The food was great, great service, all the staff was very kind and welcoming. Open til late, decent prices. I would recommend them to anyone! Had the lobster mac and cheese and 1/2 lb lobster roll.

Legendary for a reason. The grilled cheese crab was delicious, and the onion rings are some of the best I’ve had (I’m picky). The ambiance - music, crackling fire, decorations, lighting - and warmly inclusive staff make you part of something special. 🦞

Went here to try their popular lobster roll. We got the 1/2 pound lobster roll sautéed for $64. Also got the lobster bisque and ugly blueberry pie. Loved everything, it was slightly cold outside but we saw a deer across the street, so no complaints.

What a gem!! We had something else planned that didn't pan out... and everything happens for a reason!!

As we waited for our food, we looked at their wall of fame. We would like to congratulate Hal & Debbie on consecutive years of "days in a row".♡ Then, we had the pleasure of meeting Miss Charlotte herself!! She showed us her future dining room and yet another wall of fame!! This wall was completely different and wholeheartedly, I support passionately.

The food was amazing, infact LEGENDARY!! The best Lobster we have had- EVER. We split a Lobster grilled cheese (first ever) and a Sautéed Lobster Roll (first ever sautéed, and only 2nd Lobster Roll total). Another member did the footlong Lobster roll, half Sautéed and half regular. This is our first time to Maine and we are in love. We will return and most definitely revisit Charlotte's Legendary Lobster. I highly suggest a visit and recommend this restaurant with my all.♡♡♡

We LOVE it here! My teen described her hotdog as "one of the best things I've ever eaten!" - high praise from a kid who loves to eat. There was free popcorn while we waited for food to be prepared, and goats and chickens in the back of the building (next to the very old cemetery - did I mention that I LOVE it here?!). The decor was very interesting, and a small herd of deer wandered up across the street. The rest of us had a burger, grilled cheese, chicken fingers and fries. Prices are pretty typical for the area and it was all tasty. Staff greeted us as we came in and were very friendly. No issues with our peanut, treenut and soy allergies. The kids are asking to go back. Highly recommend!

Went here last week while vacationing in Southwest Harbor. Great atmosphere, good food, good times! We tried the lobster mac (delicious), broccoli/cheese soup (meh), PB bomb (yummy), and the fried haddock meal (good)!

OMG the food was amazing! The desert recommendation from the lady that took our order was *chef's kiss*. The caramel apple bomb was a huge hit. My husband's clam chowder was so creamy and delicious (and I don't usually like it), and my cheeseburger was phenomenal. The fried shrimp were hot and fresh and that was some of the best cocktail sauce I've had. Will definitely return!

What a great experience! Ginny at the visitor center outside Acadia recommended we eat at Charlotte’s place. What great advice!

Gary who was cleaning the parking lot was super friendly greeting us with a smile and told us where to get the food. We then encountered a very friendly lady at the order counter. She had perfect recommendations for food. The fried haddock dinner was so fresh, hot and large (filet); the fries crispy, hot and plentiful; the tasty fried corn nuggets also hot with maple syrup; oh so delicious blueberry pie and blueberry cheesecake!!

Charlotte’s super friendly dad was sitting on the property making conversation with us about harvesting lobster and how we should’ve also ordered the freshly made clam chowder! We were told at the order counter that the seafood is all locally sourced (of course). Charlotte was walking around and friendly. Forgot to mention what a cool looking place it is, clean and great vibe. Live music started just before we left and what blues talent!

Honestly, I rarely write such a detailed review, but we were so impressed that I couldn’t help but give Charlotte’s a shout out, not that it’s needed because there are already so many awesome reviews. By far the friendliest business on our New England trip.

BEST FOOD!
The best scallops I've eaten!!!
Lobster roll was amazing too 😍

THE PLACE:
This is a small-ish place at the side of the road with plenty of seating and parking; the staff is super friendly; and the food takes only a few minutes to be ready. While you wait, just enjoy the nice music or meet Charlotte who is simply adorable.
The only constructive criticism I have is that I like my Lobster bisque with little chunks of meat rather than just the soup. BUT, it was delicious! Totally recommend 👌🏽

I went to Charlotte’s with my dad, daughter, sister, nephew and niece. The people who run this place are incredibly friendly and so were the ladies working in the food truck. This is a great spot in a quiet area very close to Seawall Campground. The lobster roll was very very good as was the fries, burgers and desserts! The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere is A+… I highly recommend stopping here especially if staying in Seawall!

My husband and I were directed to this establishment but the motel we stayed at. The food is delicious and fresh. The owner, Charlotte, is so cheerful and you can tell she cares about her customers experience and the great business she created. When she heard it was our honeymoon she treated us very well! Definitely come here if you can! They also have vegetarian options from what I saw on the menu.

Came here because of the glowing reviews and it did not disappoint! Lobster roll was stuffed full, perfectly cooked (not rubbery) and nicely seasoned. They grill the rolls, which gives the roll a nice crunch. The crab roll was out of this world. No mayo--that monster of a roll was pure, fresh crab meat through and through. The clam chowder was just creamy enough and not bland like many other places in the area. My favorite clam chowder in Acadia so far.
They are apparently famous for their blueberry pie, which is admittedly fantastic. Perfect crust, with just the right consistency and sweetness of the filling. Service was friendly, quick, and clean.

5 stars on atmosphere alone (and the food was great too). While there weren't any fancy waterfront views, Charlotte's more than made up for it with its quaint, charming, local vibe. A grassy area off to the side served as a play area for our 4yo twins who loved working up an appetite spraying water guns into the field, riding hobby horses, feeding goats lettuce, and watching a deer family cross right in front of them. When our food arrived, they tore it up. Lobster, chowder, cheesy tater tots, fried clams, blueberry pie -- they loved it all.

It's so obvious that a lot of love went into this restaurant - you feel it from the moment you arrive -- so I was sad to see that this will be Charlotte's last season. So glad we had the chance to eat here and hoping that something changes so that we're able to return for many years to come.

I wish gmaps had a sixth star to give. Charlotte has the most authentic down east food and feel. Must not miss this place when on the island.

I stopped in here today and it has been a high point of my trip. There is a machine with free popcorn. I highly recommend sitting in their cozy lounge area, where there is a heater and a wood burning stove which might be lit. They have fantastic, laid back music playing, all instrumental covers of famous tunes. You need to look around and read the funny and interesting things they have on the walls, along with the very cool decor. The food was fantastic, but the atmosphere put this place over the top. I will make sure I stop by the next time I visit Acadia.

Super fun spot. I was there Sunday of Labor Day weekend. There was live music that was enjoyable. Super friendly staff. I had the lobster bisque that was just so so. But I rated 5 for the fun factor.

Great food at reasonable prices for what you’re getting! As a clam chowder fan who is quite picky about a *true* New England chowder, theirs is a great example of what to look for, and I was told that their fried clams were fantastic by my partner. Charlotte is a great owner with great energy that you can’t be sad around, and the location is packed full of character!

Go and you won’t regret it!

Delicious! The lady at the front was super friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I split a lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque and a lobster roll. Both were great. The blueberry bread pudding was so good. We will definitely be back!

Kept coming back while on vacation. I love seafood and this place offers a lot. Over the course of a few days I had blueberry pie, fried bananas, bacon wrapped scallops (perfect!), lobster bisque, fried shrimp dinner, haddock sandwich, and lobster bisque again. It was all great! I would come back to Maine again just for this food! The staff was friendly and on cold nights they have the fire going and it was a cozy atmosphere! I'll be back... someday!
