Best Western Rochester Hotel Mayo Clinic Area/St. Mary's

This hotel is a great value. My wife and I stayed here while I was being treated at Mayo Clinic; we were charged the "Mayo rate," which was comparable to hotels having far fewer amenities. The standard room has plenty of space with desk, side chair, and hassock. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There is an large enclosed courtyard with hot tub, pool, water slide, and kiddie pool. A great place to hang out and get some daylight when it is 20 degrees outside. The building is well kept by maintenance people who can be seen working throughout the day. The small kiosk by the front desk sells snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks. A restaurant/sports bar is attached to the building and can be reached via a short walk from the hotel lobby. Breakfast includes eggs, potatoes, and meat as hot entries. It's even within walking distance of a Natural Grocers supermarket. We've stayed here twice while visiting Mayo Clinic and will do so again. It is a 5 to 10 minute drive to the clinic and there is a shuttle if you don't want to drive. We enjoyed both of our stays and really like this hotel.

Staff was very knowledgeable. When we checked in, the lady at the desk even showed up the best spot to park to be closest to our room. I want to give a shout-out to one of the workers. I believe his name was Ernest. He was very helpful. He saw me walking the hall in the morning, asked how my morning was, and if I was going to breakfast. Then, he gave me directions to the breakfast room. Then, at check out, he seemed very interested in how our stay was. Did we need any help with our items and wished up a great weekend. Hotel management, I hope you realize the asset you have and treat him well.

Very nice pool, very nice workers. Especially the front desk worker she was very kind, friendly, helpful, nice, and very patient! Breakfast was good. Our room was nice and clean. My family and I had a amazing time at this hotel!

Most of the reviews are lies. Of course there will be a strong smell of chlorine. It's a water park. Everything else is nice and neat. Only problem was the children who are ride disrespectful illmannered. Parents of children did nothing to keep them under control. Children should be banned from the hot tub by the pool.

We have stayed at this location a number of times for our appointments at Mayo. The staff remembers us and are all very friendly. The beds are the most comfortable around. Definitely would recommend even if the decor looks a little worn. It is worth it.

We were on the 1st floor and the chlorine smell wasn't as bad as mentioned in earlier reviews. The bed was great with all the pillows. The front desk lady was as sweet as could be. We had a great stay.

Was greeted at the desk by Davis. Super awesome customer service!!! She walked us through everything. Very kind, funny, extremely helpful & made sure we were well taken care of before we headed to room. She was the kind of employee you'd want representing your company. Room smelled fresh, A/C working great on hot/humid day, pool was clean & quiet, room bathroom immaculate. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

The best stay ever!!!!! The Lady at the front desk, Nyiesha is so awesome. Very personable. The hospitality here is so welcoming. There is another gentleman working, his name is Earnest. If the world had more people like him, we all would be in a better place. His attitude and positive attitude towards everything in general made our day every time we saw him. Between these 2 people, we will ALWAYS stay here. Thank you both

The Best Western in Rochester MN has probably become my favorite place to stay while traveling for business. Love the rooms, depending on where in the hotel you stay you get a little different room style. Indoor pool with hot tub and water slide. Swimming is available until 10pm which is longer than I believe most chains allow. Very family friendly! Continental breakfast is great, a huge dining room with different options each morning when staying multiple days. Location can be hard to find, but right off the highway and multiple food locations within a short drive. Attached to the hotel is a full service restaurant & bar that I've only enjoyed once. We stayed in winter and the restaurant isn't directly attached, but a short walk outside the side doors. The rewards program is great, still learning all the benefits but earning free stays doesn't take much when traveling for business. Overall very happy with their establishment and will continue to stay here when in the area.

Clean neat and well staffed with pool and hot tub. Great for kids in winter months.

Pleasant surprise! Rooms were clean and modern looking. Even though it was packed it did not feel packed in the pool area, and the kiddos had a blast at the pool! Full breakfast was nice and the employees were on top of the buffet! My family had a great time and we will definitely be returning!

We had fun staying here. The waterside was more than I expected and everyone, kids & adults, enjoyed it. Both the pools & the slide were closed Monday 4/19, for maintenance/repairs, which meant we couldn't go swimming again in the morning. The included breakfast surprised us with the range of foods, from make your own waffles to biscuits and gravy to cereal and juices. We will stay again if in the area!

Was there for my daughters cancer treatment at Mayo clinic. Alex was very helpful when i called and made reservations. Was very clean, rooms was comfortable. We were there 3 days, unfortunately because of her treatment we couldnt enjoy the pool. They have a kiddie pool and the big pool has a big slide. When we have to go back we will definitely be stay there again.

Stayed here 3 nights, the room was clean and comfortable. It had a small fridge and microwave which was great. I checked out the pool and spa and they were well maintained and appropriate temperatures. I hate an over cool pool! The staff were kind and courteous. They went out of their way to accommodate my disability. The continental breakfast was good hot food was hot and cold food was cold! All in all a descent place to stay for a fair price.

Currently staying here and this place is awesome. All of the staff have been quite helpful and accommodating. They have a few minor issues they need to work on, but definitely the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time! VERY NICE pool area that is "fun for both kids and adults." They are quite a busy place though, so probably want to make your reservation early, especially of you are traveling with a group of people! They also have a nice fitness room with TVs and you can view the pool area from the fitness room!!

We stayed here because my husband really wanted a jacuzzi in the room since he can't go in the public hot tubs.

The room was nice, jacuzzi worked great.

I went down and tried out the water slide, which was fun even for an adult. Others were enjoying the basketball hoop and the hot tub looked like it had plenty of room for a lot of people.

However, there weren't any clean towels available so I had to drop dry and scurry to our room soaking wet.

The breakfast was great with hot eggs, meat and much more!

Antonia was perfect in handling our walk-in stay this week. She went above and beyond to accommodate as our travel plans changed day-to-day around the scheduling of Mayo Clinic. The suite was spacious (worth the extra cost) and the beds comfortable.

While we didn’t use the swimming pool during our short stay, we were impressed by the cleanliness of the pool, slides, and pool room. It was obvious the staff put a lot of effort into maintaining that feature.

Breakfast was a diverse and enjoyable amenity. Better than what most other places offer post-Covid.
