AAFES Gas Station (military only)

Went to the shoppette here to look around. Not too bad, many changes since my last visit years ago.

Gas prices are not better on base/post.

Tried to go on base to use the AAFES store hence was told by base security that retirees are not permitted on base. It seems that COVID 19 is the cause of the base closure to only active duty or reserve components. But, it would be nice if DoD would post info or updates to Google search or DoD websites. Sad that one who drives 8 miles to the gate is turned away. 3 stars given for lack of updates for us retirees who enjoy going on base.

Edit: As of May 2021 the base is open to retirees. Changed rating to 4 stars as the store is nice and employees are great. The only ding here is the security check point. Some of the guards do not know how to use the security scanners correctly. Lol.

Very nice and friendly staff but very poor selection on all products.
