Fox's Lobster House

If you are ever in the area, you absolutely should not pass up eating at Fox's Lobster House. I was lucky to catch the last weekend they would be open before winterizing the building.

Everything I tasted was scrumptious!! Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was welcoming and charming. I'll definitely come back to try the other items on the menu.

Great food with great service at great prices. This restaurant has two levels with great views. There is also an outdoor patio and a walk-up window to order takeout.

The restaurant is located near the lighthouse and is open seasonally.

Anna was a great server! Clam chowder, lobster bisque, steamers, lazy lobster & 1.5 lb. Whole lobster were all wonderful.
Blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream was also so good! Great seasonal blueberry drinks and York beer from the bar. Beautiful direct view of the famous Nubble lighthouse with free parking.

It was quiet where we sat which was something I enjoyed, we drove up from Massachusetts as we were on vacation and it was one of the few places on the map that popped up for a suggested place to eat. I'm glad we stopped and ate here. There's two floors to the building and we decided to to upstairs. The views were amazing! (See pictures). The prices for the food was super reasonable and we enjoyed a lot of great foods, and there was a lot on the menu that caught our eyes. We tried the lobster Mac and cheese, grilled cheese, shrimp and chips. I look forward to coming back, when we make our way back this way in the future.

First and foremost, great place all around. Fantastic view from upstairs, all of the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Lobster stew is FULL of lobster. I honestly expected a diner type of mediocre steak with the twin filets but I was pleasantly surprised and very wrong. Excellent steaks, cooked perfectly. Great assortment of mocktails as well which not many have.

We went at the end of the season, so there were a few things not available. The food that we did get wad very good! The waitress was absolutely wonderful and pleasant! I'm glad we got to try them before closing up for the season.

Absolutely delicious food with a view you can't beat. You have outdoor and indoor options for seating. The service was kind and tentative without being over bearing. We will definitely go back. You can't beat the location. They do have a parking lot for fox's dinners which is helpful since the public parking for the nubble light house can fill up fast.

Great food, I only interacted with the person at the window. He was okay. Not short responses just busy. Took the order, no questions. The area is amazing though and I always come here for my lobster roll every year.

This is a gem of a place. The views, food, service... the food it's all fantastic

We were there the first week of October, ate some dinner as the sun was setting. My husband had his first lobster roll and said it was amazing. I had the chicken tenders with fries which were really good. The bonus was our incredible view of the lighthouse.

Sat at the bar for lunch. Had a garden salad and the Lobster Grilled Cheese on Sourdough. It was excellent. Also for dessert
I had the homemade Blueberry Pie and that was DELICIOUS. My wife had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and she loved it. The bartender was the owners niece and she did an awesome job and also was very attentive.

Fox’s Lobster House has Maine lobster rolls at their very best. I have never had one better than their “Favorite Lobster Roll”! They have a wide variety of different lobster dishes (fried, steamed, salad, stews, etc.) as well as many other types of seafood - everything from clam chowder to a fried seafood platter to much, more more! If you’re craving good, quick seafood, this is the place to go to. I am craving their lobster roll just as I’m typing this review! I can’t wait to go back once I’m in the area again - anytime I’m in this area of Maine I’ll make the effort to come to Fox’s!

What a great spot to stop and eat. The menu has a nice selection. The food was high quality and delicious.

We have done both the take out window and the full service inside. Depends on your mood and they let us choose.

Look for the Fox signature dishes for something extra yummy. We shall return.

We got to sit upstairs and see the amazing view while enjoying our haddock and lobster roll - which were fantastic!!! We also tried the blueberry pie which was so good! My visit to Maine is complete - thank you!!

Great seafood with magnificent views of the Nubble Lighthouse. Sit upstairs if it's available 😉. Our waitress was great, fast service on a busy Saturday in season (August), and we split the 2 x 1 1/8 lbs. lobster dinner, which was more than enough for both of us. Plus I added a draft beer flight (the blueberry beer is great!).

This is THE place to go for fresh, sweet lobster. Period. Sure you can pepper it with amazing Blueberry Ale and top it of with Phyllis’s famous blueberry pie but really…this is where the lobster is Kweeeeen! The staff are hard working but always smiling! Get there at 5 because this place packs fast. But even if you get there late it’s worth every minute of waiting.

First time vacationing in Maine and had to try the fresh seafood! The clam chowdah (New England of course) was thick, creamy and loaded with clams. Taste was excellent. The lobster roll was packed with big chunks of lobster, lightly tossed with mayo. One of the best I've had in a while.
When I tried the homemade blueberry pie, the first words I said was "tastes just like my mother's"! Flaky, melt in your mouth crust, loaded with wild Maine blueberries. Definitely a treat to finish off a great lunch.

After taking some great shots of the lighthouse we decided to get a lobster roll and some dessert from Fox's.

The lobster roll was delicious, as was the apple crisp, and blueberry pie.

The waitress was sweet as the pie, and the view was amazing at sunset.

This place has amazing views of the ocean and the Nubble Lighthouse. This area was a favorite destination when I was a kid living back east (only about 95 miles from MA). Now...visiting from AZ after so many years, it's still a great day trip. The food here was really good. Get the lobster...in any dish, it was delicious. After lunch we got ice cream at their shop just outside the restaurant. Staff was friendly, the place was clean, the food was great. Can't beat the views...

Lunch in Maine on a perfect October day. Fish chowder, lobster stew, lobster roll with fries, and grilled lobster sandwich with havarti cheese and tomato and a side of onion rings. The food was as good as it looks and the view is even better. Food , service, and setting were just perfect. They are closing Sunday for the winter. So happy we made it for lunch in the second week of October.
