DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington - Minneapolis South

I don’t normally write reviews, but after I stayed here this past weekend, I knew I had to come on and leave some words about my experience. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. All so kind, compassionate, and just overall amazing people from the front desk, to security, and the housekeepers. Anyone I came into contact with was superb. The manager on duty Sunday morning was fabulous and very personable to everyone in the lobby. They are all wonderful and took care of my family, going above and beyond. Definitely will be staying here anytime I’m in the city.

I was there for a conference/convention. All the spaces were great, staff did everything they could to accommodate 1,000's of people. Only complaints, conference rooms weren't labeled clearly (room X this way..) or what presentation was at that location. Which could be on the convention not the hotel. Finally, wheelchair accessibility was difficult, but because there was so many people and everyone using the handicapped elevator (not the hotels issue)

This hotel was not on our corporate partner radar. However, after the review of several hotels the team pivoted to DoubleTree as preferred hotel accommodations for out of town travelers for our team meeting.

What a great experience from check-in to check-out! Nick (customer check-in desk) was amazing. The shuttle driver was flexible and dependable. The wait-staff in the restaurant accommodating, professional, and polite. The food was good and reasonably priced. The room accommodations provided everything needed for a work or leisure stay.

I will continue to book this location for my work/leisure travel to Minnetonka/Twin City area. I highly recommend this site for a rewarding experience.

Lovely hotel with everything I needed for a comfortable one night stay. Clean rooms and friendly front desk staff. I attended for a work event and all shipping and event organization was seamless.

Lovely. Kind, helpful staff. Clean rooms, great water pressure. Missed our connecting flight so we were put up here for the night. Not super close to the airport, 20-30 minutes? Stayed on the 12th floor.

Best of best and very reasonable price for staying on this, you will get service everyday, Staff look after you in genuine way, rooms have pool , kids area to play, Rooms are very neat and clean. Busy place, Speacial Parkings. Bar downstairs and get pizza deal over there., Breafast have few different items..

Everything in the room was in good repair. The room itself was clean. The bag the hair dryer was in wasn’t washed in a long time. The towels could use some fabric softener, but overall we were happy with everything.

The pool area was nice and clean. The hot tub was working great and the perfect temperature too. Just what I needed! There were accommodations for disabled people to enter the pool.

I visited the exercise room which was also very clean. The equipment that I tried worked and was easy to operate.

I called the 800 number to book our reservation. There was some miscommunication. I expected to have free continental breakfast and instead learned that the breakfast buffet would be around $18 each. I explained how I felt the woman on the phone misrepresented this. Quin was a gentleman explaining the situation and helping us figure things out. He had a calming presence.

The Hilton phone app signed me out when I looked away from facial recognition to get in the elevator. Oops. We were locked out of the room. Quin came to our rescue again! The other thing about the phone app was that it used a lot of battery life! About 50% in half a day.

Their restaurant Dover was nicely decorated and had good atmosphere. We came near the end of the buffet so the server, Anitria, worked with us and the chef to make sure our food choices were available and fresh. She has the gift of hospitality and made us feel at home. I think the scrambled eggs were even better than mom used to make. Sorry mom! LOL

My summary…the staff are what really made our stay! I think we enjoyed their hospitality almost as much as the hot tub! LOL

I had such a great time here.with my husband.i will be coming back.the food was great so peaceful and not that many kids here.THe staff is so kind.I enjoy the pool and hot tub the most very relaxing.i really enjoy myself it really clean

The rooms are decent sized. Great waterpressure and AC. Carpets could be steam cleaned or scrubbed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Great place. I have been there 5 times in the past 3 months for Recovery events. Awesome Staff, facility and great atmosphere. Love the Double tree Bloomington!

Used their airport park and shuttle service. Awesome price and awesome driver's. This was our first experience using this service provided by double tree. It will it me our last. Thank you drivers you were awesome.

The kids spent so much time in the pool, which is large and 9' deep on one end; kind of a rare treat anymore. The other end is a normal kid friendly depth. Big hot tub, high ceiling, lots of seating, peaceful, not scream-echoey... able to keep an eye on kids anywhere in the pool area. Our room was a bit older but very clean and nice in a retro "The Shining" kind of way. The hotel seems to be split into two stacks. If you must have a newer room, ask for the taller tower (I think). Our room rate didn't include breakfast. There was an event in the hotel with many people dressed up nicely and walking around. They seemed to be having a great time in one of the huge ballrooms. Fast elevators. Bar, market, helpers everywhere you look. Big free parking area, well lit, secure, safe feeling. A very capable, well maintained hotel. Will be back.

Stopped for just one night. We got there pretty late but the hotel was busy with a wedding, which didn't distract the lovely gentleman and lady at the front desk from checking me and my daughter in. They were both friendly and quick and gave us warm cookies :) Room on the 6th floor was great. Quiet, clean, comfy, and pretty good view. Enjoyed our night stay and felt well rested for our day of shopping at the Mall of America, which was really close.

I love this place...
I'm glad they have day use available again!
It makes it so easy to come to the cities to shop, swim relax & just have some "me time" without having to commit to overnight...
The staff has got much more efficient with checking me in, sadly the housekeeping has gone 😏downhill:
mirrors are streaky & more dust than there should be, it makes me nervous when I find empty water bottles under the bed, I wonder what kind of other filth gets missed. 😬
The hotel needs some updating, they need more outlets & why not some USB plug ins?💻🔌
They're all kinds of "fancy" with the bar, convention rooms & pool, but the location of some of them 🙃 doesn't make sense...
They should use higher end soaps & shampoos🧼🧴 & maybe hire a massage therapist or a few,
to work on site.... 💆‍♀👍
This place could be even better, if they want to update,
I would first make sure the elevators are maintained, remodeled somehow & NO squeaking,
kids get scared in rickety elevators ...
Well we all do really, 😬
the elevators tell you this hotel is older....
But old doesn't have to mean drab,
Get the housekeepers to step it up a bit, invest in better toiletries, ect.
They're so nice at the front desk, they don't overwhelm me with chit chat 🗣🦜
(I'm usually overtired when I arrive) Every once in a while, they even offer me a cookie, 🍪 not all the time, but some of them do.
The best ones ask if I have any allergies first, because the cookies have walnuts. ☠⚰
All in all, this is still on my top 5 fav. hotels in the Bloomington area,
MOA & airport is nearby & that's always convenient. ❤

Had a great stay at DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. Overall, I am giving a 5-star rating for very great customer service by the following:
1) Brad at the restaurant - super host/server at breakfast/restaurant area, fully engaging and always anticipating to provide us an amazing dining experience
2) James at the front desk - actively listening to concerns we raised about the bathroom, he appreciated our time for letting the management know, he noted that his manager will be able to look into this situation and make decisions.
3) Nick, the manager - very professional, showing empathy for our concerns, acknowledging
there was an issue and taking responsibility to be better. He handled the situation by understanding and providing immediate solutions. He assured that this will be raised to appropriate units/department for quality improvement and overall optimal customer satisfaction.

Subsequently, all these wonderful staff made our stay in this hotel enjoyable. Rick and I are truly a happy camper!

I have been to this hotel for a lot of conventions in the past with amazing experiences. I hadn't been back in a few years but I was really impressed with the updates/renovations!

Our stay was wonderful! James at the front desk was amazing and made my son’s birthday weekend even better. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and was good! The gentleman working at the buffet was also very nice and welcoming. Great experience!

Great place for company events. Staff is wonderful. Their team creates a memorable event.

When you stay at the Double Tree MSP, you will be treated like gold! The staff here alone is amazing enough to stay here, especially the Front Desk Manager named Nick! The first time I stayed there, he checked me in to my room, was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted to ensure I had a great stay! A month later I checked in with him for a conference, not staying there this time, but to attend a meeting. I recognized his iconic trademark red long sleeve dress shirt that he wore the last time! I needed assistance with facing a document and he so graciously did with no hesitation, ensuring that my needs were met! Thank you to Nick and his team for being so welcoming and inviting!! Guest Service goes a long way and this hotel certainly displays it well!

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was a very large place, but the while experience was just great
