Absolutely gorgeous place to visit (in Acadia National Park) any time of year. The Jordan Pond Path is a 3.1 mile loop around pristine Jordan Pond. It is rated as “easy” on the AllTrails app and takes about an hour to complete. It is mostly a flat trail with a total elevation gain of 45 feet. During peak summer and autumn foliage seasons, plan to arrive early to ensure parking availability. There are lots of other trail options branching off of Jordan Pond Path, including access to the beautiful Carriage Road network. Addition parking available at the Jordan Pond boat launch parking lot, just down the road.

if you’re going to hike in Acadia, I recommend Jordan pond as a good warm-up. Don’t go on a weekend though, there are going to be throngs of people at this time. I can’t imagine what summer is like here, we went in October.. we arrived at about 10 AM, and could not find parking. The trail head is quite large, with ample parking, but the amount of people that seem to flock to this place quickly overfill the parking area. The views, however, are stunning, and worth putting up with the crowds. The trail is well-maintained, flat and a very easy walk. This is good for grandma and grandpa as well as for the kids. there are a many spots in the trail, where runoff trenches have been cut, and require a bit of a step to get over people who walk with a cane or have mobility issues, my struggle in these places.

Wow! Jordan pond is absolutely beautiful!

We visited on October 17th and it took us about 2-3 hours to walk the entire trail (stopping many times along the way to take pictures lol)
I’d say we were pretty lucky with parking because when we were leaving at about 2pm there were 30 or more cars wrapped in a line waiting for a spot in the parking lot!

Top tip: plan to start early. It makes parking so much easier and the trails are much quieter. By 9AM it gets pretty busy and parking is a real struggle.
The hike itself is quite easy, all flat with a few places where you have to watch your footing as you work through the boulder field. There are plenty of places to take photos and, if you look carefully, there are lots of signs of nature. Unfortunately, we didn't see any exciting wildlife this year.

One of Acadia National Park's most renowned hikes, this 3.2-mile loop offers a delightful mix of rocky terrain, wooden pathways, and paved trails, making it accessible to all skill levels. Completing this hike typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, making it a perfect adventure for a morning or afternoon. However, due to its popularity, the parking lot tends to fill up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early or be prepared to walk a bit further to the trailhead.

What sets this trail apart are the breathtaking views it affords of the iconic bubbles. Should you work up an appetite during your hike, the nearby Jordan Pond restaurant offers a fantastic spot for a satisfying lunch or delicious popovers. This flat and scenic trail guarantees an enjoyable outdoor experience for everyone.

Awesome loop, and great view of bubble rock! The path / loop around the pond is approximately 3 miles with plenty to see. Half of the loop is elevated wooden planks laid out to form the path, with the rest being variations of flat or rocky. Its a nice loop, but with lots of people, so you occasionally have to move out of each other's way on the wooden plank side.

Ok, this trail is rated easy, which it mostly is, however there are areas that you have to climb over boulders, walk through mud and balance on a wooden walkway. The walkway can be a little difficult if you have balance issues. I am rating it easy but also be aware of the above.

Great hike at around 6 km. The trail goes around the lake, is nice and easy, is well maintained, and has a gorgeous view all around. Swimming and water activities are not permitted in the water - lots of signs are posted. Would highly recommend. Enjoy!

Great loop hike. It's not hard just a bit long. But definitely worth it. The views are amazing. It's difficult to find parking so come early or later in the evening. Great spots where you can just sit, enjoy the views and have a snack. It's one of my favorites at Acadia National Park.
The gift shop area has restrooms and water fountains. There is also a restaurant there you can try.

Beware: This trail will take more time to complete as expected. Because this is very beautiful that one can not avoid taking photos of this gorgeous pond.(lol) Bring the camera, its highly photogenic.

We hiked the Jordan Pond clockwise during fall and we completed the loop. This trail is very scenic. One must visit during fall. The hike was moderate. It very beautiful and the trail is around the pond. This is photogenic place, we have captured a lot of photos.

Initially for the first half the trail is just walking around the lake. We will walk on normal path and then followed by wooden foot bridge. It is very easy. In the next half it is rocky where we need to climb over the rocks. It is moderate. It will take long time to complete the trail but it is very beautiful and we can view different scenic views. There are some trees which are different in shape where we can capture some funny moments. There is a bridge in the middle.

The parking spot is limited. Its bit difficult to find the parking place. Its better to travel in the bus and can avoid parking problems. The bus is free.

This is a must visit place in Acadia.

Get there early..like 8am for a parking spot. Walk counterclockwise...beautiful walk and well worth the earlier time into the park. There is also a small hike up the hill to one of the carriage bridges that has a pretty waterfall atm. Acadia is just nuts the later you leave it.

The view was just mesmerizing and definitely photo worthy spot. We walked half way of the loop and went straight to bubble rock which took us awhile to get back on the loop to walk back to the staring point.
It is a must go to spot if you are visiting this town.

We got here on Friday morning around 9:30 am and it was pretty easy finding a parking spot. Go early as it gets very crowded as the day progresses. You would definitely need to stop frequently to take photos of this amazing pond so go early if you want to take time to enjoy the view!

It’s about 3.3 miles of loop trail which can be easy for all ages and dogs!

Jordan pond trail is 3.2miles loop trail. Best done early in the morning. During the busy season, you really need to arrive before 9am or you won't have a parking space. Need to arrive before 8am if you prefer solitude and not have dozens or possibly hundreds of other hikers on the trail with you. The right side of pond (east) is a wide gravel path. The left side (west) is a boardwalk. The north end is a rock boulder scramble. It is all flat and easy for reasonably fit people.

We loved this trail! It's a nice hike around the pond. The north end requires some climbing over boulders. The west side consists mostly of narrow boardwalks. The pond is stunning. Parking was challenging.

Gorgeous hike. Trail is easy with a small section I would consider moderate for some. Even on a foggy day, it's beautiful. Trail is about 2 hours but can take longer if u like to take photos, which I do.

We hiked the trail counter clockwise. It was drizzly and foggy. The trail is fairly flat and easy to follow. An old wooden footbridge and the scenery are highlights. Despite how flat it is, folks with mobility issues may be challenged on a section which is rocks. The boardwalk section is a relief after that, although almost more slippery. Beautiful views throughout.

Gorgeous! Wonderful hike!
Most of the hike is easy, but there are parts that could be considered moderate.

I hiked the Jordan pond trail clockwise. It is about 3.3 miles of loop. It is pretty much flat except there is a section which is rocky. The view is breathtaking. The sound of water is music to my ears.
I went up there at 8am and had no trouble finding a parking spot. However, when i left around 11am parking area was congested. So, go early and enjoy the view.

Peaceful nature getaway. Jordon Pond is a gorgeous area and very quiet in the off-season. We walked the trail along the shore of the pond which was easy and mostly flat with some areas to scramble on and through rocks.

Our hike on the Jordan Pond Path was 3.3mi and took a us about 1.5hr with stopping for photos.
