I had to have a full lobster dinner while visiting Maine and decided this was the place after an afternoon of watching the hurricane waves come in a Two Lights State Park nearby. A perfect way to end our afternoon. Parking here was definitely a challenge, but once parked we sat at a picnic table Oceanside waiting for our food, which we decided to eat indoors to get out of the winds created by the storm. The atmosphere was great, the people friendly and the lobster was phenomenal. I highly recommend this Maine experience.

Absolutely iconic setting! Right on the cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There is a menu board outside for ultra busy times to allow you time to decide what you want while standing on line. This speeds up the ordering process exponentially.
My meal was excellent! Fresh clams used for the fried clams with a light batter coating. They were perfect. The fryer is clearly cleaned because all I could taste were the lovely clams. The fries were crispy outside & tender inside. The coleslaw, while not my favorite, was decent & not vinegary.. I highly recommend The Shack!
And you can absolutely climb on the rocks & soak in the view

Great food, especially the lobster!! We got a steamed lobster with melted butter, and sampler platter of fried scallops, clams, shrimp and haddock. This came with a generous portion of awesome coleslaw and heaping serving of fries! Everything was delicious. The view of the ocean and crashing waves made this eating experience absolutely perfect. There is inside and outside seating! You have to order your food at the counter when you come in, and go grab it when your number is called, so its self serve. Nothing fancy. It's a very informal, little beachfront place, which I loved! Make sure you grab plenty of napkins and wet wipes (especially if you are eating a whole steamed lobster) I highly recommend this place! Make sure to check opening and closing dates because this little gem is seasonal!

Good quality food and good serving sizes, slightly inconvenient to wait in line if you just want a cup of coffee or so after your lobster roll and chowder, so we opted out on dessert. The service is generally speedy though. Lobster tasted fresh, fries were crisp, for a foreigner like me I did not know what to do with the biscuits & chowder 😅 lucky I had ex-Mainian with me.

Great little experience. We found this place off a YouTube recommendation. We weren't disappointed!! It's tucked away but gps was able to get us there no problem.

There was a small line and we had to wait about 6-8 minutes to order, not too bad. We ate on a Tuesday night around 6:30 so the crowd was slowing down.

There was a lot to choose from! The food was good. Staff helped us find a table. We only had to wait about 3 minutes.
Had excellent views overlooking the ocean.

Ordered a lobster roll to share, and chicken basket. Baskets come with slaw and fries. Everything was excellent. My favorite was the crumb blueberry pie!!

Spectacular, a spot like no other! Plenty of outdoor seating perfect for a sunny day, the indoor seating also has a great rustic and nautical feel with fun decorations. We tried their lobster roll, haddock boat, and whoopie pie and everything was fantastic! Loads of free parking available, but expect a bit of a wait because the spot gets quite popular.

Lovely location! Lobster roll was great, it the spot! $22 was market price for the lobster roll and some fries and coleslaw. I appreciated that it was light on mayo, with a small dollop on top to either mix in or scrape off depending on your preference.

Beautiful spot to enjoy the freshest Lobster in Maine!

The place is always busy in season but the wait time is actually short. Definitely worth the detour!

I love how old this place is. It’s pretty touristy, but worth the visit so go early in the morning before the restaurant open. You’ll enjoy the atmosphere around and the breeze from the ocean. You’ll enjoy in more during summer. The foods are really good. Get the lobsters!

Food is very good. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Great atmosphere. Eat alongside the ocean. Arrive early before opening to avoid being in a long long. Goes pretty quick. Go through line to order, then wait for number to be called. Plenty of seating . Inside / outside.

Fresh seafood at great prices. Friendly service. Right on the ocean. Lots of picnic tables. Large servings, we had 2 plates & "appetizer" for same price as 99 restaurant with a tip. Will definitely be going back.

Lobster rolls and blueberry pie were blissful and so satisfying. Customers service was top notch. Went towards the end of the season in the middle of the week, so I did not encounter a long wait at all.

it was amazing!!! we had boiled lobsters and they were wonderful period!!! it was so chewy and juicy. I think the price is not that bad I believe. I hope they give you the option where you can have only have boiled lobster instead of dinner meal. the staff are nice people to talk and explain to me friendly. their view at outside also amazing as well with beautiful sea!!! Just to be careful when you try to eat outside because these seagulls are somehow aggressive and try to snitch out your food so quickly!!!lol

There's a line but it moves quickly! Prices are fair and there's sufficient seating outside. Beware the bees or wasps if you have a sugary beverage. The service is quick and food is tasty, and with a view too! We enjoyed our last lobster roll of vacation at this spot on the recommendation of a local friend.

WOW! WOW!! WOW!!!
We enjoyed a Lobster roll, fish hamburger, (fish sandwich) which came with fries and slaw, (I didn't care for the slaw, but my wife loved it),For dessert an eclair, and an apple pastry. Loved every bite.

It was a B-E-A-U-tiful day out so we enjoyed our lunch outside with a beautiful ocean view. The staff was great, the food was fresh and served within minutes of us ordering.

Will hopefully visit Maine again, and the Lobster Shack will definitely be on the TO DO LIST!

The lobster is cooked fresh when you order it and the view is incredible! Naming it the "shack" is accurate, the building is very unassuming. But don't underestimate this place! The process of ordering is quick, and they call you when you're food is ready, so the line moves fast. You can't beat the view, either. The parking lot is large, but with the waves of people that flood in, it fills fast.
