This is a unique niche type of café/bistro, a true hidden downriver gem. You would never really guess it was there. The decor here is light yet elegant, the food likewise. I have not had one thing that I haven't loved here, the unique touches and creativity when it comes to their preparation are unrivaled. I would especially recommend brunch here. You won't get quiche, coffee and pastries quite like theses anywhere else. Bonus: it's a short walk down to the river, you can even peek at Grosse Ile on the other side, such a sight never gets old!

Great food! Many different varieties of quiche. The baked goods are delicious! Sea salt chocolate chip cookies mmmm good ! Small but excellent breakfast/lunch spot close to home. A must try!

Really good food and service. But be aware there's no internet. On Google, the vibe looked like any other coffee shop, but it's more of a diner. There are outlets, and you can still work on your laptop, though.

I love this place! Best breakfast sandwich in town! Get a lemon bar if you can grab one before they sell out! I have had some minor customer service issues like needing to ask to have tables cleaned and forks not being stocked (you have to grab your own and when they are out you’re stuck with food getting cold) but they have always been resolved with a smile.

The only thing that could make Promanade better would be a view of the Detroit River. This place makes their breads and pastries in-house and they do not skimp on quality nor quantity. I've tried nearly everything on their menu over the past 2 years and have never been dissapointed. The prices are reasonable for the product & it's consistent. The staff is friendly and customers are nice. They display art work from local artist, so even without the river back drop you've got plenty to look at if dinning in. Patio is limited but worth snagging a spot...or get it to go and walk 1 block east and sit at the river.

High quality bakery style restaurant with menu that changes. It is on the prixy side, but you do get quality food. I got the grilled cheese and it was very good as well the tomato soup.

We had a London Broil sandwich with fruit, London Broil Sandwich with greens, and a Promenade Coffee. The sandwiches were just the right size and flavorful, fruit was fresh and topped lightly with whipped cream, greens (salad) with a tasty house dressing, and the Promenade Coffee (maple syrup on the bottom, french press coffee, with whipped cream on top) was great.

The chocolate chip sea salt cookie was amazing.

The pastries and quiche looked amazing.

It was my wifes birthday coming up and with covid and the safety of the grandkids ...there was some depression....but come to the rescue was Promenades cupcakes and quiche. I couldn't decide on which quiche to get....so.....I got one of each for breakfast and a dozen cupcakes...6 of each kind for the birthday wishes of the Grandkids. They all got to blow out their own candles and make their own wish. It was a win win!....Thanks Promenade!

This place has grown to be one of my favorite local spots. The baked goods outshine many if my favorite Detroit bakery's offerings. And now the food is rising up. I always try to promote this place...I no longer think they need my help...it shines on it's own.

I could not be more impressed! Exceptional food, coffee, and service. Really lovely atmosphere. We got sandwiches, coffee, and dessert, and will definitely return for more! So happy that this place was recommended to me!

I get the breakfast sandwich and it's great everytime. Got a promenade for the first time and as expected it was extremely good. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, the food is always good and the atmosphere is fancy for breakfast and lunch.

The reuben sandwich was very good. The bread was super crisp. The corned beef was very good and not too salty.

My wife loves the kale Caesar salad. The garlic dressing is to die for but will stay with you all day. Also, we've tried the turkey basil sandwich and I tried the Zeb corned beef sandwich, and I was probably the best one I've had in years.
The fruit is a nice side part.

We have eaten in and used their prepared carryout meal service dozens of times. Food is always great and well crafted. There is always a variety of baked goods available which have all been fantastic. Staff is always very helpful and attentive.

One of my favorite places to meet up with friends. All of their food is fresh and home made, which is definitely a huge plus.

Every time I'm in the downriver area this is the place to come even if it's just to pick up a treat for later. The selection is always enticing and beautiful. It's difficult to pick just one or two things. The portions are large and the quality is outstanding. I have never been disappointed with any of my selections. The girls behind the counter are always cheerful and patience and willing to help make suggestions.

Went here for my birthday Lunch yesterday. Everything was fresh and delicious. The cookies, sandwiches & coffee all so so good!!!!! The staff was so kind and friendly. Loved the vibes and the music 💗
