Captain Jim's Marina & Bar

Captain Jims is always a stop of ours in Gibraltar! This fun bar offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as plenty of good times! Draft beer, cocktails, wine, they have it all! You now can also order food from the restaurant across the street and bring it to Jims. We ordered the club sandwich and enjoyed it. Staff are always super friendly and let us sample the different draft beers! Our favorite spot to sit is alongside the canal

The food was amazing and the choices are hard to make. So many great burgers and sandwiches to choose from. Morgan was fantastic

I'm an ex Superhost for ARBNB and will not recommend this place to the other host who ask me where to go for their guest down by the river; with that popye managing the place. Sadly. The food was great. Not so much, the guy with popye arms. He's kinda SILENT rude, but hey, it's his job?🫡🤔😬so don't smile at him. And whatever you do. Do not give him a compliment unless you want to feel like you just did something WRONG. 😏 Great atmosphere if he weren't near🫢and no. Not a drinker. Just a people person. However, it must suck for him as it shows all over his face. I believe he showed me. A stranger what it WOULD be like working under him or forbid. Just being in a place with him around me was a horrible experience. I will not put my guest to that silent torment. Go back in there KNOWING he's there? NOPE. I have pics showing pics that show his staffs faces when he's near them. HARD Times

I WAS a guest FIRST TIME THERE and Fear Him. Won't be going back there. Sadly. AND Only if he's not there. Bad bad energy.

Yeah.. Scary vibes with that guy. Oh. I hope I never see him again. I'll call to make sure he's not working for all guests I send. As for me. I watched the WATERFRONT being built as I dock at Lake Erie metro 28 years, and the waiting was awesome. It is great at WATERFRONT. However, calling first to make sure what popye manager is not there. He's just mean feeling. And not the first person to say so. However. I understand now. ????.? WOW
FEAR of bad energy? Oh yes. Many guests are first coming to MI.
So yeah. I'd rather have them in peace than with him there.

Very cool little place. ** See below At the moment they only serve drinks but it sounds like food will be coming shortly. They had a food truck when we were there. We came from the water and tied up our boat at their docks. It's an open air bar with lots of seating. Great place to hang with friends. Winter visit update... music, TVs, and corn hole. Just need their light bar moved up so you can see tvs. As they are, you have an obstructed view from the floor when looking at tvs. Still highly recommend Captain Jim's. **They now serve food and are in the process of remodeling. Food menu is somewhat limited but most of the sandwiches are good. Everyone that we eat with here loves their fries and most of the apps.

Great place to stop an grab a bite , catch a game , listen to music , or dance in the evening hours ....

We watched both the Rose Bowl and National Championship here. Watching the fans in the bar celebrating was 80% of the show.

Fantastic kayaking experience! The staff was super nice and helpful, and our kayaks were clean and in good repair.

They just started serving food, but the burgers were delicious, and the service was fast and polite!

Great atmosphere, food situation is a little different but it was extremely good food, fun place, the band was awesome (Foxhound).. will definitely be back.

Was at Captain Jim’s on Sun listening Sharon & Cody. The way Sharon interacted with the crowd was amazing. Don’t see that much. Please post when they will be back. We will be back if she is here again !!! Hands down best crowd performer I’ve witnessed 🙌🏼

It was a pretty cool lil place. My buddy was playing live acoustic guitar 🎸 outside. It sounded Great! The whiskey sour was $6. bucks 🤷‍♀

A little confusion about my reservation in the beginning but they had a solution to rectify it. We got lost towards the end and didn’t get back on time. They were concerned and found us along with a tow, super embarrassing but extremely thankful for them. Very nice people! Thank you for a great time, everyone had so much fun! Hope you’ll have us back again.

My girlfriend and I rented kayaks on Sunday. What a fun time we had. Captain Jim has a super group on young adults working for him. They all were nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. The place looks like it is really coming together nicely. We'll be back for a coffee or more kayaking.

Great and friendly staff. Extremely accommodating. They have beverages and some snacks available for purchase. I would highly recommend them for a day in the water whether you paddle board, kayak or canoe. They have rentals or you can drop your own!
