My wife and I spent our honeymoon at this resort and it was absolutely perfect! A beautiful, peaceful resort located within a fair distance of Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and many of the attractions on Mount Desert Island. I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone that wants to visit Maine!

Oh, lovely Maine!!! Our Experience at Harbor Ridge was one of a kind. We arrived in the middle of the winter storm this past December and although they had some power outages at the resort, by the time we arrived it had all been resolved. We dealt mostly with Annette and by the time our time at the resort was coming to an end, she felt like family. She went as far as to setting up the fire place and a whole s'mores kit for the kids and us to do at the fire place. We spent over an hour with her that day, past the time she was due to leave to her home. I can't say their commitment with the guests and the property are true and goes above and beyond. We are returning this April and we just can't wait. The resort is modest and very well kept and cleaned. It's very peaceful and relaxing. You could just move into their unit and die looking at the window to the beautiful scenic mountains in the background. Staff, service, unit, everything, just outstanding.

Beautiful area and great location even in cold weather. Kitchen was equipped well but some cookware (frying pan) needs to be replaced. There were a few maintenance issues, but everything we brought to their attention was corrected swiftly. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and Harbor Ridge. Carlene and Margaret (& all the staff with whom we interacted) were great.

Stayed here for about a week in September with family for our first time in Maine. The thing that really carries this place is the people that work there and the service they provide.

After our first day there, my mother's feet were covered in blisters because she needed bigger shoes and had trouble walking due to the pain. My parents are also older, so constant hardcore hiking wasn't ideal. So I went to the front desk after that day and they took the time to go through all the maps to find a mix of trails and other activities that would work for everyone. With all their suggestions, I was able to cobble together a list of easy walking and moderate hiking activities we could do for the rest of the week. The week definitely went better as it went along due to their help.

Additionally, I had brought my camera but it turns out the battery had completely died and couldn't hold a charge for more than a couple minutes anymore. Unfortunately there weren't any places around that sell batteries for Nikon DSLR cameras and anything I had shipped wouldn't arrive until the day before we were scheduled to leave. This is the price of going to one of these areas, so make sure to check your batteries and bring extras... They weren't able to find one but they checked around some of the shops locally and gave me some numbers for others to see if anyone sold the type of battery pack I was looking for, so points for trying in my book.

Location wise, it's conveniently located near some very close attractions (lighthouse, hiking, trails, lakes, sunsets, etc) and maybe about 20 minutes from the big loop in Acadia national park. It's also located near some really good places to eat like MDI lobster and BBQ which we loved (again, one of the staff's recommendations). If you need help coming up with plans or just need general suggestions, ask the staff.

S'mores night was fun and the blueberry pie was totally delicious. It was so good I had asked for the recipe on our way out. Unfortunately I have no idea where I put the card they gave me with the recipe on it and haven't seen it since :(. If you get a chance, order the pie and try it, it won't disappoint. I gotta remember to call or email them to ask for the recipe again...

There were a couple of cons but the service and friendliness of the staff I noted above more then outweighs them in my opinion so I'll stick with the 5 stars. No air-conditioning in the lower room, so if you'll be having people stay down there, be mindful of that as it can get stuffy in warmer weather and the direction the breeze comes from may not be from the window side of the room. Also, no house keeping (IE no clean towels or floor cleaning during the week). Although there is a washer and dryer in the units, you do have to pay for additional detergent. Only 50ยข per box but still a minor annoyance. Never been to a place without housekeeping throughout the week, so maybe it's just me.

Great experience! Will return for another summer. All units are fully furnished townhouses - spread over three floors, bedroom, bathroom and deck on the third floor; kitchen, living room, toilet and another deck on second floor(ground level); and jacuzzi and stand-in shower on the first floor(basement on ground level). It had stacked washer and dryer too. Sunrise is incredible over the mountains. Staff was very helpful. Miss the stay. The clubhouse has gym, a few games, pool and a hot tub.

Harbor Ridge always feels like "coming home!" All rooms are immaculate, needs are attended to like family and the location is perfect for relaxing at the resort or day trips anywhere in Acadia national park. The staff is welcoming and attentive and provide suggestions from the best places to go on MDI to how to cook a lobster! Spectacular views, quiet setting and shops nearby...perfect!

I was not an overnight guest at Harbor Ridge. but attended a bridal shower in their clubhouse function room. The room is an excellent, beautiful space for events such as this. Plenty of nice looking wooden tables and chairs and serving tables for a banquet setup. Very reasonably priced as well, based upon what I heard. The ocean view is impeccable and provided a cool breeze on a hot summer day.

We came off-season and had a great rate. It maybe less of a resort and more like traditional condos, which made this a very relaxing getaway for us. The one bedroom unit was three levels and had a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen had everything you needed to make meals (which we did). It was quiet and relaxing.

We had a wonderful time at Harbor Ridge. Our unit was clean and had all of the comforts of home. The main office staff gave of plenty of information to keep us busy during our stay on the island. This location is ideal to be close to everything we wanted to do, but not crowded or noisy. We'll certainly be back!

My wife and I spent our vacation on Mt. Desert Island and stayed at Harbor Ridge. The amenities are great, the staff friendly and helpful, and the area is quiet and out-of-the-way while still being close enough to Bar Harbor and other attractions.

The standout feature here was the staff. Belinda gave a very informative talk to introduce guests to the area, and then after our cab driver was out of town, offered to drive me to pick up my rental car. We will definitely visit again!

I've owned it this Resort since 1992 and I go and actually stay at the resort probably every three to four years and have an absolute blast! The staff is wonderful. They are very helpful in planning out ideas and activities for the week rain or shine. And I will continue coming to this Resort for the remainder of my days!

Great place to stay in southwest harbor. Great view from the balcony. We got there really late at night, by which time the front desk people had left for the day. But calling the emergency contact number on the door got us an extremely helpful lady who helped us get into the townhouse quickly. They were extremely knowledgeable about the local attractions and made some excellent recommendations of places to visit given the short amount of time we had.

We visit Harbor Ridge every year as we are owners of a timeshare week in the summer. It is clean and comfortable with beautiful views! The sleeping arrangements are an open master loft and two double beds in the basement with a full bath. There is a pullout couch on the main floor as well with balconies on each level. Laundry is on the main floor in the half bath. A pool and hot tub in the lodge makes for a fun end to every day!

Modest and comfortable accommodation on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island, we visit Harbor Ridge every few years and it serves as a pleasant home base for adventures.

All the necessities but few fancy frills, any cooking equipment and public facilities are only a short walk across the lawn, which makes it an excellent vacation location.

Views of the harbor from the porch are just as charming while sinking into the hot tub. It's a bit far from the center of the action of Bar Harbor - which is just how we like it!

They will provide many of the nicities of modern life, so no need to pack dish soap but do bring your shampoo.

Can I say wow? Harbor Ridge was absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in helping us find a restaurant to eat for dinner for the night we came in and they gave us a whole booklet of information. She gave us information on what's best to do in Acadia and some good hiking places. The views from the townhome was breathtaking. I highly suggest getting a park pass through the chamber of commerce that is right in town. I enjoyed every part of our stay. The townhome came with your basic anemities like shampoo & condition, soap, towels, and face wipes, just as you would at a hotel. The location was very close to some of the park entrances and close to town for dining. The price for the town homes was fair considering how central you are to the park and town. I'd highly recommend staying here. The two story townhome fits up to six people, 2.5 bathrooms, a full kitchen, three beds, and many more. Enjoy your stay!

Resort misleadingly and wonderfully tucked in Southwest Harbor. There in May, beautiful view toward mountains. and visits by deer looking for some tasty leaves. Friendly, helpful staff. 3 level townhouse style. Bedroom on basement level, living room, kitchen, small unenclosed deck on 2nd main level, and king sized bedroom on 3rd level with a small deck. if you're sharing the place. just be aware that 3rd level is open so if you're getting amorous, keep in mind sound travels (wink).

My parents own this time share. One of the perks of being an owner is you can use their facilities anytime you want, even when it's not your week. We always take the kids for February and April vacation. It's a nice way to forget it's the middle of winter even if it's only for a short while.
