Sweet Josie's Candy Shoppe

My family and I are on vacation for the weekend. We stopped in Sweet Josie’s to get some treats. It was clean and welcoming. The staff was so nice and she felt like extended family. She was able to share the process about how they make the fudge and was overall super helpful. As we were leaving she was rushed with a large group and handled it so eloquently. I will definitely stop back in before we leave for some more treats to bring back home! Must stop in if you are in the area! We had such a fun and wonderful experience!

Our favorite candy store to visit in York, Maine every summer!! Candy for kids, and sooo many of flavors of fudge!! After telling her we came back for their specific unicorn fudge, she gave it to us for free with my purchase. My 5 yr old daughter was excited and felt so special. Love that they support their frequent *fudge* flyers! :)

This place is a jewel. My kids love it and certainly myself! A lot of treats to buy from fudge, baked cookies and candies. We enjoyed the shaved ice; worth the waiting!

We absolutely love this shop... enough so we planned a whole vacation around it. Over 40 different kinds of fudge and more candy than you can imagine. The unique selections make it impossible to go just one time. Highly recommend stopping in and testing EVERYTHING. Clean and welcoming atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.

This spot is so cool. A wonderful selection of candy and mouth watering fudge. Mmmmm their fudge is superb. So many options and flavors. From Raspberry to Peanut Butter.

One of my favorite candy stores! Been visiting yearly since I was a kid. Great selection of penny candy, ice cream, shaved ice, and other goodness. There's always nice, friendly folks working there. The fudge is the absolute best I've had anywhere (I've tried a lot of places) and they have an incredible selection of flavors. Definitely recommend a stop if you're in the area.

Sweet Josie’s is the absolute best! Best candy store I have ever visited throughout New England. An incredible amount of different kinds of tasty.fudge and so many other candies for the kids to choose from and fill their bags. Price can’t be beat! This store brings me back to my childhood memories of my grandmother’s fudge and penny candy counters. A treat for young and old alike! Don’t miss a visit to Sweet Josie’s when you visit York, ME.

Stopped by Josie’s for the first time and received the best service! They went out of their way to help us! We asked the manager if they had chocolate covered gummies (they are amazing!) and she went out in the back and got fresh ones for us! Then when we were checking out we asked if they had any birthday cake fudge left and they went and found us a fresh batch. Thank you so much again for the AMAZING service! They sure do have the best employees! We will come back again!

You have to stop in if you are in the area! We have started coming to York Beach regularly and my 4 year old daughter loves pink and Koalas. She saw a Koala stuffed animal in the window and has been talking about it for weeks! The staff made her day and sold it to us even though it was not for sale! A lady with dark hair helped me- and was so amazing! She went above and beyond to help myself and all customers in the store. I have not had customer service like this is a very long time!
The candy is so fresh as well!
No need to go to any of the other candy stores! This one is the best!

I had an amazing experience yesterday that I would like to share. I came in with my 2 kids and was instantly greeted with a smile and explained how the process works. Walking in to the store is sure every kids dream. Aside from kids excited to get a bag of candy I asked if they made dark chocolate peanut clusters (my 95 year old grandfather had ask me to get them for him as they are his favorite) they didn’t have them but they offered to make me some! I was so great full of their kindness and go above and beyond to make their costumers happy the fact they don’t usually do this but did it I can not thank them enough. I came back in a couple of hour to pick them up and they were ready as promised and looked amazing. They sure made not only me happy my grandfather so greatful. We will definitely be back again I highly recommend this store and their customer service couldn’t have been better! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The woman at the counter was wonderful, friendly and informative. And I just love the Jelly Bean floor!. Their taffy is awesomeness!

First things first - every piece of chocolate was DELICIOUS.
I was heading up to Maine for a stay with my wife for our anniversary and a google search brought me here -- I called, and despite not currently offering delivery - the owners were so incredibly accommodating that they offered to deliver my order to the Cliff House themselves.
We discussed over a few phone calls what they had in the shoppe and what I wanted -- packaged it so beautifully - and left it at the front desk with a note attached.
The chocolates were simple delicious. And I ordered 6 or 7 different types.
The owners were delightful and appreciative of my shopping with them and could not have been any nicer.
5 Stars All the Way Around.

WHAT an AMAZING experience!!!! Molly was such a pleasure to meet! she is so sweet and the other 2 ladies working with her were so helpful! We come here during the summer months and the experience is ALWAYS fabulous! The fudge is so great and such an awesome selection! we love sweet Josie’s!!! It was my first time at Sweet Josie’s Candy Shop with my kids. They had the best service and staff. They were so nice to us. I will be going back for the fudge, shaved ice, and taffy.

We were passing by the shop. The girls running the shop were just about to lock up. They saw my two daughters and said “you girls wanted some candy? We will open back up for you!” They made my girls day! They were very helpful and made the experience so fun! The kids loved the selection too!

My family truly enjoys the great variety of fudge that's always on display. The fudge is delicious and the staff is pleasant and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction.

The best fudge and candy selection! The animal cookie fudge….wow, just wow. Friendly staff. A wide selection of self serve candy and refreshing Richie’s slushies! Definitely a staple stop to add to your list at short sands.
