Delicious. It's like eating in someone's kitchen. The food is made with care, and you can taste it. I ordered vegetarian tacos, and was given a tortilla chock full o 'veggies. You may miss this place just driving buy. Stop in.

The food is amazing 👏 full of flavor. You will definitely come back for more. I had the chilaquiles w cecina and eggs they were bomb. 💣 😋 Love the complimentary sopita (soup) and the sauce were to die for everything is full of flavor. Homemade Horchata deliiii You will not be disappointed with anything. Everything is rich in flavor and fresh. Sorry I was super hungry and could stop eating my food.

One of the absolute best burritos I have ever had! I haven't had anything else on the menu, but if you're looking to find a great tasting burrito de Asada, this is the place. A must try!

Best Tamales in town!! You must order by phone and they will have tamales ready in 2hours, but it’s so worth the wait. Definitely support small businesses they are really nice people.

TAMALES are the BEST!! I can't believe i haven't left a review yet. My daughter discovered their tamales few years ago, we quit making them, why? Because why go thru that stress when La Chilaguita exists. I've taken them to work parties, at home for holidays, special occasions, everyone loves them. Meaty savory moist just right amount of spice. Worth the price!!

As other reviewers mentioned, this really IS a hidden gem! There are many Mexican places nearby but I love this place because everything tastes homemade. I ordered the scrambled eggs w potato & salchicha (hot dogs), Gordita al pastor, chicken sope, Barbacoa taco & flan. My favorites were the Barbacoa taco on a handmade corn tortilla & the al pastor Gordita. The Gordita shell & the sope shell both seemed to be handmade as well. SO good! They gave me 2 kinds of salsa: the red one was mild & the greener one was spicy. They also carry Mexican Pepsi which I rarely see at restaurants. Service was fast & friendly for carry out orders. Definitely will return.

The spot is so cute and very Authentic Mexican , I ordered enchiladas de mole (pollo) , they were delicious, and im picky with my mole , loved it. Going back to see what other foods they have 🫶🏼

This is a small restaurant run by a family. I had a tostadas and a taco, both were very good! No ice tea, so I asked for hot tea and a large glass of ice. Nothing fancy but very clean! They start you off with a complimentary small bowl of soup, tasty.

I love this place! The food is great. There’s a few tables to dine in. They give you complimentary free soup to eat before your food arrives. They also have my favorite dish of all time which are charales. Their chicken tacos are the best chicken tacos I have ever had. I have both done take out and dine in. The quality is there for both.

The tamales here are DELICIOUS. They are moist, never dry and the green salsa inside is always so good. We ordered a dozen of green chicken and pork tamales and we were blown away. It does take some waiting time but it is 100% worth the wait.

My wife saw this place after doing her nails and wanted to try it. I was very impressed, the chilaquiles were awesome and they have really good coffee. Did I mention I love coffee? I would have never tried this whole in the wall if not recommended by my wife. This is my new breakfast place. Great price and service, clean and cozy.

Do you miss your mom's cooking? Well this is the place to go! I've never had a place where they bring you a complementary soup, fideo. The guacamole was delicious. I don't like cilantro, and this guacamole didn't taste like cilantro. I got chilaquiles and the tortillas were not soggy for once. The meat was crispy but done just right. Jicama drink was sweet. You will leave out of there feeling full.

Highly recommend this place! For starters, you get freshly hand made corn tortillas, an absolute luxury!! I tried them in barbacoa tacos….one of the best seasoned barbacoa I’ve had, and I’ve had plenty. I also tried their Gordita de requeson, Mexican farmers/ricotta cheese, with Mexican herb epazote, another rare find on Mexican menus….also delicious! Their guacamole was just the way I like it, not to overly spicy or seasoned, and allowed the fresh natural flavors to come through. Lastly and foremost, family-owned attentive service, and very reasonable prices. I am sure customers appreciate the complimentary Fidel soup, which reminds me of my mother’s. Please try, you shall not be disappointed :)

This place is phenomenal!!!!! Best burrito in all Chicagoland. Soup is great and prices are very reasonable too. You definitely get your money's worth. If you leave hungry, it's your fault.

Fantastic Tamales, rice and chips with salsa. We will definitely return. We ordered four dozen tamales, a large pan of rice with refried beans, chips and salsa, and a green Chile sauce. Leftovers are great the next day.

I am astounded at some of the reviews posted here. This place was fantastic!. Food was delicious and made to order, hence why it takes some time. Also, the service was AWESOME! Super friendly and more than helpful when i had questions. Its a great little family owned place!

This is my second time enjoying La Chilanguita's food. First time, I dined in (pre-pandemic) and the service was on point. My boyfriend and I even chatted later in the evening about how nice our server was. So I was surprised to see some negative comments about the service. My second time (today) was ordering delivery and I was most definitely pleased. I ordered a veggie burrito and chips and guac. The food speaks for itself. Fresh, well seasoned, authentic. I don't order Mexican food often, because I am picky about it...but this place is getting 4 stars from me for quality, consistency and for being so friendly.
