We had the seafood chowder and it was by far the best soup I've ever had! Excellent flavor and so much seafood in it. It wasn't thick and creamy like my husband expected, but the flavor was so exceptional that it didn't need anything else.

Phenomenal lunch here. Service was friendly and our waiter clearly communicated when he thought there might be a wait for the fried items. The fisherman's platter (fried shrimp, scallops, clams and fish) was enormous and so fresh and good. The clam chowder and seafood chowder was packed full of large seafood chunks and the broth was flavorful and not too thick.

We happened upon this place & we're so glad we did! What a gem!
We were finishing up a day at Bar Harbor & Acadia N.P. We pressed the fork & knife button on the rental car GPS and it brought up this restaurant. We were hungry and it was the closest. So we headed in that direction.
When we arrived it was a little earlier than their 430pm posted open time, so we walked down to Seal Harbor beach for a bit. It was within walking distance.
Our server was delightful, very sweet and attentive, refilling our water glasses multiple times.
We ordered the seafood chowder and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. They were a little slow coming out, but both were delicious! The amount of seafood in the broth was like nothing I'd ever seen before! I ordered the shrimp and scallop Juliet and my boyfriend ordered the broiled halibut. His came with asparagus and potatoes (at his request). I had a side salad included with my pasta dish. I wish I had taken photos of the entrees! The portions were fantastic! My dish had amazing flavor and was packed with so much seafood and vegetables that you could barely see the pasta!
All and all, it was a lovely dining experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in here after visiting Cadillac mountain at sunrise. The seafood omelet was to die for. Literally the best I’ve ever had. Service was great. Lots of seating. I’d definitely go here again!

Stopped to eat here to get away from the crowds of bar harbor. I was a little nervous when I went in, but the waitress was awesome I wish I could remember her name, she had her daughter with her. She was honest and helpful, did a great job. The food was outstanding. I will definitely go back next time I am in the area.

We live just up the road, and despite all the good eats at our disposal in Bar Harbor we still find our selves here time and time again. The food is fantastic (I'll share a picture of the scallops au gratin, my personal fave) and the drinks are as always good too. I believe a granddaughter - grandmother duo run the place, adding to the charm that this business has been in their family for generations. Come here if you're looking for a slower, non rushed atmosphere, excellent seafood, and a great time.I challenge you to walk there if you're spending time in Seal Harbor ! Thank you so much for always giving us such excellent service, even for takeout. We will be back soon!

We hiked here for a “snack” from the seaside path. It was a perfect stop with excellent seafood omelettes, banana pancakes and deluxe French toast. Super good food and fueled our hike! Inspiring!

Kelly, Kaitlyn and Kate made this place memorable. We've been on a 15 day Maritime province tour, trying seafood chowder, mussels and haddock and we chose the Lighthouse twice! Awesome food, good conversations, and nice people. Their chowder is made with fish stock, as was the perfect consistency with lots of fish!, what's not to love.

This place was a terrific lunch stop! We got chowder and burgers - both hit the spot. Quick service. Nice laid back restaurant, a great antidote to the insanity of bar harbor restaurants.

Worth a visit. For lunch, I had the best crab roll I’ve ever had, and the rest of the family loved their meals as well. Their seafood chowder was great, with super fresh lobster included. I just wouldn’t order a Bloody Mary here. I’m pretty certain they use V8 for those so I would skip that one next time. It’s definitely a good place to eat if you’re hungry and you’re in Seal Harbor. The decor and atmosphere has a lot of local character as well which I really appreciate. Inside seating only.

We had lunch which was simple and delicious.
The food was great . Simolr but delicious. Prices are very fair. NOATE: there is a very rude waitress here with black hair and ponytail and a tatoo on her arm. She is very rude. A shame.

We were in acadia and Googled "restaurants near me" and got lucky. This unassuming little place is tucked away on a side street but worth looking for. Super delicious food and way more affordable than any of the places in Bar Harbor. Highly recommend!

This review is long overdue. We stumbled on the restaurant in early June 2020. Looked cozy so we stopped for lunch. Interesting old building. Very friendly young lady that waited on us said her family had purchased it from the Rockefeller's for $1. She served me the biggest and best Reuben sandwich I've ever had! Saved half to enjoy later that day. Next time in Bar Harbor we will definitely make the drive to The Lighthouse Restaurant.

Husband and I decided to stop at the Lighthouse Inn & Restaurant for lunch instead of back tracking to Bar Harbor or spending $$$ at Jordan Pond and waiting for a really long time. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived so we had maybe a 15 minute wait for a table. Staff super friendly, food absolutely delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was charming. I'm a fan of older buildings and loved the architecture and the ceilings. Short walk from the Village Green to the restaurant or to the beach. The day was super foggy and made for some interesting pictures of the boats tied out in the harbor barely peeking through the fog.

We would definitely visit Lighthouse Inn and Restaurant again if we are ever back in the area.

Thank you for your service, delicious food and dealing with the influx of business in the times we are in now. Your work is appreciated!!

While this was our second choice for tonight's dinner, it was one of the best surprises we've had in Maine so far.

Bartender Jason was busy but very attentive to all his guests and proved to be knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He recommended great local beer and delicious meals for the family.

Children's haddock was tasty and delicately crunchy. It was also the biggest kids meal I've ever seen.

We adults had the creamy, tender seafood platter on a puff pastry (sorry, forgot the name) and the juicy, lightly grilled halibut (you can also get it blackened with Cajun spices).
Even the bread was fresh, crunchy, yet soft and served with scrumptious home-made honey butter.

The portions were huge, but we fought a good fight and finished everything. Prices are expected to be higher but it's not a high end restaurant. Instead, I would call it a cozy, well-decorated bar where locals and regulars come to meet.

Had a great dinner here after enjoying Seal Harbor Beach. The seafood is fresh and delicious and it's perfect for kids as well. We had fried clams and stuffed haddock and I highly recommend both. The server/manager is incredibly friendly and helpful. I hope to come back!

Very cute restaurant in Seal Harbor. Nice beer and wine selection at great prices. I had the seafood chowder which was amazing! Packed with seafood. We shared the fried scallops and they were huge and cooked perfectly. BF had a lobster roll and said it was fantastic...very generous with the lobster and the fries were great too. Service was awesome. The waitress was very attentive. There’s a bakery next door and a really cool store/experience called The Naturalist’s Notebook next to the bakery. Check them both out!

Very pleasant lunch. Fish chowder was great, full of fish and few potatoes. Pesto burger and fries very good. The citrus salad also top notch. Friendly staff, nice decor, and reasonably priced. Will be stopping in again especially before our annual hike to Hunters beach or after the garden stops.
