Nicollet Island Inn

Our family went here today to try out the Nicollet Island Inn brunch, which we had heard about but never experienced. It was the best ever - delicious brunch menu served until 2:00 p.m., great service from the wait staff, and a quiet mid-island classy setting right on the Mississippi River. Will definitely be back!

The island is in the middle of the Mississippi River and within the vicinity of everything. I stayed at the inn and also had a delicious dinner here. Quality and food presentation were divine. The restaurant is more upscale, great for celebrations both big and small. The rooms were spacious and the complimentary coffee exquisite.

Corey and the team here are wonderful, they go out of their way to make evenings special. Came here tonight for an anniversary, and on top of the usual great food & amazing cocktails, they surprised us desserts and a wine (including accommodating my wife with an NA drink!), all while seamlessly juggling a 20+ large party

This is perhaps the best restaurant in the Twin Cities area.

The staff is excellent.

They treat you well, and the food is prepared very well.

It's been a while since we've been there, but we will come back.

Some of the best cocktails I've had in Minneapolis. Each dish was delicious. I'm not typically a seafood guy, but the salmon was perfect.

Went there for dinner with friends . One of the best servers I have had anywhere (Dan) . 3 of us had Lobster ravioli and it was amazing plenty of lobster in the sauce and the pasta and 1 rigatoni which my hubby said was great . We each had a craft cocktail at the bar while waiting for our friends. Refreshing, interesting and well made . The bartender also great service. It's on the expensive end of dining but well worth it for the food, the service and the atmosphere and view of the Mississippi . We can't do it often but it was great food,drinks and service . A wonderful evening

Quaint and lovely hotel that overlooks the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers. Our room had a perfect view of the river and we enjoyed a cool September breeze from our open window off the 3rd floor. Walking distance were the downtown cobblestone roads, shops, restaurants, and all the nostalgia of old. The view from the hotel of Mpls/St Paul is just fantastic! We loved it!!

Returned to this spot for our Valentine Date night and was not disappointed. Great food and service with a calm ambience.

I had a breakfast Rueben which is a Rueben and eggs Benedict combined I questions ordering now I am glad I am adventitious cause it was delicious. My host was older than me and her are both hard of hearing and was wonderfully quiet very nice place a bit on the high side as far as the food but I think it was worth it meals were big enough that I’m the only one who didn’t bring food home. I will go back again very nice place for a quiet get together where a person can hear what other say to them.

Corey provided such amazing service! Despite some scheduling conflicts that required us to make rearrangements for our anniversary, Corey ensured that we had a great experience at the Nicollet Island Inn. We plan on returning each year as a new anniversary tradition!

My friends and I were looking for a place to have good food and drink. THE SUMMER OLD FASHION is the main reason I go. I also get the truffle deviled eggs. It is very chill place and friendly to hang at the bar and grab some good eats.

Ordered the Sunflower cocktail and Wagyu Short Rib pasta, soooo good! Also had the bread and deviled eggs

The food was plated so beautifully and the service and ambiance is great

Lobster Week is an absolute MUST! Truly an excellent fine dining experience! Well worth the price!

I was stunned by how beautifully maintained the building was, from the lobby to the rooms. The staff were wonderful, both when they answered my questions on the phone prior to my visit then again when I arrived. And the location is PERFECT for someone who loves to walk or run to see the area. It’s stunning how you take a right off a street in the heart of the city and emerge on the river and the noise from above has dissipated. I didn't have an opportunity to dine in the beautiful glass-wrapped dining room, as both my daughter and I are vegetarians, but will come back with my seafood loving husband and assume I can find something. Given how responsive the staff seemed I suspect they could accommodate. I will absolutely be back!

Decorative drinks we had very memorable.

We choose this location for late lunch after my daughter's college graduation 🎓. We told the hostess that was the occaision when we walked in and everyone working knew and commented. It was a quiet time of day but we received such old school special treatment and attention to detail it made the lunch all that much more special especially for the grandparents. And of course the location and ambience is amazing. Who doesn't love a low hanging chandelier and river view! 20+ rating out of 10 😄 Definitely consider this spot for your next special event!

Places like these are hard to find. Beautiful establishment with great vibes. Excellent food, polite and warm waitstaff. We went for the Lobster Fest and it exceeded our expectations. Our waiter was great, helpful, and very very nice. He had a cool accent that added to the fanciness of the evening.

My favorite part is they have there own close free parking. This is worth its weight in gold in these cold winter months.

Also randomly Garrison Keillor was there.

So pleased to return to the Twin Cities and see Nicollet Island Inn in such good shape. I tried to have brunch on Sunday at 1:55 PM but only seating was in the bar. I declined but will try again when the diningroom is open.

I enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. I stayed there to be walking distance to the wedding I was attending. It worked perfectly for that.

We love this place! Such a great patio and wonderful bar. Fantastic for date night dinner and drinks or a meal with the kids.

If you need drink recommendations Brad is the best- such an extensive knowledge of wines and cocktails and always happy to find something to match what you’re looking for. Corey always recognizes familiar faces and does a great job making everyone feel welcome!
