I found a vehicle and given was driving down from MKE 90+min to IL to see it, I put a $300 non-refundable deposit on car night before. Following afternoon (Sat 3/9) went to see vehicle and ended up not purchasing the 2010 Rav4 V6 limited as didn't think the leather seats were comfortable for me, but I don't like many leather seats in cars so not surprised...such a shame as car was otherwise great, drove straight as an arrow and STRONG. No noises. Tires in good shape. Clean car, perfect carfax with 100% up to date maintenance (which is hard to find...both sets of brakes, new belts/plugs/pcv/filters + trans/coolant/transfer case/differentials/brake fluids all done in last 10-20k miles).
While I was fine with eating the deposit as I was planning/set to buy it (and would have had I liked the seats), they offered to refund me the deposit without asking given I wasn't interested in buying or taking to a shop to have it looked at for peace of mind during 7d hold period. Both associates were friendly, and I liked that they included a 30d warranty no charge should something unforeseen occur (something tells me even if wasn't powertrain related that they would be willing to work/help you out in every way possible. Given the laws in IL are not as consumer protection friendly vs WI, that was a nice touch. Wish they had another car I was interested in, as well as a location in WI. Wouldn't hesitate to buy a car there should the used car stars line up in the future. Highly recommended.

Outstanding selling experience. Sold a car to TK and from the beginning it was a great experience. I normally don’t go to smaller dealers but TK’s texts to me after I submitted a TrueCar quote were professional and transparent. He is truly not your normal car sales guy. TK was not lazy !! He showed me serval cars and I test drove 2 of them. As I was shopping for my son-in-law, I could only report back to him. Unfortunately, he didn’t want to drive that far to get a car. The cars I drove were great considering his low budget. The lot was well organized and TK was professional and courteous and checked in with me after my visit. They had a good range of vehicles as well.

Great sales experience for me, patience and price were all factors and they accomished all of them during my purchase. I used my own financing only because being a veteran I knew I was guaranteed a good rate without any bargaining or multiple credit pulls. Great staff and really enjoyed the experience. When i needed servicing the vehicle I purchased, it was as if I just came in the store to buy the vehicle the first time with customer service and they stand behind their word. This is now the third car we have bought from T.K. and Lazy Chimp. So being repeat customers probably says it all. In every case when we have come in for a test drive there were no surprises with the condition of any of the vehicles we came to see. There was no pressure and we test drove a few vehicles each time, sometime making two visits. T.K. was very helpful in disusing the various cars we were considering in the context of our needs. Best dealership I could find. They give you free warranty for a month on everything and also offer extended warranty. They allow you to take a car to a mechanic for the inspection. And they are quite honest with you.

Honestly I had a lot of fear going into buying a car, TK and the associates at Lazy chimps did a great job assuaging those fears by being transparent and willing to work with me.
