La Esperanza Restaurant

Great food and friendly staff. I rated 3 stars on the atmosphere due to narrow tight seating. When we walked in, most of the tables were full. They sat us down at a table, which was next to a countertop that, when seating down, the countertop was literally at head/face level. That felt somewhat uncomfortable. On my next visit, I will wait for a different table.

Very clean restaurant. I had the parrillada for 1. The meat cuts were thinner than what I normally get at other restaurants but the flavor was great. My father had the Carne Asada plate was a little too salty for my fathers liking (and he likes salt). The rice and beans were very good. As I’m typing this at the table in the restaurant I changed my rating from a 4 star to a 5 star because our waitress was very friendly, attentive and even offered a to go drink. I’m sorry that I didn’t get the fresh plate pictures but some picture is better than no picture. Temperature in the restaurant at 2:29 pm on a summer day was very comfortable. Give it a shot and enjoy!

My mom and I ate here for the first time and we were both impressed. The food was absolutely amazing.

Very nice and fast service. Food is good too. Had the cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Very tasty. Friend had the combo plate. He enjoyed it too.

Came in for lunch. Table of 5 , served pretty quick. Great food and service. Make this a permanent spot for lunch.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING…. It was so HOT and TASTY. If you haven’t been to La Esperanza #2 and you are in San Angelo you are missing out. Great speedy friendly service & delicious food. What more can you ask for.

Food was freshly made and tasty! Service was outstanding! I was too eager to eat and forgot to take a photo! Next time! With prices rising on everything almost weekly this restaurant has stayed competitive and fair especially for the variety and excellent food offerings! They make you feel at home! Specials too!

I really love this place. The food is great, the staff is awesome. I would have put 100% but this time the music was really low. The music is what gives the atmosphere in this place that kick back and enjoy feeling. It's peaceful and so relaxing. PLEASE turn it up a little. it was what topped it off for me my very first visit to Esperanza.

This place is amazing! All around from staff to food and atmosphere as well as timely service.

We eat here often and the food is always on point, along with amazing and friendly service. I usually get the beef fajita quesadillas, my daughter likes the sour cream chicken enchiladas, and my husband the Jimmy’s plate. The portions are generous and we usually have leftovers to bring home. Their burger and fries are also pretty good too! We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable place with delicious food.

One of my favorite places to eat in San Angelo. All of the Mexican food is great. But my go to for a chicken fried steak. And my friends always think I’m lying but in my opinion, best burgers in town. Jimmy and his family will always take care of you.
