Burnette's Campground

Awesome campground, now one of my favorites. Facility is very clean. Right in town, walk to shops and beach.(Particularly impressed with the ice cream and candy stores) Zoo is next door, you can hear the lion roaring at times!
Very quiet and relaxing.

I came up to this Campground on Saturday morning but more importantly called to keep them informed as to me getting there on Saturday instead of Friday. These folks are the best! From my initial call to book until finally getting here for my stay, they are so nice! Cooper the Brown’s grandson (guided me to the site) he wanted me to choose which one I felt was drier after the rain on Friday. He is awesome! Their daughter-in-law (just so beyond nice!) The “Browns” I truly have enjoyed meeting them and I will rave about my stay and will be back again next summer! When you meet folks that are so warm and friendly that they make you feel comfortable to the point you smile at them because they are just that wonderful (“Grateful I found Burnettes Campground”)

Great campground literally a 3-5 minute walk to everything surrounding Short Sands Beach. The campground itself is immaculate and almost all the seasonal units are new and really well maintained. Our site was flat and long. Sites here are a bit close and do not offer much privacy but they nice nonetheless. We appreciated that it was gated, all roads are paved which is great for kids riding their bikes and scooters. It is also very quiet, so quiet that you can hear the lions roaring at The abutting zoo. We spent 4 nights and look forward to coming back for years to come.

By far the best camping we’ve had! Such a beautiful quaint area, easy access to zoo, board walk and beaches.. quick walk! Yet so quiet you’d never know you were in the center of all the amazing spots to see! Absolutely precious staff, so helpful and welcoming! THIS IS THE DESTINATION YOU NEED TO GET TO! The peace you get, along with adventures of a lifetime are beyond words… ❤❤❤❤

This is my first time at this campground and I am extremely pleased. Not only were the staff friendly and accommodating, but they went above and beyond when the battery in my Jeep accidentally drained over night and they came over to our site and helped us get it jumped. Besides that incredible customer service, the camp ground is very nice, clean, and couldn't be located any better. It's within walking distance to everything we needed for a great week getaway.

Amazing campground in an awesome place just steps from the beach! We were greeted several times by the owner and she is fantastic and helped us make decisions as to what to do! Had a wonderful stay there!!

Wonderful family friendly park. Mostly newer trailers and very friendly people. The bath house is always clean and a quarter gets you a 5 minute shower. No pets allowed although there is one very friendly cat that roams the park. Very close to the beach and directly next to the wild animal kingdom park but not loud at all. Sometimes at night we can hear the lions from the zoo which is a really cool sound if you've never experienced a lion roar before! My family has been comming here for years and will continue to do so. Hope to see you there. Short sands beach is a 3 minute walk away

Campground was very clean, well maintained, and welcoming. We stayed at a tent site equipped with picnic table and fire pit. Showers at the bath house are quarter (25¢) powered. Office has fire wood, and ice available to patrons.

Campground is literally a 5 minute walk away from the main street hub of dining and casual shopping, and 10 minutes away from short sands beach.

Will return!

Each time I go in vacation Burnette's Campground is my spot :) On the tent site with electricity. Washrooms/ showers near are super clean, doesn't really make you feel like you are in camping. Great atmosphere and service. PLUS the campsite is located central of York tourist activities (shop, little restaurant, funorama, shortsand beach you can walk to, longsand beach a bit farter...nubble house is near also) . Easy access when I travel from Qc City :) I would 100% to someone who is looking for a first time camping experience in York :)

We have been coming to Burnettes for 4 years. We love the set up, the accessibility to town and both Short Sands and Long Sands Beaches. The bathrooms are always clean. Great location.

My family stayed this weekend for the second time this year. I absolutely love burnettes. It's so clean and the grounds are kept well. You can tell the seasonal campers are like family to each other. The location of the campground to the beach, restaurants, stores, and the zoo is unreal. We could hear the lion roaring from our site. We had so much fun in May and this time had new family members with us to enjoy the experience. We will be back next season for sure.

Burnette's Campground is a definite second home. Wonderful owners, family staff & accommodating for everyone young & elderly. Beautiful grounds, immaculate, friendly & of course lots of fun in a relaxing environment. To be right in the Town & walk to the Beach at short sands, have all the restaurant's, shopping, Yorks Wild Kingdom with the rides & Zoo is a huge plus for all. If perfection & fun is what your looking for, Burnette's is the place to go. A hundred stars from me as they absolutely deserve it & TY Judy for a wonderful experience.

They may be strict on the outside. But on the inside, it is a very well maintained ground. There are plenty of RV storage/camp spots. They have a bathroom for all. They have firepit OR electrical capabilities. They have their rules but follow them and you will undoubtly enjoy your convenient stay at a campground that is a baby crawl from the heart of york and all its business's and a 5 minute walk from your feet in the sand.

Burnette's my favorite place with lots of wonderful memories!!! Grew up coming here every summer for camping. Lots of changes since then planning a camping weekend this summer. Very clean. Atmosphere is delightful as everything in York Beach is right there around you.

Right in the middle if everything. Within walking distance to zoo, beach, restaurants, etc. Super clean up to date restrooms and showers. Even though it's in town the campsite are nm ice and quiet. Except for the honks and roars from the peacocks and lions in the morning and evening from the zoo next door which we loved.

This campground was so fun! We were tent camping for my birthday and we had a blast. It does get very quiet at night, but the staff is so friendly. The bathroom and showers were VERY clean and the grounds were well kept. Remember that you need quarters to use the showers! The location was perfect; right in town with everything in walking distance including the beach.

Beautiful, family run camp ground. It is clean, well-maintained, and run by a really great family. It is very close to the beach, good shops and restaurants.

Our favorite camping trip of the summer is at Burnett's. Right across from short sands and on the strip with all the shops. Not quite as much camping as in the mountains but a great place to stay while at the beach and still campfire and smores every night. Friendly staff and clean.

The campground is immaculately maintained and the location is fantastic. It’s a short walk from the front door to the beach. Highly recommended!

So close to everything walking distance to the beach.The Zoo is next door. Noble lighthouse just a mile and a half walking distance. The family and staff are extremely pleasant.
