I am first time kayak buyer and after many reviews I chose old town kayaks and was impressed by them and this place has quality kayaks and the staff is very knowledgeable about there products something can't find at a walmart or academy. I recommend you test the kayaks figure which one you feel more comfortable unsure try lake nasworthy in the spring creek area always calm waters.
