Great quality food. Prices are a little up there, but you get what you pay for. I'd 100% rather go here for a burger and shake than 5 guys 💯

I've been coming here for years. The food has been consistently great over the years. The black cherry Italian ice is always requested when there's a family gathering! You can't go wrong

came in and asked if I should get a beef or a burger. the friendly gentleman suggested the beef and it did not disappoint. I've been looking for a good homemade beef that could come close to my spot in Chicago and this right is on par. a darker,white thin sliced beef with good flavor is rough to find. happy I did. thank you teddy's

Right away walking in service was 10/10 food was great, the fries were a perfect crispy crunch, Italian ice was amazing ! I would definitely recommend stopping by here & personally will be coming by more often!

Hot dog: 10/10. If you want a perfectly done hotdog, this place is the best. You can also add Sauerkraut!

Italian Beef: 10/10. Home-made + Sweet Peppers were perfected done! They were actually sweet. Proper!

Fries: 10/10. Crispy and Hot. Seems l Iike they perfectly time the fry.

Onion Ring: 10/10 omg amazing!!!

In a small trip to Chicago make sure you stop in and get a Red Hot and Green Soda! So worth it. The owners are right behind the grill at this family owned dinner and are nice as can be. The variety of hot dogs, sausages and all manner of grilled onion deliciousness can't be beat. Teddy's Red Hots put a smile on my face with every bite. Stop by and give'em a try.

My buddy grew up in Downers and he said this is the place to go for a beef. He was spot on! Great local spot with everything you could hope for. Great service too!

Food is good but pricey, when you can you can just drive 5 more miles to Portillos & get a better tasting meal for the same price & portions. I know everyone in today's world is doing SHRINK INFLATION by making the meals smaller & more expensive but that concept isn't going to work for the average American. Try running this place by yourself instead of having a couple of extra guys back there that you don't need to be more profitable so you can lower those prices my friend. You don't need to just stand or sit at the register my friendly owner. Your going to actually have to work if you want to survive another 20 years in that business.

Teddys is top tier vittles! I come up from Oklahoma and teddys is always on the list of must stops! Do yourself a favor and stop in to get the beef, easy wet with sweet peppers and cheese!!! It’s always delicious!!

Hello guy's, you know these reviews on here definitely do not lie. The items that were purchased was delish!!!! Burger could have been cooked a bit more to give it some juice. But it was still pretty good. On thee Italian ice I have got to say folk's " the Watermelon " flavor is off the hinges. It is so darn yummy!!!! Next it will definitely hafta be a Large. Be sure to $peak up. The sweet nice fella at the counter has a hard time hearing you. Unless, I was just soft spoken. Overall yummy !!!!!To the Cooks - Thank you very much. Job well done.

My family and I LOVE Teddy’s! We’ve truly been coming here since I was a little girl (over 20 years) and the food and service is always 100% consistent. Delicious, made-to-order, feel good comfort food at its best. Everything is always fresh, never greasy.
Anyone saying the prices are too high are wrong point blank. We’ve never had a bad meal here it is worth every penny! These are hardworking small business people who serve us well and deserve it all!

Also their Italian ice is incredible, the best I’ve ever had! Always fun flavors to try as well as the classic lemon.

I have been going to Teddy's Red Hots for over 35 years. Always a big hit with my family. After we took long walks everyone in the family wanted to go to Teddy's. They catered my family get togethers for many many years. And the Italian ice is fantastic. Best in the Chicago land area. Love you Teddy's.... Your good food always brought great times to family.

Teddy’s has been part of the Downers Grove community for nearly 40 years. Their prices are a bit higher than surrounding fast food restaurants but you get what you pay for. Their chicken nuggets are some of the best I have tasted and their homemade soups are delicious. You can pay over $20. for a bag of junk from your local Taco Bell but if you want quality food Teddy’s is the place to visit. I hope they stay on Main and 63rd for a long time. I appreciate their dedication to our community.

just a good hotdog with good chili. Dog could be char broiled and had a nice snap when you bite it. chili was not overbearing but complemented the dog. was all beef but I did not hold that against them. It is what they eat in Chicago. good menu. great italian ice. if you live near Teddy's and dont eat there, you ain't eatin.

The italian ice is absolutely refreshing and the customer service is great. You're met with kindness and generosity when you eat here.

The Italian ice is amazing. Perfect balance of sweet, sour, and fruity flavor. Always the best soups. Also try the double dog! Perfect for a lunch or nice cheap date night!
