Nice, clean, quiet area. Only found 2 pieces of trash on my search. Well marked trails. Met with some friendly dogs along the way.

The Alden Library has done a great job creating an outdoor reading activity for families who want to do social distancing outings. They put pages from Maurice Sendack's "Where The Wild Things Are" along the trail and have a craft kit you can pick up at the library to go with it. There is an example of the craft and some info at the end of the story portion of the trail. It's also a sweet little walk in its own right. The wild leeks are blooming this time of year.

Stayed near here but bc it rained pretty hard when we were there, we did not explore. Small parking lot and several short loop trails to take but the markers seem maybe confusing. Will update on my next visit to Alden in hopefully a few weeks

This is a hidden gem if you are looking for a nice little hike. Great view of Torch Lake at the top. While the trail is a bit rugged, the snowshoeing is pretty nice. You can enjoy this spot every day of the year.

Great, short hiking trail. I would not use the term rustic to describe this trail. The trail is well groomed and well marked. You'll find yourself hiking beneath a tall canopy of trees. Approximately 1.5 miles.

Beautiful! These pics were taken the end of June 2020. Coy Mountain trail head is hard to find. NO sign. It's down a little dirt rd RIGHT NEXT to someone's house, so you'd mistake it for private property.

Very quiet, beautiful old forest with huge trees. Easy hike and close to downtown Alden. What a gem!

Great place to walk the dogs in morning to wear them out of the day. Good hills but not too rugged.
