Geels Orv Trailhead

Fun 50" trail! I had visited this trail during the winter (February) and the snow made it an interesting ride. Not a real technical trail, so it might be good for beginners. When I rode it, there were some snow drifts that were pretty deep still.

Lots of sandy areas some with well spaced woops. Like riding waves in our Jeep. Some very Long straight aways. Other parts that have a lot of twists & turns. You can stay on nice straighter, soft & wide seasonal roads & groomed trails or go on more narrow trails turning through the trees. There was some deep sand in areas that I had to use 4 wheel drive. The trails are marked well. With signs at most intersections. As 50"/atv trails criss-cross the area. So if you have a bike, quad or sxs. There are a lot of trails for you to rip through up there. There are a lot of other trails that branch off from this one. You can drive out there all day if you want.
We started in St. Helen got to Geels. Drove it and kept going. Covering much of the Roscommon area. Then back to St. Helen. Only touching pavement to cross a road every now and then. Had a blast. Jeep is still whole.
It's all mixed use orv trails, groomed snowmobile trails & 2-way seasonal roads. So watch for traffic. Again, Most trails are marked well. Our cell service worked everywhere we went so we could easily navigate with OnX.
