AC is shot and asks if we can say out a few more hours while they get it repaired.
When we came back the guy let me know that everything was fixed. I was just happen they didn’t say it was fine and ignore it. It was above and beyond to get it fixed within a few hours.

Also the breakfast is good. Your standard oatmeal, waffle, eggs, bacon or sausage and cereal. Only downside there is the dining area is small and often full.

Overall it was an excellent experience and we will definitely stay here our next time coming to San Angelo.

Michelle, at the front desk gave very good recommendations for a local place to dine. Our room was very clean and ready for us when we arrived.

The rooms were very nice along with the entire hotel as a whole. There is an ihop right across the parking lot but no need to go there because breakfast at the Hampton Inn was amazingly delicious! I've never seen or been to a hotel that catered so much to the handicap. I am not handicapped but I do love that about that hotel. They even had a pool lift! Freaking awesome!

This Hampton Inn is my go to hotel in San Angelo. Their customer service has always been exemplary. The rooms are clean, staff very friendly and accommodating. I even left a bag and the Mgr made sure she locked it up in her office until I could make it back a few days later to retrieve it. They reached out to me not vice versa.
I have stayed in more expensive places in San Angelo and had terrible customer service, unclean rooms, and I would rather stay in this hidden gem.

This could've been a 1-star review, but the staff truly went above and beyond to address the one element of our visit that we found to be truly disappointing.

Positives: Location makes it easy to get ANYWHERE in the city in a timely manner. The rooms were as-advertised. Clean and comfortable. The staff was kind, understanding, and helpful (more on that under "Negatives"). The continental breakfast was one of the best I've seen. Options included waffles, baked goods, bagels, toast, several cereal options, hot scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, dark & light & decaf coffee, teas & hot chocolate, various fresh-pressed juices, and I'm sure I'm missing some items.

Negatives: The only "cons" were circumstantial and will probably be fixed by the time other guests book their stays. (1) The side door had a broken keycard-reader, so we had to walk to the front door for every entrance/exit. (2) The pool was unavailable for the entire duration of our visit. (chlorine levels were unbalanced and unsafe). This was a particular disappoint for us because we had booked the hotel SPECIFICALLY for the indoor pool. Our five-year-old had been promised a pool at this hotel, so it initially made us unhappy with the situation. We considered unbooking at the last minute, but it would've been complicated to find new arrangements and the hotel staff told us they'd have the levels balanced for morning swimming, so we agreed to stay. Unfortunately, after receiving a late-checkout so that we could swim as soon as the levels were balanced, we had to let our 5-year-old down because they couldn't deliver on their promise to make the pool available. Fortunately, the manager (Jennifer) was incredibly understanding and offered a very generous discount to compensate for the broken promise and crushed dreams of swimming. They earned my trust and I would happily book them again in the future.

PS - Don't worry! We visited the city's municipal pool for $5/person, so we were still able to get our 5-year-old in the pool. ;)

Small clean Hampton with a great group of folk working front desk. My room took a little longer to prepare due to short staff but the front desk manager was in contact with me the whole time during the process and offered me other options if needed. Very kind and professional.

Very comfortable beds and the most friendly staff I have ever encountered in San Angelo. The in room viewing options need to be upgraded, but the comfort and service were amazing.

Another great experience at this location!
Called a few times prior to arrival and every time the person on the phone was polite and very helpful.
During the stay the team always had smiles and again very polite.
This is my second stay and when San Angelo again, will stay here.
FYI, small store 300' away and IHOP half that distance.

I'm a long term HHonors member who has traveled around the world and around the USA. With that, I just want to say thanks for a great visit! Everyone from the receptionist to the staff were outstanding, friendly, informative! You certainly have a great team at the San Angelo Hampton Inn!

Great Staff.
I lost my glasses in my room. The housekeeping staff found them, turned them in. When I called the front desk staff they were very helpful and sent back to my home express. Thank you, for your prompt and courteous help.
Brian
