Gorman’s Contemporary had an excellent selection of quality furnishings, a well-informed and qualified team, and very friendly staff. Darlene was very helpful, professional, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had all of our questions answered. She went so far as to contact the manufacturer’s rep to clarify possible sofa/loveseat build configurations and pricing as they were key to our purchase decisions. Started my process with the online messaging service for a particular furniture line that the Gormans contemporary store carries. Kim, interior designer at this location, answered my question and provided me with sample selection images, optional details, and prices quickly. We decided to go into the store as well to see the samples in person. Kim was, again, very helpful and attentive. We ended up ordering the stools we were interested in, and we are looking forward to their arrival. Kim did a great job from the beginning inquiry through to the ordering/purchasing. Everyone we encountered at this Gormans location was courteous and professional. Ample parking at the store as well. We will consider Gormans and Kim for our future needs.

Kim was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We had to find a taller powered sofa and then match a loveseat, chair, and ottoman to the couch. She was more of a designer than a sales person - a much better experience. When you go to Gorman’s I’d recommend you see if she is working and get the same experience we did.

Carol was the designer/sales person who assisted us today. She was helpful, but not overbearing. We ask her to give us time to look and she did. Once we found several items we liked she assisted with selection. I highly recommend asking for Carol if you visit the Southfield Gormans location.
