This was a an accidental find. Ooh I so loved finding this place. It is absolutely gorgeous beyond words! With the Fall colors it was just amazing to behold. It would be beautiful in any season but I think l got the golden ticket visiting in the Fall. The lady at the entrance was super friendly and admission is on a donation basis but recommended donation is 5.00, well worth it!

Great little garden you would probably pass by when visiting Acadia National Park. This is a hidden gem well worth an hour of your time if you like gardens. Some areas are Very Zen like as in Japanese Temple or Shrine gardens. Please also consider a donation while there.

Stopped by for my first time today - fall was popping! 🍁 Gorgeous, well-kept gardens. Serene and peaceful spot. Multiple benches off the paths to sit and enjoy the beauty of it al.

Beautiful small garden with a variety of plants! Very easy to miss the entrance, so be careful when turning into it. The entrance is free but donations are encouraged. There are a lot of benches and secret seating places around, where you can relax and enjoy the nature. When we were there, there were also adorable little duck family in the pond!

Beautiful, small, highly manicured and carefully designed Azalea garden on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island. Little nooks with nicely placed seating in order to enjoy the zen garden.

Gorgeous japanese-style small garden, impeccably maintained, aesthetically gorgeous plantings. Fantastic in early fall, but it appears with all the azaleas and Rhodos we will need to come back in spring.

Beautiful garden not too big or difficult to explore. Zen garden & water features were very calming. As it is October I was fascinated by the leaf change. There were lots of flowers too.

Small garden, but rich with beauty! It's especially lovely if you can visit when it's less populated. The walkways are artfully combed. Winding pathways deliver the ultimate views of this perfectly maintained zen garden.

This place is absolutely stunning during fall foliage season. You can see reflections in the pond during sunset time.

This was a brief, breathtaking stop during a busy day of hiking. It felt like a tranquil shift we needed to explore mindfully before starting the bedtime process. We were there for about 15 minutes but loved every second of it, especially the beautiful zen garden area.

While seemingly out of place in the forests of Acadia, this garden was a beautiful gem that makes for an easy and short walk through. Even though it was an easy walk from our hotel we would have driven here from other parts of the island to check it out too. If passing by, pull in and take 20 minutes to stroll around.

Very much love the peacefulness of this garden. Parking is easy to find and the voluntary contribution of $5 is cheap for what you see and get. It’s very well maintained. You will not be disappointed.

Don’t forget to visit its sister site, the Thuya Garden at 10 mins from there.

Lovely, magical garden. Fall beauty and not too crowded this time of year.

A beautiful garden, highly recommended. We opted out if Acadia park when the crowds proved to be too much. We headed west and stopped here when we saw their sign as we just wanted a little break. What a pleasant surprise on a beautiful fall afternoon. Not too crowded and admittance is by donation. A beautifully maintained and designed garden and a peaceful stroll through a wonderful garden. You would be remiss to oasis this one by in your travels.

Beautiful gem in Northeast Harbor, Maine. A must do in Spring especially. Suggested donation is $5, which is a bargain for strolling this awesome garden. A photographer’s playground, fun for all ages, family friendly, educational, and peaceful. Highly recommend and we will visit again. Check out our video on this on our channel on YouTube.

What a magnificent garden. We were a bit early, a week before Memorial day but the detail of the work in this garden is very impressive. It was the highlight of our trip to Bar Harbor and the island. It surprised me of all the cars with loud mufflers in such a peaceful place.
